  1. We have one of all modulars, except the first three (Market place, Green grocers and Corner cafe), which were discontinued by the time we started; we have "bricklinked" these three together by now. We don't buy anything for brick inventory, so we have no use for extra copies.
  2. No problems here, momentarily. I've experienced the error 62bricks mentioned in the past. It would have been nice if BL displayed a "We're currently doing maintenance" message instead of a server error.
  3. Brilliant! I have been waiting for this review for a long time Cheers for all the effort that has been put into this.
  4. Nice review! We built this as well, and we loved it, especially the facades. Added advantage of this set is that, since I always build Lego sets together with my wife, one can build the pet shop, and the other can build the town house. And next time, we can switch around!
  5. I'm not into the LOTR theme at all, but I do agree this theme needs something to complete it. It feels sort of unfinished. So, yes, I would sign up for this.
  6. Hey ocifant, welcome back from the dark ages. I recognise your problem. We combine as many Bricklink orders as we can, and only order from our own country (we're lucky to live in the Netherlands, which has a great Lego community on BrickLink). This minimises postage. Mind you, we mainly do modular houses, and we combine at least two or three houses on multiple wanted lists, so we have quite large orders to begin with. I would say our average order on Bricklink is around 60 Euros.
  7. We bought a number of them; our absolute favourite was their Architect's firm. A joy to build, brilliantly designed, inside and out, and all parts pretty well available at Bricklink. Cost us about 200 Euros in total (all new parts).
  8. Well, I'm not into Chima (that's personal taste), but this building is absolutely lovely. Great colour combinations (always loved the cool yellow), and my favourite part is the building "expanding" between the ground floor and the first floor. Nice part usage on the ornaments as well. Wonderful build. Keep clicking those bricks together, cimddwc!
  9. Well, that's amazing. What an original take on a build. Looks very professional. I still would have preffered the transparent light blue bottom of the bottle to be transparent red ( I mean, who drinks water, anyway?), but that's not your fault
  10. Great build! I love the architectural line of approach of your designs. Like the foliage, too. Creative design on the flower arrangements. Keep clicking those bricks together.
  11. Thanks for the link, mapimi. Very nice station; I love the atmosphere of it. Village-y, and truely "old school" Lego. Easy to adapt by changing a few basic colours, too. I love it!
  12. Wow, I stand astounded! I am not very active in the History forum, but what a lovely atmosphere you have created here. Great detail, and I love the different levels. And without cheese, too!
  13. Am I the only one not seeing anything? The link does not work either
  14. Although video can add to a review sometimes, I really prefer some nice hires images and some informative accompanying text.
  15. I think you need at least 10 posts to be able to get these privileges.Well, despite all negative comments, I love this set. It fits in perfectly with the rest of the winter village, and I'm buying it. No discussion.

    MOC cart

Nice one! Really captures the essence of a go-cart. Only possible improvenemt I can see is lowering the seat by a few plates, if possible. In a go-cart, one really sits very close to the asphalt. Keep putting those bricks together!
  17. I agree! We make a sport of getting the bricks needed for as little money as possible. We usually order new, but (being in The Netherlands) always from Dutch sellers, and in orders as large as possible; that saves on postage cost in a big way!
  18. Yeah, there's always room for a bit of tweaking Nice one. Keep putting those bricks together!
  19. Well, you people are making this quite difficult. 6: 8 21: 6 31: 3 39: 2 55: 1
  20. I love this design; the fact that it's too small for minifig scale and too large for micro makes it pretty much stand on its own, though. It can't really be fitted in a Modular town, city or Micropolis. Very creative, though! Keep putting those bricks together!
  21. Love the details on this one! Great work, magsergey. Keep putting those bricks together.
  22. Well, looks like we all have our personal preferences I use minigifs to populate my town mainly, so I'll definitely skip Genie girl, Dino warrior and prospecter. The rest can be used either on the street or in a house/museum/amusement park. And the wizard and the princess are just too cool not to buy. Love this series. Can't believe they finally gave us pizza! I already oprdered the mopeds for them.
  23. That's some very clever mechanics; and I love the looks of it, too! Keep putting those bricks together!
  24. Ghehe! That's brilliant! Keep clicking those bricks together!
  25. Well, it was a personal observation, and by no means to be taken as criticism. It's a great build, for which stef2280 is te be commended. It's the first thing that came to mind (what is the first thing one thinks of when one sees a NY scyscraper with a gaping burning hole in it?) I can just imagine people taking offence, is all. TLG have a policy to steer clear of politics and religion, and so do I (when designing Lego); but to each his own, and I respect other opinions, too. Keep building!
