Aw, man! I missed it!

I love what LegoSjaak has done with the DO. It's too bad it takes 2 DO sets to make this modular worthwhile.

So, ACE, are you just randomly PM'ing members for their CMF codes so you can turn around and sell 'em for $7 each or what? Just curious...

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Colossus replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Sure, the museum would be in the same range as the Town Hall in regards to size, piece count, price, but the museum has so much more to offer compared to Town Hall. Architecture, vignettes, story...and we all know how modulars have to tell a story now. Night at the Museum, anyone? -
What environment should LEGO City Police patrol next?

Lego keeps putting out all these beach sets, whether it's Friends, Creator, whatever. I say we need...nay, demand...a police force meting justice as only beach police can. -
No lightbox, but hey....A for effort! Happy New Year to you, too!

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

Man, nobody likes a mini-mod. -
Well, if Lego was putting out obscure, yet desirable minifigures in a foreign market that I didn't have easy access to, I'd feel a bit perturbed as well.

Oh my...Lightning Lad? I'm in awe. Maybe there's hope for Karate Kid, Saturn Girl, Wildfire, et.al!

How does the Architecture line relate to Creator modulars? They're 2 entirely different themes. It's not like, "Wow. The downsizing trend for modulars is rather disappointing. I think I'll start picking up Architecture sets." If anything, modulars are becoming glorified City sets.

Someone posts that their cousin's best friend's roommate's brother says Booster Gold and Canary are SDCC exclusives, and it's taken as gospel. Last week, it was for sure Reverse Flash. Honestly...

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Colossus replied to KingPixels's topic in Community
Regarding that Dargo leaflet, I'll believe it when I see it. Hell, that Colossus is my avatar! -
I'm also pretty excited for these new sets! My kids and I really didn't connect with the Rebooted sets and cartoon, but Episode 35 and the sets for this current theme both look promising. Plus, there's another dragon. Always room for another dragon!

TLG is on top of the world right now. They can afford to get greedy.

Woohooo! 'Bout time! -
Not much intrigued by Bat-sets, but another Joker themed set sounds fantastic! My son and I got a lot of mileage out of the last one.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Colossus replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm really undecided about the Avengers sets. I really like the new quinjet design, and Avengers Tower looks like a fun build that will keep my son occupied with play features. But, that brick built Hulkbuster IM looks like a mess. Glad I went with the knockoff based on the Hulkbuster featured in the Lego Marvel Superheroes game. I usually buy the sets more for the minifigs than the builds, and quite a few are rehashes. And I really can't abide that pink Vision. Thankfully, there are custom versions of Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Vision based on the comic versions. But that's just me. I don't care for the movie hero costumes. What gets me is the continued lack of leg printing STILL. I don't get it. Star Wars minifigs get too much detail that it takes away from the simplicity of its design. Yet, superhero designs look so halfassed. -
Do you project people in your life into LEGO minfigures?
Colossus replied to legoman19892's topic in Community
I made minifigs of my son and daughter so they would have something personalized for their builds. My son used the police officer minifig from series 11 (I think) as a base for my late father, a retired police officer. The black hairpiece has a part on the left like my dad's and the head has a smirk on it like my dad usually wore in his pics. It's pretty cute.- 9 replies

Brilliant build. I think it captures the eerie mood of that scene quite well!

[MOC] STEAMarine, a pirate ship gone underwater without sinking...
Colossus replied to marcosbessa's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Man, Marcos, I wish Lego would let you design a steampunk line of vehicles and minifigures. People that see the collection of Lego sets in my home ALWAYS comment on the visual appeal of The Sea Cow. I wish I had other steampunk sets to display along side it . (hint, hint) Thanks for sharing pics of this steamarine. I'm a sucker for intricate greebling. -

I can't wait to get my mitts on this Rhino and the Juggernaut bigfigs. Seeing how the jackasses at Disney are putting a stranglehold on any X-Men merchandise, I gotta get it where I can.
