  1. Bugger! Now I'm going to have to do my winter village all over again. Great work, sdrnet! Keep putting those bricks together!
  2. Well, I'm not American, but I could have done without the (unintended?) reference to 9/11. Lego should not be about politics or religion, in my opinion. I like the ground floor and the roof, though. Keep clicking those bricks together.
  3. Absolutely brilliant! It has a great feel to it. On a personal note: Maybe it would look even beter if the white bars on the sliding doors were transparent or transparent light blue?
  4. Also one we bricklinked together, because we missed it. This is one of our favourite modulars ever from TLC.
  5. Well, Market Street was one of the first three we missed, and it was our least favourite building before we built it. (Yes, WE, because I am in the very lucky circumstance that my wife is a fanatic AFOL as well! It's heaven, I tell you... In sickness, in health, and in Lego crises... ) Both of us are jumping up and down like kids in a candy store whenever a new bricklink delivery arrives. Literally! But I digress... We bricklinked this one together, and enjoyed it very much in the end. We basically did it to complete the modular series. It's a very nice building, considering its age.
  6. Typorionium in Linkum (aka linky no worky )This better? http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=98013
  7. Hey JopieK, Happened to order one a few days ago. It's from Friends set Sunshine Harvest (41026-1). Part number is 3068bpb818 in Bricklink. It's no sticker, by the way, but a preprinted tile.
  8. We missed this one as well, and decided to "bricklink" it together as opposed to buying it on eBay for 1000-odd Euros. Except for the white balcony tubes, we managed to get all parts (almost all new) for less than 200 Euros. Even got the cabbage head hair! Took a while, though
  9. The combination of black, light bluish gray and dark green works well together in the facade, also with the brownish shop front. Love the details. Keep putting those bricks together!
  10. What a great idea! It looks very nice. I love the fact that you kept the house quite basic, but with nice details, like the equipment in front of the window, and the desk with the telephone. I was wondering how the greenhouses would look with asymmetrical roofs. The walls a bit higher, and the roof shaped like the side of a cheese slope, if you understand what I mean. The long side at a 30 degree angle with these long aqua glass plates, and the short side vertical or at a 60 degree angle. I'm inspired. Keep putting those bricks together!
  11. Well, it's not impossible, but very unlikely, having 8 bricks missing. Are you sure the cat didn't flick them under the refrigerator? I've never had any missing pieces with any Lego set I bought. And I have a lot of them, including almost all modulars. There is a service at the Lego site, where you can order missing pieces from a set at no cost. Build the model first, though. https://service.lego.com/nl-nl/replacementparts Type in your age and country and choose "My new set has a missing piece".
  12. I like it a lot, modelmaker. The facade is cool and so is the interior. Even the slightly clashing combination of the aqua windows with the red sign seems to work, in an odd way @eurotrash It should be this part, but upside down: http://www.bricklink...16903&colorID=3
  13. I understand why a lot of people don't, and fair play to them. I DO always try to include interiors in my Modulars and MOC's, for a few reasons: 1. It completes the building and gives it a purpose 2. On display, I love it when one can see nice details through the windows, for instance in a nice street scene, with plants, curtains, people peeking out, furnished balconies with people on them, and so on (that's why I also 'populate' the streets with pedestrians, cyclists, cars, ice cream and hot dog stands and the likes 3. I know it's there when I see the building, even if I don't see the interior; that's enough for me
  14. Cheers Jim, for the review. I like this set a lot; it's so much better than the Beetle, which had far too many studs showing on the body work for my liking. Smaller or not, I really like this one. I agree the angles are a bit off compared to the original, but it's definitely a must-buy for me.
  15. I'm a purist, so I keep the Lego modulars intact. I disassemble and store them if necessary, until needed again, but I would never use the parts for another project. I buy new parts for those. We have all of the Lego modulars except Corner Cafe, plus around a dozen MOC modulars. We like to keep them together. But it's all a question of preference. I will not hold it against you if you destroy them
  16. I'll experiment about a bit; maybe with a combo of Tan/Dark read or Tan/Dark tan. We'll see.
  17. Great stuff, as usual. I like the interior very much. I'll have the griled brick, thanks! Nice touch.
  18. Well, after regaining consciousness... Congrats on a finished modular! And a nice one and all! Love it when the interior is visible from the outside; just add enough windows Great design, with the angled walls (my favourite part). Easy to adjust to fit a modular street as well. Would it be an idea to replace the profile bricks with masonry bricks? Mere details... Keep putting those bricks together!
  19. I understand, Yohaa. I work in LDD a lot too, and if there is no direct intention to build it in real bricks, one tends to ignore the parts availability. I just thought it was a pity, because we would have loved to build it. And as I said earlier, I agree, the dark green is great! Thanks again, for a great idea; we might redesign it a bit for a future build. There used to be a similar kiosk in the same colour in Amsterdam.
  20. LOL! Love it. Especially if one knows who it's supposed to depict. Keep putting those bricks together! PS Enlightnened and eclectic use of parts!
  21. Hey Dignow, Wow, you've posted so much over the last few days, I don't know where to start. You have put up a brilliant display with Godwins Hollow. Moveing it must have been quite an operation. This art gallery especially cought my eye. It's not over-complicated, but has all it needs, and some great and original details. Love it! (and a lot of your other creations). Hope to see more. Keep putting those bricks together!
  22. Well, it truely is a great design, so I too wanted to see it in bricks.I actually ran it through my own "lxf-to-wantedlist" conversion programme, to see if I could buy the parts, but this design proves to be just about unbuildable. Loads of parts in colours that are in fact unobtainable. Pity, because I love the dark green. But, again, as a design, It's brilliant. Keep clicking those bricks together, Yooha!
  23. Hey Rodion, As a fellow dutchie, I welcome you to this site. I am by no means a veteran here, but I expect you'll like it at these forums. Hope to see some of your work!
  24. I hate hummers, just as I hate any big car, but I definitely respect the effort you put into these builds. Well done.
  25. Nice one! I have to congratulate you on that. It took us months (and over 200 Euros) to Bricklink GG together. After which my wife (also afol) and myself made a solemn pledge: "Thou shalt never not buy a newly released modular again".
