  1. Hey everyone! I submitted "Phineas and Ferb: Invention Collection" to LEGO Ideas. If we reach 10k votes, LEGO may consider producing it as a real set. I’d love to hear your thoughts and really appreciate any support😊 Support link: https://beta.ideas.lego.com/product-ideas/ffa34fea-90fb-4937-a0e9-03b12e5c9e1b About my idea: Recreate the iconic characters, scenes and inventions in this "Phineas and Ferb: Invention Collection". Your toolbox is packed with play features! Why? Phineas and Ferb is my favorite animated series, I watched every school day when I was younger. This timeless cartoon is full of unforgettable storylines, clever humor, catchy songs and unthinkable creations. Bringing that creativity into LEGO is a perfect match!
  2. Hi, i come with new creations! Since LEGO released a new BrickHeadz. Some peoples make a Various BrickHeadz creations (you can see in here), so i want to make my own. Here is some of my MOCs based on BrickHeadz range: Elvis Presley: and McDonald's Ronald (not a promotion): I don't know will i make other BrickHeadz MOCs, so just that for now! More information about these models in My Website!
  3. DEAR LEGO STAR WARS FANS!!!! If you have found your way to this account, you are either interested in the world of LEGO Micro-building... or you just clicked on a wrong link somewhere and are now very surprised to be surrounded by these tiny marvels of creations... or not. If the former is true then, welcome. In 2011 I received my first STAR WARS Advent Calendar for Christmas, and was blown away by the sheer ingenuity and accuracy capturing the looks of iconic ships in truly micro form. Naturally, I had to have a go myself! I built a few... I was pleased... I built some more... and here we are nearly 6 years later, and I am still building them. I began by reading my first LEGO STAR WARS Visual Dictionary (DK) and building a micro of EVERY SINGLE SET IN THE BOOK! With that now exhausted, I moved onto the 2014 edition with more sets... I built all of those too. So now I just build a micro of every new star wars set that has, is, or will come out since 2014, amongst other iconic and less well-known ships from STAR WARS 'non-canon' such as the Old Republic, Freemaker Adventures, Yoda chronicles to name but a few. With a back catalogue of over 270 mini micros and counting, this truly is the World's largest Encyclopaedia of STAR WARS micro kits. Enjoy! -- JamesArts It would mean a lot to me as a budding MOC builder if you checked out my flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/151467275@N04/albums and my YouTube Channel (JamesArts Bricks UK): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmYOMZz6DyvM1euY2qrRfpA/featured?disable_polymer=1
  4. This is my first Moc after coming out of the Dark Age. I have always loved winter and Christmas and I am very happy to have spent two years building this village; unfortunately the time available is always little and I can put some bricks only a couple of times a month. The photos are a bit old and a new version of this village is already under construction _DSC2659 by Alessio Stebel, su Flickr _DSC2611 by Alessio Stebel, su Flickr Link to the complete gallery: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmbqiRwn
  5. Transformer spaceship which transforms to bird robot
  6. "Long ago, far to the southwest of all of Historica... "There lay, and there lies still, a tall and lonely city, which is called, Ilesole." "Forgive me! Please!" "It is not for me to forgive..." "But if the skies above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath... "If the sea into which he was cast is washed away with time, "If the sun dries up that sea so that the water no longer parts us, if he can walk from there to here! "Oh, then will the child be forgiven; then will he also be pardoned… "For what he hath done…" “Water… is merciful…” “Not like fire.” “My name is Ásgeir Di Cioto... I come from Ilesole.”
  7. With an index of all the MOCs now live there are a lot of cool builds to find and reviews to read. Some of these threads are rather old, creations shared by members who have long since left the forum or simply gone inactive, reviews for themes long since passed. Of course, we want to share the cool things we find and comment on the builds and reviews, but bumping is not the best. So the solution is this thread! If you find an old MOC (anything dated from last year backwards) or review and you want to share the find, make a comment or discuss a point then post in here with a link. Of course, you could try dropping the builder/reviewer a message or @ them in the post you make here. You never know who still lurks around. Happy treasure hunting.
  8. I wanted to buy all parts for my first MOC on Bricklink and since i've never done this i wanted to ask You few questions. A. Firstly there are two sites on Bricklink to buy from Wanted list: 1. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/buy.page?utm_content=subnav 2. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/wanted/shop.page From this what i check second is better as You exactly see what parts are You missing and in what count, and is showing better prices when using autofinder, which do You use and why there are two diffrent sites? B. Do You buy bricks only from country in which You are living (because of lower costs of delivery)? Or from whole continent like Europe (from this what i see it is better option as You are able to buy all parts in most cases) Or You are just using option from anywhere, but delivery costs aren't too high in this option? C. Besides filters: -exclude disliked stores -exclude stores that do not ship to me It is worth to use any others? D. Are You buying in stores when total price is below min buy? E. Are You buying parts for MOCs from anyother pages, is it worth? Thanks for help!

  11. Hi, I'm a noob here, living in Bangladesh. I've created a few versions of the monumental Bangladeshi Parliament building, designed by Louis Kahn, one of the greatest architects of the 20th Century and a master of the Brutalism style. Its walls use unusual geometric shapes that allow for a complex interplay of light inside. The artificial lake, from which the building appears to rise, was made to recall the riverine beauty of Bangladesh. The overall building is a rough octagon, though not equilateral(!). Inside, the central structure is a regular hexakaidecagon (16 sides), which goes down to a regular octagon. Being a beginner, I just couldn't figure out how to resolve these irregularities. The solution was to leave out the base plate and roof altogether while simplifying the hexakaidecagon. Oh, well. This MOC is about 8,000 pieces. It was a lot of fun figuring out all the internal windows, circles, and triangles. It's still an ongoing project, but has reached a pretty good stage of completion that I can show it off. JS Trophy Size South Side by J&J Lego Creations, on Flickr The south face and main entrance. LEGO doesn't make a 4x4 Macaroni plate (only tiles and bricks) -- why not? So I'm stuck with the awkward gaps at the top of the pillars where I need them to be hollow. JS Trophy Size North Side by J&J Lego Creations, on Flickr The north (Presidential) face. Inside are stairwells framed within large circles, at oblique angles. JS Trophy Size North Side Detail by J&J Lego Creations, on Flickr Detail inside the Presidental face of the stairwells. The original is a hexakaidecagon resolving to an octagon. I kept it octagonal throughout. The seating for the members of parliament can be seen below. JS Trophy Size Assembly Hall by J&J Lego Creations, on Flickr The Assembly building opens up to show the parliament seating and the Library on the bottom floor. Interior window designs can also be seen. JS Trophy Size Library by J&J Lego Creations, on Flickr Library with the famous central column - the only column in the whole building. Thanks for your support! I would certainly appreciate constructive feedback from better builders than myself.

  15. Hello guys ! Here is my Oil refinery, which I have completed recently . It is a mini version of Atmospheric distillation unit, which is a primary process in oil production. Everything is made as close to reality as possible with and opportunity for addition of more units and making even larger plant . There was a local competition celebrating 55 years from oil production in Bulgaria and I sent some photos of my creation. Last week I was contacted from the organizers and they asked if they could buy the set from me and store it at their museum. I have never considered selling a set or creation before and feel a bit confused. Can you advice me what kind of price I could want for it ? https://myalbum.com/album/sTEPkCBPCtBq

  18. Hey guys! As some of you know, I recently got back to Lego trains after 15 years of neglect. A close friend of mine thought it was a good idea to document my progress, thoughts and plans on a personal blog, so others would be able to one day build their own big layouts and see what I struggled with and how they can do it better. I'd like you guys to check it out and use this forum to comment on my posts and maybe give me suggestions (I love ideas) on things you would want to hear about or see of. This blog is entirely dedicated to my Lego trains project. So far there are 4 blog entries (The latest one is being uploaded right this moment). If you wish to comment on something, let me know which post you're referring to, so I know what the topic is. http://wafa-sadri.de/pages/blog.html Thanks for checking it out! //Edit: By the way, I try to post once a week, every Monday.
  19. Hi all! I'm new here and I just wanted to know what your opinions are on selling MOCs using clone bricks (not bootlegs). Currently, many MOCers are able to provide instructions, but people wanting to build those MOCs either have to: 1) spend a lot of time and money acquiring the necessary pieces over marketplaces like BrickLink, or 2) acquire the pieces from various LEGO sets. It seems as though people could benefit from having clone bricks fill this void, and 3) even if the entire set is available on BL, it's often limited by the bricks that are available on the market. Also, I know how horrible it is that LEPIN would steal designs from MOCers on LEGO Ideas. And I feel terrible that such companies would hurt the community that way and give competitor brands a bad rep. But stealing aside, given how LEGO constantly rejects great LEGO Ideas submissions (with 10k supporters), wouldn't it be great if there was a competitor brand who would take up those designs and turn it into actual sets? I've also been told that clone brands might be helpful in providing MOCers with bricks in certain colours, or out-of-production bricks. The reason I ask all this is because I perceived this need in the community and I was wondering if someone ever tried working with a clone brand manufacturer. I've spoken to a few MOCers to ask if they would like to monetise their designs using clone brands. They do appear interested in monetising, but their opinions differ over the use of clone brands (some were for it, but others couldn't because they felt it would affect their reputation). However, those were just a couple of views. I wanted to know what the wider community thought. Forgive me, I'm quite new to the LEGO community and maybe I don't understand all the issues fully. However, I would really appreciate knowing your thoughts.
  20. I've posted three new fire apparatus MOCs. The first is a Fire Chief SUV that uses Lego's new tires and mudguards from the Speed Champion sets. The result is a design that looks much more realistic and is more properly scaled in relation to my other fire MOCs. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/433885 The second is a rig is based on the FDNY Logistics Support Unit. It responds to major emergencies with additional rescue supplies. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/434036 The third is a Life Flight Helicopter. I wanted a more compact design similar to this helicopter and this helicopter. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/432346 Please let me know what you think. Also, you can now view my MOCs on Twitter and Flickr. Thanks!
  21. Since we just opened our Christmas presents and we are still in the holidays mood, today I want to talk to you about something very special and dear to me. As you may imagine from the title, this story is about me and LEGO, about becoming an AFOL, MOCs, LUGs and communities, the people and the creativity behind the bricks, the LEGO story, fun facts, sources and resources. I invite you to read it on my blog and I hope that you will find it interesting http://alextass.com/personal/30-years-old-playing-lego Have a good read, thank you! :)
  22. I notice there is less resistance against using non-Lego solutions in this board than in the past. In a recent topic about pulleys for a crane, http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/150151-heavy-lift-crane-boom-pulley-design-will-pay-for-ip/, at least three different people suggest modding pulleys by changing the axle hole, while the same problem can be easily solved by putting the wheels on a bar instead of an axle. In a recent topic about turntables, http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/149965-alternative-turntables/, the first suggestions are to use AFOL custom part designs. This is suggested before anyone even thinks about how this can be done in Lego. In http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/148319-little-8865-my-tribute-to-40-years-of-technic, someone built a miniature verson of 8865 using only the springs from the shock absorber parts and the first 20 replies made no mention of that specific point. (What speaks in favor of the builder though, is that he provided an alternative solution using rubber bands.) I thought this was a forum about Lego, where people use Lego pieces to solve problems, without "cheating". I remembered the days where if you used a modified piece your MOC wasn't even considered a Lego model by many people. Nowadays, there's hardly mention on this and it sometimes feels that I'm the only person here that still cares, that can't appreciate a model if the builder copped out somewhere. My rule still is, If you can't do it in Lego, then you can't do it. And a model that doesn't do it is better to me than a model that does it by cheating. After all, if you're allowing A, then why not allow B, and then C, all the way to Z and if that happens, what are we even doing? I understand 3D printing has something to do with it, but isn't the whole sport that you have a limited set of pieces that you'll have to do with, and that that means that some things can't be done? Isn't that the whole idea? I mean, if everything can be done, where's the achievement in doing it? Having done my bit of a rant, I am curious to see how others are seeing this. Have others also noticed a trend over the years? What are your opinions on it? What are your opinions on purism vs. using non-Lego solutions? Do you use non-Lego, and if so, why? What's OK to you and what's not, and why? Custom string? Custom stickers/prints? Custom tyres? Custom coloring? Custom springs? Can you define a limit that makes clear what's within and what's outside? If it's not clear, how do you handle the gray area? If you're an extensive user of non-Lego solutions, why are you into Lego instead of scale modeling in general? What are your opinions about all this?
  23. Greetings everyone. I was just browsing some of the third part sites that sell custom designed helmets for Star Wars characters, and for those of you who have purchased such items before, I had a couple questions. What is the difference between LEGO Brand, Arealight, and Clone Army customs? In particular I'm considering purchasing a Captain Rex helmet and I'm curious which company is superior between the three. Which company has the best quality of material? Which company's helmet is the most accurate? Thank you in advance if anyone answers!
  24. I am wondering what the title says, how long before deconstruction happens on mocs? I usually keep sets together the most, spread between display and use. Usually 4-5 months, then I make a c model, then it stays like that. You probably keep your mocs together longer (I have only 3000 moc parts) and display them on a shelf like they are. Or you are like me, and disassemble a few days later. Share your thoughts.
  25. If anyone has been following my forum posts then you know that I don't make my mocs symmetrical because I don't have enough parts too. I make one side how I want to and then either don't make the other side or just very plain. This is extremely frustrating but I've learned to deal with it. I really want to see the size and layout of peoples Lego setups and displays so I can get inspired and maybe others too. Here's what my display and setup looks like: If you haven't noticed, those beads are stored in an ice cube container...that's how desperate I am :)
