  1. I'm looking for instructions for custom modular buildings. I would be willing to pay for them on paypal or through bricklink. I prefer them to be done by Cafe Corner standards. I'm mainly looking for some buildings to use some of my CMFs in like the butcher, artist, all the musicians, weightlifter, boxers, and computer programmer.

    [MOC] Modularized Police Station

This project started when my nephew dropped my Police Headquarters trying to move it from the shelf to the desk, smashing it into its component parts. The timing was good, though, because I was getting a little bored of that configuration and wanted to get my feet wet in building something myself, but was a little reluctant to tear down the set. But, because almost everything in this MOC came from the Police Headquarters set and it's a fairly utilitarian design, rather plain in comparison to both the official modulars and the MOCs I've seen here and elsewhere on the web. Also the change from facade to complete-with-four-walls building stretched the pieces pretty thin, so my result is more precinct house than headquarters. Here's the front view: As I said, it's a bit on the plain side for a modular. But, I guess it looks a bit like your average glass-fronted building. Side view: Rear view: Since I have no street, the cruiser has to park in the alley. Interior, first floor: After an earlier iteration, I added stairs to the second story. It left me with a much-smaller holding cell, but it really did improve the build. Interior, first floor: He barely has any room in there. Interior, first floor: He may not be the Chief of Police of Malibu, but the desk sergeant will bean you with his coffee mug. Interior, second floor: A detective perp sweats a suspect, who is foolishly talking to the detective without his attorney present. Roof access: Roof: here's the trap door closed. Roof: This is where I finally got a little greebly. Roof: I think it's clear that I'm looking forward to the upcoming Commissioner Gordon minifig. Disassembled into its component modules:

    MOC: Lion's Heart Hotel

Hi guys. Here is my latest modular - the Lion's Heart Hotel. A small boutique hotel, with just three rooms, including a very spacious penthouse. This one is also inspired by a Brisbane building - the Inchcolm Hotel. It has an elevator, which is borrowed from the Town Hall (the design, not the actual elevator). In the lobby is a statue of the knight who was said to have the heart of a lion in battle. And a neat little telephone bench. The first floor has a single and a double room. And the best room in hotel, the penthouse suite. The hotel is missing a restaurant and bar, but our guests will just have to go next door. I don't think I'd be able to lift the building if I added another floor! Good excuse to add a restaurant to the list of buildings to do. There are more photos on flickr. Comments and suggestions always welcome.

    MOC - Friends Modular Building

B-OM-34A Hello, I was hesitating for quite some time before posting this as it's my first my first MOC since probably around 1980 and as you can see my photography skills are obviously not that great. Plus a lot of stuff is just simply copied straight from the sets. But I figured, what the hey, someone might enjoy it and hopefully I've figured out how to post the pics here. This is one is made using parts from the first wave of Friends sets and a couple of pick a brick cups. Peter and Anna had a mid-life crises and left their middle management jobs and home in the suburbs to follow their passions in the heart of Heartlake City. Peter has always had a love for hair styling and finally has opened his very own beauty parlor and Anna is exploring her deep love of pastry cooking in the space below. Having no commute has really freed up a lot of time in their lives to perfect their talents. Sorry for the non-LEGO Pinky Pie, but she couldn't resist Anna's cupcakes ! If these pics don't show up, here's a link to the flikr page: http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/

    MOC: Psychiatrist Office

B-OM-34B I had this facade sitting on on the table as a WIP for a couple of months. It was based on a bank in Brisbane, but I couldn't figure out how to make it fit a 32-wide baseplate. It didn't do the bank building justice as a 16-wide, so I decided it was going to be professional offices of some sort, and eventually came up with the idea to fit it out as a psychiatrist's office. I was stuck for ideas on how to do the back. I wanted to make a garden, but that would have looked out of place. I ended up filling the empty space with my first attempt at a "Mark of Falworth" tree (thank you for the tutorials!). I think I need a lot more practice. Ideas for what should go at the back of a non-residential building are welcome! A look at the reception on the ground floor: And the office on the first floor: More photos on flickr. Comments and suggestions welcome.

    [MOC] WIP Modular Townhouse

Hey guys, I'd like to introduce my WIP Townhouse MOC. With a complicated financial situation ATM, I turned to LDD to start creating something on my own. This is at the same time my first LDD and first modular MOC (but It's 4 story high). The outside is pretty much done, but I'm still not happy with the roof. I'm working on the inside (furniture is OK, but need some more stuff). I'll be glad to have your feedback on that, I do plan to build it for real when I can afford to. The pics are so-so, I'll try to do it better tonight.

    MOC: Streamline moderne shop

Hi everyone! Here is a quick build I made after returning from the US in the summer where I got a little inspiration. It gave me a chance to use some techniques which I wanted to use a long time ago. I wanted to use lots of classic streamline moderne elements and styles. Its a shop selling clothes for ladies. I mainly wanted to concentrate on the fascia of the building so didn't bother making it completely modular like previous builds. There is a few more pics on here http://www.flickr.co...s/52656812@N04/ Comments welcome!
  9. As a Lego fan, I am slowly starting to enter some grey age again. I can easily without my bricks, but when sale hits in, I'm getting pumped up again. Last weekend I saw the Diagon Alley set for €99, quite a bargain you should say, but because of my 'grey age' I left it on the self. But ideas kept crawling through my mind to turn these buildings into some modular buildings. For inspiration, I browsed through the Google and stumpled upon this site with some photos of the Harry Potter Tour in London. So I opende up LDD and started building. As Ollivanders is one of the most iconic buildings of Diagon Alley, I started with this one. I'm really pleased with the round windows (and the door in between). But I got stuck on the roof, so it's just 10217's Ollivanders roof for now. Then I started with a rather common building for Diagon Alley, that I turned into Quality Quidditch Supplies. Here are some printscreens straight from LDD (should try that render plug in sometime soon to make the pics a bit more attractive) As you can see I used a lot of bricks that are actually in 10217, as I wanted to experiment with the bricks in the set (of course I'll add the required parts from my own collection) But I'm in doubt, does this moc have the potential to be brick build, if so I buy the official set this Saturday, or should I just leave it with the LDD.. In any case I would like to have some feedback on the build itselfs, especialy on the rooftops and the best colour for the Quidditch shop to go with the green. Thanks in advance
  10. I have always admired 'Sonicstarlight's' Medevil Market Pub. A lot of people did the same and the topic kept popping up. I asked him if i could reproduce his buildinng for my own town and he didn't mind and even offered help. The one thing he asked was, that i showed him te finished building. Well.... It isn't finished yet, but ready for publicing. I only have to include an interior to the top floor, Well, here is the front of the building. I chose to use different color windows. I now see that a poor boy fell down in front of the entrence, and there is no one to help him. Maybe i am in need for a hospital in my town. Here is the back of the building A closer look as the front. This is a part of my Rathaustrasse in Bricksterdam. This building will be placed next to my Sushi Bar. The entrence to the bar in close-up And the entrance to the gentelmans club on the first floor Hé, Someone did pick up the little boy. Hope he isn't hurt. The inside of the bar. A lot of people there. I kept Sonicstarlights Jukebox, because i think it was a masterpiece. The Second floor, a Gentleman's Club, with Pooltable and Soccertable. (I didn't catch Sonicstarlights Soccertable, but content wit the result though) The third floor is not finished yet on the inside. I have had until this moment no idea what to put into it. Has anyone an suggestion for me? This is all i have on the inside at this moment On the roof i made a few alterations. I saw the golden trident and wanted to use it, this is the result. Next to this building will also be one of Sonicstarlights buildings, the Butchershop. This is how far i have come with it. I hope you will like my effort and as always, i am open for suggestions en remarks from all of you. Thanks people, for the source of inspiration you all are. I love this Forum.
