Lovely! Never thought that colour combination would work, but it really does. I also really like the back wall angles and the passover to the second floor in the back, and the interior. Keep clicking those bricks together!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Withacee replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
If this is actually the case, I fully agree! -
My member title was just changed to "12 Goats and We're Away!" Please don't get any funny ideas, and note that this is taken way, way out of context! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=112720&st=50#entry2338915

No idea who changed my Member Title since my last comment, but I love it.

Yay, we get a yellow bicycle! These have been terribly difficult to come by. Now all we need is a set with twelve goats, and we're away!

I love this design; it's small, clean, and it will nicely break the skyline of a city. Fits right in with the rest of the modulars. Perhaps something of an ornament in stead of the studs above the windows on the first floor?
-
Love it; nice, clean colour scheme, good use of parts and building technique, and I like the fact that the house is in "lighthouse" colours. Keep clicking those bricks together!

Bonjour Flikebruck, Good to see you're back after your dark ages. Nice setup you have; looking forward to seeing more as the project progresses. Keep clicking those bricks together!

Somehow, I missed this one; glad to bump it up. It looks great! A very original take on a modular; love the sign and the interior. Keep clicking those bricks together!

I would love to see some more pictures of this; it's great! Original, and it still fits in a row of other modulars. Well, minus the dinosaurs Keep clicking those bricks together!

Oops, forgot to comment on this! Shame on me. It's a typical Kristel build; lovely façade and colours, fits in brilliantly in almost any street. Plenty of room for a custom interior, too! Nice...

Yes, I love the idea of this; that's a great start. The ground floor façade look very nice. I shall look forward to seeing more of this, hopefully including an interior. Keep clicking those bricks together!

Another brilliant creation. Love the general design, the roof and the colour combinations of the walls. Nitpickingly spoken: since your street (best one I've ever seen, by the way, I've followed its development) looks to be typical of an Amsterdam "centre of town" street, the building looks ever so lightly out of place. But then again, Dutch cities are known for that. Keep clicking those bricks together (by all means, please do).

I would agree to that.I will never give this set a bad review, because I really like it, it's a brilliant set in my opinion. I'm just disappointed, because I more or less expected a brand new set. That's life. Very true, but it would still be nice if there had been more sets to collect in the first place, now, wouldn't it?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Withacee replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
There's actually a MOC that comes close to this:http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=72203 -
As an extra release to a new building, this would have been great. I'm done with this topic now, I'm depressed. It feels like in the old days, when one's favourite artist brought out a new album with 22 songs one already owns, plus one new one... Well, I'm not going to cave in this time. *crosses arms, sulking* All fine and dandy, but I need my yearly fix, Commander Turtle, and this is not the real deal! It's powdered grapes.
-
PS This really makes me dread the next modular...
-
Hey, they made a complete mirror image of the building by the looks of it, what more does one want?In all seriousness -and I am genuinely happy for anyone who has missed the previous one- if this is the real deal, this is quite outrageous.
-
To be fair, they did change a few colours, and the 2x2 round plates are now toilet seats...
-
Hmm, I had no idea it was April fools day today...

You used brickshelf. Brickshelf is down on a very regular basis, which means that sometimes the images are not visible in your topic at Eurobricks here. Coming back a bit later usually helps (it's fine at the moment). Flickr is a better option.

I couldn't agree more, aesthetics-wise. I agree it's smaller than the rest, but, as I stated before, I like the liveliness it creates in the "skyline".For most people the complaints are more of a a price thing. It feels like one gets less building for the same money. Which is fair enough, but personally, I don't mind. And for the rest, it's all about the everlasting discussion about interior versus exterior. Part counts vary only slightly, but PR and DO have less bricks in the exterior and more in the interior. And yes, interiors usually result in smaller parts, so the total weight of the parts will be less on PR and DO. All a matter of personal taste. I just go with the flow. As long as I get my shot of new Lego sets on a regular basis, I'm fine. And if not, I'm going to have to go and step on some kid's hamster.

Cheers for taking the time to put together this review, Whitefang. Considering the year of release of this set, I love it. Would still fit in nicely in any city.
