  1. The purple piece is needed for servo motor calibrartion...
  2. Thanks for another awesome update, everyone! I would just like to point out that the brake disc 35189 seems to be lacking the connectivity to pop in into the appropriate hubs.
  3. Are you using a Powered Up hub to control it? You have to program it so the motor knows when it reaches the limit and this way you also get automatic return to center. Check RacingBrick's tutorial:
  4. Well, my BW 3.0 prototype sure made this set go A LOT faster and further than C+ hub. But remember all Lego models have an internal Polyfuse, so there are limits on what kind of power you can push on them. Regarding the set itself.... Why did they put hard shock absorbers with friction pins in front when the soft ones with frictionless pins are much more bouncier (though with a lower gorund clearance).
  5. So with the info that was posted in the Technic 2021 discusion it seems we are getting a 6x6. I expect the following: 3 solid axles using the planetary gear hubs A gearbox to switch between gears just like the Volvo - it can easily be automated using PU's current and RPM detection The same gearbox could also be used to switch to auxilary functions such as a winch, crane arm, etc... I hope the suspension will be a proper one with hard shock absorbers from the Unimog and not some kind of a pendular shortcut that was in 42070.
  6. Probably another vehicle from FF, I'm willing to bet it's the same scale and functionality as the 42111.
  7. Double rear axis or double rear wheels? One is a 4x4, other a 6x6.
  8. Having just built the 42124, I noticed 32138 was also updated, so the bars can no longer be inserted:
  9. That's what the 3.0 was designed for, powering 2 with full performance.
  10. Well done. Do you have any photos of the driveline?
  11. Not to be rude but in 7 days since this topic was opened, the OP could easily take apart and rebuild this set several times, this time carefully paying attanetion to the isntructions, especially position of the wave selector and "that pink thing". Sorry, there is no easy, magical solution to your issue, you have to go back and rebuild it properly.
  12. I think a 1:10 2-door version 2021 Ford Bronco would be a perfect succesor to the Defender: P.S. It could re-use the fender arches from the ferrari.
  13. One thing I noticed with the wave of new sets in 2021 is that the following parts have been redesigned, so they can't accept a bar connection inside the pin anymore: 6628 - Ironic, because Lambo uses this connection for the brake calipers 33299 - not only is the pin a differtent shape, the added a literal wall inside the hole. 48989 These are the redesigned parts I saw so far. For me it's kind of sad they are removing functionality and usage...
  14. I disagree, since the community started updating LDD it has become more useful than ever IMO. Check this topic:
  15. Found more info about this LDD version here: And here: Edit at 2:11 you can see there are 12694 bricks in the assembly!!!
  16. For TC19 I really wanted to do a motorcycle with an extended swing arm, I really like the aesthetic: Here's what progress I made in LDD. I want the motorcycle to be as narrow and slim as possible, hence the V6 is positioned longitudinally. And in real life. Because the elagonated swing arm produces higher forces, it's held in place by two small turntables, which eliminates friction on the secondary driveshaft. Notice something odd about the transmission? Originally i wanted to use a 4 speed gearbox, but since so many people did it already, I decided to use something different. I came up with a fully working CVT gearbox which uses two 2x2 cones and a rubber band to seamlessly change gear ratios between 1:2 and 2:1. The following GIF shows how the shifting lever moves the rubber band sideways using a simple linkage with the drivline powered
  17. Reminds me of Bandito from GTA San Andreas: I would position the rear absorbers higher though, so they are less pre-compressed.
  18. Nice replica. So from what I see the alternating 15L beam is not really necessary for this model, it's just a cleaner build with less bricks needed on the sides?
  19. I'm currently building an entry for the TC19 and it got me thinking.... Do you as builders take care what kind of parts you use when building your models? I'm specifically refering to usage of currently produced and available parts, or do you use rare colored and/or no longer produced parts alongside? Here are examples of such parts I personally noticed used the most. Odd bionicle, slizer and roboriders frames and bits (shout out to @mahjqa): Old gears and chains: Various wheels such as large foam wheels, Power Puller wheels, etc..: And many many more including old panel types, znap pieces, flex system, 9V electric parts, first generation pneumatic, etc... Personally I tend my models to be made from the currently available palette of available parts and colors, so people can replicate them easier. How about you?
  20. I uploaded a video of my MOD: Since meanwhile even more mods pipped up, I'd suggest building the whole models in LDD, so we can all colaborate on it.
  21. I highly doubt this is an official set build, this looks like a very basic MOC.
  22. I originally wanted to use the crown 24Z gear, but AFAIK it's not being produced anymore.
  23. I agree, I suggest @Thirdwigg to update the first post to include the finished photos and I can make it happen As other said, the blue version really stands out. I wanted to ask you on YouTube, but since the comments are not possible, i will ask here. Why did you not use the 8110's torque tube pieces to add more bracing to the axles?
  24. I got my 42123 a month or so ago and while it's a very awesome set out of the boy I knew I had to give it a proper differential. Here's how I did it in LDD: In order to preserve the original engine position the differential is moved back one stud: A pair of 8 tooth gears transfer the power from wheels to the differential: And while I was at it, I also made the steering work using 8 and 24 tooth gears: I plan to make a detailed HOW:TO video tomorrow, so stay tuned. Meanwhile you can download the LDD here: https://bricksafe.com/files/Zblj/42123-differential-and-working-steering-wheel-mod/42123 Differential and Working Steering Wheel MOD.lxf
