I must agree here; I only just noticed from the pic, in my MOC, I didn't go overboard on size: 9 bricks height per floor plus a few plates as floorboards. You can even see that Al's hair dresser's first two floors are as high as mine are. Still, they're modulars. The design has to be really bad for us NOT to buy them from Lego. But I can imagine people having doubts about the direction in which this is going.

I wasn't in love either, when I first saw the pictures. I agree it's a very nice build. I also found it's really small, but I still like the way that breaks the skyline. Here's our copy dwarfed between Kristel's great Tan townhouse and my own first MOC (pics follow after I get the last bits from bricklink). One almost feels sorry for the poor DA Still, doesn't look too bad, though.

An absolutely brilliantly constructed building. It all fits very well together. Is there an interior? Looks like a court house, from the minifig by the entrance? My only problem (since you asked) are the sticks/spikes. I'm a bit taken aback by the amount of them. Maybe replace some of them with cones only? Keep clicking those bricks together! By the way, your brickshelf link leads to "This folder is not yet public".

Does this not belong in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds?

Mama mia! Now there's a station! Love all the details, inside and out. Will fit in nicely with the rest of your display. The attic is a great idea, and brilliantly executed. My favourite part is the room of the station master. You might want to fit a few of those figs with proper winter attire, though; they're freezing out there. Keep clicking those bricks together!

Love it! Very original facade, and the curved roof is inspired. Maybe the drawing needs a bit of work Keep clicking those bricks together!

Nice! And I agree with Kristel: This roof deserves a few storeys below it. Would love to see that modular house. Keep clicking those bricks together!

Official lego set made of what software build drawings?
Withacee replied to lster's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, there are some options; I don't know exactly what Lego uses, but most people here use * LDraw or Bricksmith for the digital model (or LDD, but it's a bit more difficult to create comprehensible pdf manuals from there) * LDView for rendering * LPub for the manual I remember Kristel posting a tutorial here, somewhere. I found it: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=83642 -
Absolutely! Yes, we thought about that, but I really do not want to "butcher" the manual. That is indeed the direction we might have to take. But we have mixed experiences with legibility on digital manuals. I'll give it a go.Thanks, El Garfio.

We build tomorrow; I shall stick to a single malt whisky To all of your good healths, gentle people!

I just opened my copy of DA, and I've got to get something off my chest. I am seriously p*ssed off by the fact that, out of nowhere, Lego decided to put the complete instructions in one book. Firstly, it now has a real "back", like a book, which makes it annoying to put flat on the table. Secondly, I always build modulars together with my wife. So the books being separated by floor (until now) made it very easy to sit at our large table and build away, one floor each. Next time we build it, we switch floors, so it's double the fun. I don't want to have to sit at a computer looking at a pdf. I am now seriously contemplating surfing to "missing pieces" on lego.com, claiming the manual is missing...

Even though it will probably be impossible to build in real bricks, due to parts availability problems, I love the design. The "guitar" sign needs a bit of work, since it's difficult to read, but a great MOC, nontheless. Keep clicking those bricks together!

Brilliant! And a nice job on balancing the blue leg on the pipe Stroke of genious!

So do I; looking at the picture PastVPresent posted, I love the way it 'breaks' the skyline. Personal taste, I suppose.

I shall avoid these pictures when I have a hang-over, but what a lovely design this is! Agree with most of the above, and a nice fireplace, too. Good luck!

Fantasic design of the building, lovely theme and very original. A bit taken aback by that front door, though. I am amazed it exists in a colour like that; probably from a Friends set Great entry, good luck, and keep clicking those bricks together!

I can't keep up with all these great entries; another lovely building, congratulations. Perfectly fitting the theme (except the yeti), lovely facade. Still love the snow blower. Good luck in the contest, and keep clicking those bricks together!

An excellent entry! Love the attention to detail. In my opinion, it does not fit in perfectly with the WV theme, because everything is tiled, but that's personal taste, and it definitely looks brilliant, also from the back! And that tree's gorgious. Good luck, and keep clicking those bricks together.

Great entry! I particularly love the yarn subset, the stove and the barn interior in general. It all fits, and the theme is original. Detail: Maybe a bit more colour variation on the facade? Keep clicking those bricks together!

I love it; a great and original theme. The sand green works well, too. It would also be interesting to see it with transparent clear windows, in stead of transparent blue.
