  1. So far, so good! It's difficult to get detail and personality to come through with such a small sculpt, but I think you've done a helluva job. Should you happen to cast a few spares, I'd be happy to purchase one.
  2. Oh my...that's a beautiful build. The proportions are so realistic it's incredible. The design is very clean and not cluttered. Thanks for posting!
  3. Say...that MOC bootleg Colossus looks pretty good! It looks to resemble the uniform that the Colossus in my avatar is wearing. Glad I picked up that set for the Human Torch. Looks like the rest is going to be used for this Colossus. Thanks for posting!
  4. Excellent! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
  5. Congratulations on rediscovering your set! Also, thanks for the clean up tips. After finding an old box of my Lego in my parents' basement, those tips are gonna come in handy!
  6. She's Maria, featured in the 1927 movie Metropolis. She also provided the inspiration for C-3PO's design.
  7. Having a modular-style train station for my Midnight Express would be a blessing. My only concern would be whether Lego would try to include a train and track along with it. Thus leading to a higher price tag and a train and more track that I don't need. But, man, a Victorian-era train station...(drool). As far an an American Girl modular goes, my daughter could use a set to beef up the Friends mall! A doll store for mini dolls! I kid, I kid!
  8. I need a couple of the flaming hair pieces! My Firestorm custom is desperate for one!
  9. I had no interest whatsoever in the Pizza Guy til I picked up the Town Square set that includes a pizza joint. Now I'm beginning to see its appeal.
  10. That Aston Martin is amazing. Beautiful silhouette, and it still fits a minifig!
  11. I'm really glad Lego produced the RI. The booklet included with the set was informative, and helped my daughter see science professions from a different POV. My daughter's big thing is to become a marine biologist. Up to this point, all she knew about marine biology was what she had seen in the Dolphin Tale flicks and Discovery Channels Shark Week. So, we researched marine biologist careers to get a better understanding. Then, using the wetsuit gal from the Mixer, dolphins from the Friends cruiser, flippers from the Friends lifeguard station, we started building a little vignette of our own. Enjoying quality time with my daughter, learning together, having fun with Lego. Probably some of the best $$ I spent on a Lego set.
  12. They offered me a flat $25 worth of VIP points when I purchased my busted up TH. Free Lego is a beautiful thing.
  13. I think Ultron could do with a regular minifig size AND hand a brick built "upgrade" While I don't think a Bigfig size is necessary, something to show Ultron's metamorphosis for the finale would be cool. However, not a fan of incorporating Woody's extremities to do this.
  14. Please don't give them any ideas.
  15. 1) Steer horns? Check. 2) Wooden barrel exhaust pipes? Check. 3) Wood paneling out the wazoo? Check. 4) Pistol grip handlebars? Check. Looks like everything necessary for an awesome Old West super cycle!
  16. Beautiful custom. Can't wait to see Vince.
  17. I'd like a White Tiger minifig! Finish the team already.
  18. Exactly. This list is too homogenous.
  19. Your steampunk stuff is amazing! I was floored by your minifig designs, and I'm glad to finally see them "in action"!
  20. The instructions for the Junior sets are easier for little ones to follow. My 4 yo had no probs with the Spidey, Batman, and Turtles sets. Have fun!
  21. The Spooky Girl is based on a Japanese ghost called an onryu. In the Lego CMF online mmorpg, the name of one of her special attacks contains the word "onryu".
  22. Man, what CAN'T you build? Looking at your Flickr pics, there's the EM50 from "Stripes", Little Nellie from "You Only Live Twice", and so much more! I gotta say, as if the builds themselves weren't spectacular already, you go and wire them with lighting. How you loaded lights and so much detail into the EM50 and still kept it to scale is mindboggling. Sgt. Hulka would be proud. BTW, is that the Stargate from Stargate-SG1 on the right side of the pic? I can see only the ramp and soldiers from this angle, but if so, nice detail!
  23. This is your first, huh? Damn fine work!
  24. Some goofball on the brick blogger.com just posted that GE is "considered" retired. What the hell is that? Just another unverified rumor to get people nervous or what? Personally, I don't care what gets the axe next since I'm up to date on my modulars. But for those in need of reliable info as to what gets cancelled next, I feel for ya. Good luck, fellow builders!
