  1. Are you trying to turn on the carpet or such surface? The clicking is the safety clutches slipping.
  2. I suggest you take it apart, clean the parts and reassemble it. That usually does the trick for me.
  3. I suggest you turn to Lego Costumer Service.
  4. For thazt reason I learned to import a scaled down 3D file of the original model into LDD, so I can follow all the shapes. Also for me the hardest part is also bodywork, but I'm getting better at it!
  5. Looks straight out of Beverly Hills with those Porsche's rims and tyres. Maybe add some red brake calipers too?
  6. I managed to find a way to fit a differential and a working steering way, I will post more info in a MOD topic.
  7. They could offset the differential longitudally by 2 studs and use parallel gear to get the drive back to the wheels.
  8. I can already see people asking why their wheels are not spinning in the same direction as soon as the set is released. Having said that, I sure hope we get a fully controlled crane and a driveline with a gearbox, so the model can crawl and reach some decent speed.
  9. Thank your for the credit. First time I saw the new tyres on the batmobile, I knew they would be perfect for a smaller scale unimog. And now you built a very sophisticated one packed with more functions than the bigger brother and yet motorized. Well done!
  10. Zetros would be the perfect model to re-use the planetary hubs, maybe we will get another set in the style of 8110.
  11. Looking at the official photos of the upcoming flowers, I don't think TLG has been able to resolve the color issue:
  12. Wow, what a great execution! Brilliant use of the wheel hub as the collective control, might steal that idea
  13. The steering radius is improved too indeed, please see the video for more details.
  14. One question. How is with quality assurance of the newly added parts? Several parts such as 5292, 42716, etc have bad collisions or even literally copy pasted from simillar parts (42716 collision is copy pasted 56145) which are not correct. I appreciate the effort in making new parts, but it's all for nothing if they are not correctly defined.
  15. I would move the steering 12 tooth gears a stud backwards, since currently they are coliding with the central diff. How do you plan to steer the wheels now that they are deeper, we lost one attachment point.
  16. Thanks. Differential is "trapped" between the thin beams and the 20 tooth gear so it can't slip out.
  17. Just calculate the number of sets having them by the number of sets sold and you will get your number. And I perfectly understand why they are blue. As long as people will keep on mixing up orientations of differentials, types of connectors and such, there will be a need to visually distinct the different pieces.
  18. You can modulate the voltage with PWM. And FYI all lego motors are actaully 12V motors and can easily cope with higher voltage. I have yet to fry any servo or any other and trust me, I drove them hard!
  19. Agree, I think the designers first create the best model possible and than the marketing and finances starts to ravage the model until we have only a shell left... or even less with all them gaping gaps. It's kind of sad actually, being constrained and not able to release a perfected model. I kind of feel sorry for the designers, cause (I assume) they get critized internally if the model is too expensive or externally by fans when all the cost savings are visible.
  20. BW 3.0 will work at around 12V, simillar to BW 2,0's ludicrous mode - 3S battery.
  21. We plan to release the protocal, so third party apps can use it The idea is to have a full transparent acces to motors/sensors or anything else you plug to the PU ports No, there is no way to implement an encoder to the upcoming motor due to the limited available space and limitations of Power Functions
  22. Speed modes will no longer be available due to a different battery infrastructure and there is no more need for it, since each PU motor's speed can be accurately controlled. Weight of the 3.0 should be simillar to the 2.0.
  23. As promised I made a short video about the mod: For those interested here is the link to the LDD file (please not, I'm using an upgarded version with some new eleements added): https://bricksafe.com/files/Zblj/42122-4x4-suspension-and-fake-engine-mod/42122 4x4%2C suspension and steering MOD.lxf I hope community here can use this as a base to do even more mods, functional and aesthetical to trully perfect the model.
