  1. Infernum

    Proudrock Fortress

Sir Infernum, the warriors of Arcium, and the warriors of Rascliff Castle trek to Proudrock Fortress, where they are besieged by the Hand. Sir Infernum, the lord of Rascliff Castle, and a ranger watch the battle from the tower, while warriors man the crossbows. The Hand charges the door. Charge! Love this pic! Bad interior shot. Really like the table thing with bows and quiver. Lower level. Block the door! Note the door. Figless. I like it better like this. Wall. Love the damaged parts. Tree-less? I really love how this turned out. I think it shows how much I've improved as a builder over the last few months. Hope you like it!
  2. This is a freebuild by me and my brother Erikur! "Red it riseth, after raging battle, the Sun up high in heaven's dome, the eye of the One-Eyed earl of gods, whose sheen shineth, the shield blazing, on Middangeard, home of men. The hosts of the Hand, most hateful evil, the lands in shade and shadow cloaked, freedom's unfriend with fingers groping. The Wyrm-clan wended war to wage against the gruesome ghoulish fiends. To corrupted castle the clan of bravest housecarls and haleths headed was, with stratagem clever the warriors stoutly came into the castle and clashed with its guards. For the burg they battled, their brands like flashes of lightning lashed, lives they ended. Arngrim the foe of fiends undead and Sigolf the Bane of Brími the dragon brothers in battle the blood avenged of Sigmund their father, of kings most famed. They thwarted the thegns, with thorns of steel, they killed the corrupted crusaders of terror, the necromancer of nameless horror and his vassals the vanguards of doom." Thus sang of their deeds in years untold the skalds in all Mitgardia, and their heroic legacy was never forgotten.
  3. Infernum

    Rascliff Castle

We journeyed back to Rascliff Castle, a powerful and ancient Mitgardian safehaven. Here we will be able to regroup out of the reach of the Hand of Corruption. - Sir Infernum I love how this turned out, my biggest MOC yet! Lowest level. Crossbowing battlement! Manned by a warrior of Rascliff castle. Another battlement, with an Arcium Archer. I love the doors! Inspired by SK and SoT! There's a third battlement type thing. Rascliff Castle harbors hundreds of Mitgardians every day. This is a ranger who is staying at the castle. I love this window technique! Not sure who invented it. Tower segment. So you can see the floors. There's a full interior! It's also modular! Sir Infernum and his second in command talking to the lord of Rascliff Castle. This storage room is full of barrels of purified water, as well as drinking glasses, in case of siege. The blacksmith's room. Barrels of arrows, a chest of weapons, a table for an ornate blade, and a great sword mounted to the wall. I love the technique to attach the sword. Bunk bed! A... room... The great hall on the bottom floor. Who's that woman? To be revealed... Platform for archers. That's all! I love how this MOC turned out! I think it's my best MOC by a lot! Hope you like it!

    Bannockburn-Tower

I came up with some new plant designs for this (at least as far as I know). The tower has a full interior and all the doors open. Joktan and Jayan succeeded in gaining the support of the Hradcanny dwarves and are leading them to attack a Hand of Corruption Castle. Here they pass by the city walls of Bannockburn: More pictures here: link All comments/criticism appreciated

    Hollow Lane

In Southern Mitgardia the forests are lush and the soil is soft. So over the years roads have eaten into the ground creating some hollow lanes, hidden from the eyes of most everyone. They provide a perfect way to travel unseen, but a dumb place to be caught traveling! "Hey, there father Dwarf, where might you be traveling and what do I see in the back of your cart" asked the leader of the free roaming Varlyrian mercinaries as the dwarven ale traders stumble into an uncomfortalbe situation. "Well suh, dunno what you mean!" "Gee, I mean those lovely kegs there! Dwarven ale I assume correctly? I'm sure that I have a much better use of them then those fancy ladies and gentlemen in Mpya Stedor. So why wouldn't you be so kind as to hand them over to me and my friends!" The dwarfes were stunned. Normally humans didn't travel these old roads, and they had been sure not to be molested here on a road that was usually not known to many outsiders. The things weren't right in Mitgardia anymore after this Victor Revolword had started the whole thing. The dwarves looked at each other and were ready to hand over their kegs. They were trapped! Luckily Steen Larsson, on his way to Mpya Stedor, showed up behind them and taught those Varlyrians a bitter lesson: NEVER MESS WITH MITGARDIA!!
  6. Infernum

    Hunted

I was captured at our encounter with the Hand of Corruption at the ruins of Mythros... Luckily for me my second-in-command was as sharp as ever. He rescued me from the Hand and gave me a sword. Together we ran towards the rest of our troops, followed by Hand Beserkers. Luckily around two thirds of our troops escaped. -Sir Infernum I think this is my best build yet! I think the path, vegetation, and landscaping all turned out well. Hope you like it!

    Hradcanny Hall

Pillars, table, and chairs inspired by Gideon's cool interior for challenge VI, and the doors were inspired by some of SoT's stuff. I had fun with the figs and furniture in this build. Also used a couple of tips from Gideon concerning presentation. Joktan and Jayan are meeting with some Hradcanny nobles in one of Hradcanny's many great halls: More pictures here: link All C&C appreciated
  8. Infernum

    Encounter

My lord Victor, We ambushed them in the ruins of the city of Mythros. They didn't expect any trouble on their return journey... well they were far from right. They found themselves ambushed, separated, and outnumbered. We had joined the elite guards of Cedrica, experienced, battle hardened veterans. Together with my elite troops and beserkers we were able to quickly overwhelm them. Don't expect trouble any time soon from the warriors of Arcium. Your Servant, Murthan Overview of the scene. I was going for an Amon-hen style scene, with ruins, lots of bad guys, and only a few heros. I love the ruins! A beserker leader and two normal beserkers run into the fray! The leader of the Cedricans, Rakthan Blade, duels sir Infernum. Another soldier of Arcium, outnumbered. Whole scene. Figless. The collectable minifigure Roman Commander makes a great Cedrican Warrior! Hope you liked it!

    Hradcanny Gatehouse

Another build showing some of the great Dwarven city of Hradcanny. This particular build shows one of the gates into the underground sections of the city. Jayan is originally from Hradcanny so he and Joktan have come to try and gather some dwarves willing to help fight the Hand outside of their city: More pictures showing the interior here: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=602 Any C&C appreciated
  10. This is Khudrin the dwarf's little shop in Valholl. He makes both weapons and jewelry for the people of Mitgardia though his finest works are heirloom weapons commissioned by the great and powerful (and those who'd like to think themselves so). He is surprisingly patriotic for a dwarf; owing largely to the great amount of coin he has managed to make beneath the guild's bright banners. Even with as little crime as Valholl has, it is comforting to him to know that his shop lies directly beneath a post of the city guard. This is my first build for Mitgardia (of many to come!). Comments, criticism, carrots?

    Valholl's Southern Gate

Much of this build was inspired by Ecclesiastes' builds. There is a full interior in the gatehouse (even murder holes), the portcullis works as do the doors and there is a full interior. The cooper's house also has a full interior. Story: The southern gatehouse of Valholl is also a lighthouse, as most supplies are delived to Valholl via the river. Sir Glorfindel was the first to greet Sir Edwyn as he arrived at Valholl's harbor. "Welcome Sir Edwyn, I've heard much about you. I am Sir Glorfindel, officer of Valholl and I am to accompany you on your mission." "Thank you Glorfindel, but my orders did not specify why I was to come to Valholl." "Oh, well we can remedy that soon enough, Elon Chorian will give us the mission specifics at our meeting. Come, he is waiting at the citadel." Portcullis down: Doors closed: Warehouse: Cooper's: More pictures here: http://brickbuilt.org/Valholl-Gate.php I used a new backdrop for these pictures and I like it a lot. All comments/criticism appreciated

    The Dark March

As Historicans entered the city of Cedrica to kick Victor out of power the dark wizard sent a message to one of his elite generals, Murthan. The letter read: General, Take your army, capture Mitgardia while the warriors are in Cedrica. Mitgardia will be easily captured without their warriors. You will have surprise and time on your side, the warriors will linger long in Cedrica, in defeat, celebration, or battle. If we are defeated we will regroup in Migardia. Be swift! -Victor. Upon reading the letter Murthan gathered his soldiers and set out. Watching his soldiers, he stood in a tower and prepared his strategy. Another freebuild. I wanted to use my tower design again. I just love it so much! I also tried an irregullar base. How do you like it!
  13. Infernum

    The Mountain Pass

Sir Infernum leads the warriors of Arcium that fought in Cedrica back to their homeland. They treck through the mountain pass on their way back. While they talk happily about the victory at Cedrica, someone is watching them... A Hand scout... The whole scene again Two warriors of Arcium. These are the standard troops I'll be using. I just wish I had more helmets, green arms, and PoP armor pieces... Hope yu like it! For Mitgardia!
  14. In the summer the south of Mitgardia becomes full of swamp as the ice further north melts. Here a soldier of Arcium rides to tell his fellow warriors of the presence of a Hand of Curruption army. Will he make it in time to warn them? The bridge. The warrior of Arcium Just the soldier. Somebody wanted to help me take pictures. Hope you like it! Yesterday I built what I believe is my best MOC yet, so expect it soon...ish.

    To Valholl!

Glorfindel has gathered as many Mitgardian soldiers as possible and is headed to Valholl, on the way he comes across a Hand of Corruption raiding party: Without figs: All C&C welcome

    Returning Home

After the battle at Cedrica a brave Mitgardian warrior make the long journey home. As he sees the snow on the ground he can't help but let a smile cross his face. He is finally home. The whole scene The tree. This was the first thing I built of the scene. The fig. Lastly a picture of the stream. I really like how this turned out! I like the orange-ish bricks on the bank. I've still got three more MOCs to post soon, so be on the look out!
  17. "Ow no!!!! I slammed the door too hard and now my windows are broken " "Where did you bought them?" "Somewhere in Avalonia I think' "I have one tip for you, buy new windows made in Mpya Stedor! They are the best quality you could wish!" "I heard a lot of good things about them, I really should try them!" The Mpya Stedor Golden Window Company, we brighten up your day! The windows are made from high quality gold from Amenor. In the past it came from Avalonia, but since some Avalonians (I am saying no names CBB) are blockading the traderoutes, we had to find a more valuable partner. What was not a bad thing as the quality is even better! How does it works? You can see it in here: Interested in our fine quality windows? Contact one of our traders or embassadors!! Thanks for viewing! C&C is welcome!! edit: The MSGWC is a part of MAESTRO and its windows can be bought in your local MUST-shop!
  18. Departure of the Southern Lions from Messahmuk's Western Gate [if you've read the next few paragraphs in the Kaliphlin thread, then skip ahead] Gex put down the letter from Dugal, and stared out the window of the guard captain's quarters in the Western Gatehouse in Messahmuk, pondering the ever-increasing difficulties of the war against Revolword and the higher and higher personal costs. Outside, there was the clatter of stonemasons' chisels and hammers, from the repairwork on the gatehouse, heavily damaged in an attack by earth elementals a week ago. Farther in the distance, rows of newly dug graves lined the ancient Western Shore Road. At least this gate is still standing, thought Gex randomly, the northern gate is still completely destroyed and impassable. "Is it authentic?" asked Butellius, the captain of the guard, whose men had received the missive from a white turbaned man on a camel from Queenscross. "Yes, quite so," sighed Gex. "I recognize Dugal's hand, and this is definitely his seal. The accompanying note, from Tyras, my factor in Queenscross, also attests that Dugal wrote and sealed it in his presence, and Tyras' word is unquestioned. Poor Dugal! I never suspected this of Petera!" "Then the situation in Queenscross is dire indeed. Dugal dead, and a larger enemy army than we feared approaching the city. If they take Queenscross, there's little to stop them before they reach the walls of Petraea." groaned Makenippa, the current secretary of the Council of Elders. Gex broke out of his solemn reverie, turned back to Makenippa, and his demeanor changed to one of action. "We need to send troops to Queenscross, immediately. I don't know where we'll find them, since we're sending the Southern Lions to help save Mypa Stedor. We can't let the enemy break through Queenscross, or worst-case, the Jackals' Teeth at the top of the Escarpment Pass. Otherwise they can ravage Mophet and the other oil towns on their way to Petraea. I'll send Growlfarghh the werewolf to the coordinates that Dugal requested; he's the best one for the job." "I'll call a Council meeting for tonight," said Makenippa. "We have no more troops to send. The Southern Lions are loading on the ships as we speak. The Silver Shields are half destroyed, and we need the remainder to protect Messahmuk, the valley, and the mines and armories at Erezhi. At all costs, we can't lose Erezhi, and we certainly can't let it fall into Revolword's hands." "I know," said Gex. "We'll have to think of something. Let's hope for some good news from Mypa Stedor..." [OK, picking up the story now...] Late that day, Gex composed a letter to Tyras Jazar, his factor in Queenscross: Tyras, I hope this letter finds you still alive and Queenscross still strong. I received your letter this morning, and it quite threw the Council of Elders into a panic. We did not expect that things would go so wrong up north so quickly. Dugal's untimely demise is a heavy blow. We had already committed most of the available troops, consisting largely of the Southern Lions, to help support Damaximus at Mpya Stedor. Makenippa was worried enough that we wouldn't be able to protect the city and the mines and armories at Erezhi. But our prayers have been answered! While the Council was (heatedly) discussing our limited options, a messenger burst in from the docks, quite out of breath. He was so excited he could barely get the message out -- one of the PGTC's ships had just arrived from Mpya Stedor with the news that the city walls had held, and Damaximus had won a great victory against Valsharess and the Hand! Apparently many are dead, and Valsharess captured! Well, you can imagine the relief at this news! Cheering, hurrahs, etc! Old Gerships Hamilcarzi even broke into his private stash of Siccus Ultra Reserve '37 and gave everyone a drink! I suppose miracles really do happen. The Southern Lions were immediately ordered to unload from their ships and redeploy northwards as soon as possible to support Queenscross. You can imagine the grumbling from the ranks. It took a few hours to unload, and then a few more to arrange a baggage train for an overland journey, plus we had to bring the cavalry too, which we wouldn't have needed at Mpya Stedor. It was late afternoon before they left the city, but they should make good time up to Queenscross as long as they don't run into any trouble. Count Darzag is leading the expedition; he's quite competent. It was quite a sight as they marched out of the Western Gate, resplendent in the late afternoon sun! I'm sure they will look even better to you all as they march down from the Escarpment towards your city! They had to use the Western Gate, as the Northern Gate is still quite destroyed from Revolword's elemental attack several weeks ago; it's totally impassable. The Western Gate sustained damage, but is still very usable. It's not fancy, but that most ancient of our city gates held up quite well. The troops have directions to get to Queenscross as soon as possible, and if the city has already fallen, to fall back to the Jackals' Teeth, and thence back to defend Petraea. Their secondary mission is to ensure that there are no ravaging bands of the Hand threatening Erezhi. Give Paulos any assistance you can; he's a good one, and he has Dugal's blessing. Please return this falcon with any news of Queenscross, as well as any intelligence of the enemy's troop movements. As I expect you will have a hard time of it soon, I am sending three ships with supplies to Barqa, and then up the river to you. You may dispose of the supplies as you see fit; this is not the time to worry about profit. If Queenscross falls, I believe I shall have to bring whatever remaining troops we can find and help defend Petraea, leaving the Muk Valley and Erezhi essentially undefended. Wyndifera sends her best, and says that you and Yasminafa must come down to our place in the Mystic Mountains if things get too bad in Queenscross. I know you won't leave, but perhaps you will send her on? Darzag can arrange transportation. I hope this is enough to help you all. Good luck to you all! Yours in Kaliphlin, Gex Departure of the Southern Lions I kept the design of the gatehouse and walls fairly simple and clean, trying to make it look like a more ancient and slightly decrepit structure, before ornamentation got popular, or perhaps built when the city didn't have enough money for fancy buildings. (Plus that makes it easier to build!) The structure is fully detachable -- the walls detach from the gatehouse, and the each floor of the gatehouse and the wall tower lift off so you can see the interior of each floor. Someday I'll try to get photos of the interiors; they're pretty basic right now. There is a slot through the middle for the portcullis, although, as you can see, the earth elemental ripped it out and left it against the gatehouse wall. Departure of the Southern Lions - leading the way Count Darzag leading the Southern Lions to help defend Queenscross and Petraea Departure of the Southern Lions - front oblique Departure of the Southern Lions - front left Departure of the Southern Lions - the workers These guys have a lot of work to do to fix the gatehouse and city walls! Get back to work, before another earth elemental shows up! Departure of the Southern Lions - left side This is not technically part of the 6th Challenge (too big), and not part of the Kaliphlin off-to-war mini challenge (again, too big). But the story is relevant to my challenge entry, so I suppose it's a freebuild prelude to the challenge. Enjoy; C&C welcomed.

    RvB TOR III Red team

Big Cam PMed me earlier this day and sent me this picture he took a couple of months ago. At that time we hunted the pirate down and imprisoned most of his crew. He decided to show us where they hid their confiscated goods. He also took the group picture of us after we found and dug up the gold. We then let him go and he promised he'll behave. If he goes on some raiding spree again, we'll at least have a challenge since the blues don't offer any! Without any further ado, I present to you TOR III red team: P.S.: I made up ZCerberus, since he didn't provide his avatar and also added Morthen, who also didn't authorize his avatar but I liked the version from his comic. Hope you two don't mind ...
  20. Hail to thee, now for my second moc... The springs of Mt.Mitgard known for their healing properties. Water from these springs can help cure even the most persistent diseases and the most grievous wounds. It also makes for a potent addition to the healing potions made by the sorcerors of the Wyrm Clan. A shrine to the God of fire (Do we have a name for the fire god already? Otherwise i suggest Leukan, an early name for Loki god of fire and trickery).

    Dwarven Garden

Even dwarves love flowers. This powerful Dwarve lord is no exception. Deep in the mountains of Mitgardia lies his private magnificent private garden. Today he goes there to reflection on if he should aid the men of Mitgardia in the upcoming battle against Revolword. So this is my entry to the Garden mini-challenge. I think it came out pretty well. Another picture. I really like the dwarven feel that the big columns give off. The waterfall flows out of a chamber above. I used slopes for the base and I love how it came out! The dwarve lord. He looks a bit like a character in The Hobbit... Hope you enjoyed this MOC!

    RvB part VI: Gunning

Well here you go Brig. Brick. This is a short story of when we last met. You forgot? Let me remind you, the gun did not backfire either time, you just pointed it in the wrong direction! Ok, this took me much longer than I thought ... bed time ... zzzzzzz. In case you missed: part I: Fencing part II: Artillery part III: Navigation part IV: Marksmanship part V: Drinking

    RvB part II: Artillery

There's quite a lot of trash-talk going on in the previous topic but I prefer pure facts to some made up stories ... I only joined the redcoats this year and here is how I learned the bluecoat's stupidities from our experienced Commander: In case you missed: part I: Fencing
  24. Hail to thee, this is the first MOC created by me and my brother on this forum known as Sigolf Brimabane (ok second for my brother but whatever XD). Close to the summit of Mt.Mitgard stands the ancient fortress of the Wyrm Clan whose founder slew the primordial wyrm whose skull now crowns the battlements of the fortress... The Wyrm Clan hold the Mountain as sacred, as it reverberates with the ancient primal magic of the fire god, and vigilantly protect it and its surrounding against intruders who would defile this sacred place. The fortress is but the gate to the Wyrm Clan's abode as they reside within the mountain, protected from the heat of the burning mountain by powerful magic wards created when the founders of the clan first settled the place. Inside the mountain is the Volcanic forge of the Wyrm Clan where they create weapons and armor imbued with the primal magic of the mountain. The only way up to the fortress is a narrow mountain trail unless the Clan allows you to use their cableway (normally used to move goods up and down the mountain). the damage on the wall is from an attack by an elemental . inside guardhouse. Backside, also Sigmund proud Chieftain of the Wyrm Clan inside the tower. The tower The heroes of the Wyrm Clan departs to join the fight against Revolword (presumably we join lord Glorfindel as he is gathering the clans of Mitgardia) Further Moc ideas: The Volcanic Forge inside Mt.Mitgard The Healing Springs of Mt.Mitgard

    Valholl Garden

Here's my entry for the architect mini-challenge. This is a scene from a Valholl courtyard, a gardener is watering the flowers while the lady enjoys her walk: Few more pics here: http://brickbuilt.tk...holl-Garden.php Thanks for looking, all C&C welcome
