  1. obvious when you see the handrails on the BWE ;-)
  2. I was fortunate enough to build a real one, 14m dia, it would be an interesting Technic build.
  3. Delays are always possible but it has been listed in dealer lists for being available this year.
  4. well just send it to me and I'll bin it for you.
  5. I have 12 on one crane, 4 on another, 4 on my log skidder, and 8 spares, sometimes I look at buying some more, if I build a forwarder I wont have any spares left.
  6. Monday morning is only 5 1/2hrs away here ;-)
  7. Lots of sales at present, Toyworld buy one get one half off until sunday
  8. My brother still has a town hall he wants to sell prob $400NZ plus shipping, new in box. PM me with your email addy so I can pass it on to him if interested
  9. Has the Facebook page only been a recent thing, I only joined facebook myself a few weeks ago, mainly because we are trying to get more social in the Lug, planning more activities and get togethers.
  10. This is the RC compressor/valve module for my rough terrain crane, in the third pic you can see the 1/2 pin which limits the opening of the valve to allow the slow luff down for the boom. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=486169
  11. I have a lattice boom section that I built for my step deck trailer that I could bring as I am not showing that one now, if you want to have a look at it, I dont know if you saw it when you were here. From memory it would be about 100 studs long
  12. Looking good so far Adam. Mine are all packed in the landrover ready to go, just need to find a log for the logskidder in the morning. I am only taking one truck and trailer this year the 8 wheel tipper and trailer since I will be running a stall and wont be able to demonstrate any display models.
  13. Great review of a great set. Unfortunately I sold my two with the RC crisis so I have had to make my own, slightly modernised I have had to modify it since this pic so the rams are the right way up. We had jiggers here but they have been replaced with Suzuki hi-rail 4x4s
  14. Fortunately many rare parts get re- released, Lego designers keep an eye on the higher priced parts and try to use them if they can. I dont know if the linear actuator bracket used in the hauler and telehandler will be released again, but I have kept a couple of haulers I would have otherwise sold, they have also the yellow rims only in that set. I have now been using the LA brackets in torsen diffs so need all I have,(8 I think) maybe more. The 8275 has the pneumatic cylinder brackets (about 70) and the yellow tread sprockets (20) are becoming rare also. The power puller wheels and tyres (28) and the yellow #4 connector (2). At least I can now buy yellow 1x6 thin liftarms (100+) and 3l perpendicular connectors (20) at reasonable prices. Then theres all the metallic silver wheels and dishes from 8285s several sticker sheets, 8285 (3) and 8258 (2) are you sure you want me to go on?
  15. Unless he has a dog named Much
  16. I dont know if anyone has mentioned this anywhere but do these parts interest anyone http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=111819
  17. Looks great, love the style, even though I am into modern. I wish I could be happy with a small layout, takes up a lot of room just to store all my rolling stock.
  18. which are the plates you need, 2x2 square or 2x2 corner?
  19. Is an AAA battery box still too big, I would have thought that would be smaller than anything you could do with AA. The other solution might be the old style 9v battery box with an adaptor cable, it is just a little smaller than the AAA box.
  20. I have been able to watch it now, hope you will have it at the christchurch show, looks an interesting module, I hope to start building a module for next years show.
  21. If this is your best attempt at a positive comment then maybe a comment wasnt neccesary. "If you havent anything positive to say then say nothing" Unfortunately my dodgy internet wont let me view the video at present, hopefully I may be able to see it later when the weather improves.
  22. LUGs that qualify are able to use lugbulk to purchase pieces that were available in last years sets in bulk quantities, usually lots of 50, if you are a lugbulk member that is another option.
  23. The other option is buying them from Lego, the plates are still in production so could be bought direct, if you are a LUG member there is another option.
  24. I have 3, I havent ever built one, just parted them into my collection. For some reason it doesnt interest me much, I have the Tower Bridge built, I quite like that.
