  1. If I designed my own Santa Fe: 7-8 Stud width Prototypical Accuracy to an EMD F-Series locomotive or an ALCO PA locomotive Lots of Power Functions power Custom chromed bricks used in the streamliner cars That's my wish list. I don't own the original so I don't know what original bricks are the priciest. I know a few pages back the discussion about a better F-Series style locomotive nose came up... but it was a heated argument.
  2. But is the radius measured from the outside or the inside curve on ME track? If it's from the inside curve then R72 won't fit, it will have at least six studs overhanging from the table's edge.
  3. I thought the same thing :) The first pictures were definitely Disneyland's Dream Suite. Disneyland has two hidden apartments, the Dream Suite above Pirates of the Caribbean, and Walt Disney's private apartment above the firehouse. Disney World has only one Dream Suite inside the castle, but it is larger than either Disneyland suite.
  4. Yes it still exists in Disneyland in Anaheim. It was only removed in Disney World; and the Florida version didn't have references to Who Framed Rodger Rabbit anyways!
  5. Wondering when we will get rumors of the Winter Train and leaked photos. With the recent leak and announcement of the Disney World Castle; I am curious when it will happen for the train. Problem is most of the Lego sets this year that are awesome are expensive to... It's a pricey year!
  6. So R56 is talking about studs... That makes a lot of sense now. I was thinking of a R56 as 56" and was thinking it had to be one huge curve...
  7. Assuming R56 means a radius of 56"; then it looks like most ME curves wouldn't fit on a 4' x 6' table. It could be used for a spur, but I doubt a whole curve of ME rails could fit on that table. Then again I might be wrong I haven't researched them to much. I'm just assuming R56 is 56" following similar model railroad parlance. For all I know it's 56 centimeters, something that could easily fit within that space (?)
  8. Good point. Furthermore almost every detail fits the "Fantasyland" theme: Beauty and the Beast - Resturaunts in Disney World Cinderella - Castle's Namesake in Disney World and Tokyo Sorcerer Mickey/Fantasia - Fantasmic in Disneyland and Disney Hollywood Studios Aladdin - Adventureland Disneyland and Disney World, Formerly a stage show in California Adventure Brave - ? I'm a little stuck here, I don't know where they are in the park at all! Princess and the Frog - Disneyland's New Orleans Square Sleeping Beauty - Disneyland's Castle Overall it seems it represents most of Disney's core lands. Only Fronteirland/Critter Country, Tomorrowland, Liberty Square, and Toontown aren't represented in the build (although the minifigure selection with .. er.. 'The Fab Four' represents Toontown in a way). Obvious why elements of Tomorrowland or Fronteirland weren't incorporated, it would clash with the theme. Pity we didn't get any Liberty Square stuff though; I really wanted to see Lego Abraham Lincoln and Lego Obama and use them for some off key political jokes
  9. I keep looking at how to integrate the G1 masks with G2 figures, but most G2 masks look smaller than a G1 mask; so G1 masks look a bit HUGE on a G2 figure.
  10. The TWA rocket is pretty classy!
  11. She has one in the Disney Parks fireworks shows.
  12. Not to mention Walt didn't really care for planning the Magic Kingdom Park; he had done the same thing already at Disneyland and didn't want to repeat himself. His original goal was for the property to house a model futuristic city called the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (EPCOT). The theme park was only supposed to be an addition to that city. Of course with Walt's death EPCOT was scrapped, and the theme park was built instead. The modern Epcot theme park pays homage to Walt's vision, but is nothing like his original plan. Also if anyone needs Cinderella I'm sure the minidoll version is cheap on Bricklink!
  13. Actually Tinkerbell is accurate to the real life building, as during Firework shows she "glides" from the tallest tower down to the ground. The fact there are stud shooters hidden in the tower makes me think Tinkerbell was included for a fireworks recreation. And yes despite the real life Cinderella theming of the building, she is rarely seen there in Disney World! She is normally in a "Princess Meet and Great" building around the corner behind the castle. Disney parks are kind of weird that way... Disneyland has it even worse,Sleeping Beauty is rarely seen at all in the park! In fact I think the most common characters to see near the Castle in real life is Mickey in a suit, Minnie in a red dress, Donald, and Daisy... Lego hit the nail right on the head with their figure selection!
  14. Also looking at the herald shields, none of them are the Disney family crest. That would have been a great Easter egg.
  15. Wait anyone else notice the stud shooters in the tower? Must be some fireworks play feature.
  16. Yes!!! I want this. Wish I could get a high res interior shot, but from what I see I am very satisfied. The front facade is very accurate, the build is huge and satisfying. I think I know what I want for Christmas!
  17. "Ford's Gunship"? That's what Harrison Ford used to pick up the missing people in Grand Teton wasn't it?
  18. I'm surprised Monsters University is low on a lot of the mention ed "best of Pixar lists." I dunno though, maybe the film resonated well with me when I first saw it thanks to it releasing at the end of my Freshman year of college.
  19. What language is that? Looks like Spanish but it isn't. Still it is similar enough I can translate it easy, "You know you are an AFOL when..." Maybe it's Portuguese?
  20. Maybe all Stormtroopers work sanitation or other menial tasks in-between combat training? I doubt Finn was the only janitor on Star Killer base, let alone the only stormtrooper in that role. I gather he was a rookie soldier, so it's possible he was doing sanitation since his training wasn't finished yet.
  21. Uh gosh a bit depressing for a comedy movie a bit much? I just figured the "Lego World" is an alternate dimension fueled by imagination (of both the Father [Man Upstairs] and his Son) and that his son's playtime was altering the alternate world; whilst his father's obsessive collectiveness and order fueled the opposing forces in the world. After the Father and Son reconciled peace came to the Lego World; that is until the Daughter came to play... Also I bet money that Lord Business is the AFOL Father's sigfig... Just imagine LordBuisness343 as a Eurobricks user talking about how he thought he saw a minifigure move in real life once!
  22. Wow! Wonderful! I never noticed the cargo hull was open on the bottom like it is in your model since it was never seen at that angle on film. That helps prove your attention detail.
  23. The recent Brickset "What's Missing?" for Star Wars: Rebels mentioned a cool set idea, the Star Commuter Shuttle. Although I'd prefer the Star Speeder 1000 or Star Speeder 3000 to be an official set, the smaller size and seating capacity of the Star Commuter would be great for an official set, and provide the figures needed for my own Star Tours MoC plans.
