Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Colossus replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I'd love to see a boardwalk environment like Coney Island, complete with features like a basic rollercoaster, arcade, fun house, etc. I have the Creator Seaside house, my daughter has the Friends beach house, and it'd be nice to have another set for a beach theme. Of course, not really an idea for a modular. Just wanted to throw in a suggestion for the wish list since the only new topic, the DO, has its own thread now. -
Hi! I meant I favor the Yellowjacket minifigure. It's a smart design.

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?

I dunno...Juggernaut looks to have red boots, but I'm using my phone with a small display to view pics. -
Nice work! I'm very partial to Yellowjacket.

Damn...if you pull off a Lego Gran Torino, I'd love to see it. Please post pics! -

The Palace Cinema comes with a limo. Could you imagine the Delta house with a Deathmobile? Ramming speed! -
I couldn't have said it better myself.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion

Until they use it for a FEMALE minotaur for series 14! -
That's funny...my kids play with my modulars more than I do, and they don't need a storyline to go with them. One of the things I enjoy about my kids playing with Lego is watching them express their creativity through their builds. My 4 year old son has a T rex head sticking out of a wall in the Town Hall like it's been stuffed and mounted. Either that, or the dino-hunter minifig has been up to her usual shenanigans.

REVIEW: 71008 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13
Colossus replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the review! I love seeing the parts inventory for each minifig. That way, I can anticipate what parts from which minifigs I can put towards customizing.- 104 replies

Why does everything have to have a story and be so juvenile, though? Yes, Lego is a toy. But I'm tired of that line being thrown around whenever modulars are discussed. Heaven forbid Lego cater something more towards AFOLs.

Really? Listen up, everyone! This is a discussion forum, but only as long as you're opinion stays in line with the masses. Brick on. -

Great use of the Groot minimate! I'm using a Colossus one myself since it's easy to pull off a Fastball Special with the articulation. -
Man, seeing the Lloyd DX version has me nostalgic for all my old dragon sets, which have since been dismantled. I guess I found my Christmas project: rebuild dragons

Damn. That's a sweet Mech. It looks substantial, and there's great detail in that cannon arm.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Colossus replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I wonder how well a Thor set consisting of The Warriors Three would sell. On one hand, they are kinda obscure, albeit very cool, characters. So were the GOTG characters. Sounds like their minifigures are rather popular, especially Rocket. Collectors are going ape$hit for that polybag. And deservedly so. It's a great minifig. I think a Thor 2 set based on one of the battle scenes would sell pretty well because of the play factor. An Asgardian throne room? I'm a fan of all things Marvel, and the only reason I'd buy that set would be for the minifigures. While I'm thinking about it, I don't get the appeal for superhero minifigs in plain clothes. I mean, you can bullseye a Captain America minifig from 1000 yards, and you KNOW that's Cap. But Steve Rogers? It's a fleshie minifig with blond hair. Could be anybody. I could whip up one with pieces from my parts bin. -

I used Burns' minifig for Prof. X. -
See, when a mommy 1x1 tile and a daddy 1x1 stud love each other very much, they "hug" in a special way and create something new and unique.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Intriguing discussion about what to do with modulars. I have them kinda scattered around the house. Some I consider seasonal, such as my Christmas-ized Emporium with the Winter Village Cottage, so they are in the main play space for the kids presently. While I realize the Haunted House is not a true modular, my kids thought it did a fine job as a stand-in for the creepy house at the end or the street for Halloween. The PC I usually have out in the summer for our blockbuster movie releases. The Mixer, while not a modular at all, is a no-brainer for Summertime display. Moving the modulars and whatnot in and out of circulation keeps the playability fresh. Your mileage may vary. -
Beautiful buggy! You did a helluva job on that frame. It looks delicate, though. But, nothing a little Kragle couldn't fix.

I really miss the trans-yellow windscreens of Classic Space. I'm almost tempted to score a couple of Benny's @sS for parts since they're on sale at Walmart.
