Lego's response looks like a standard rejection letter. I imagine with all the sets submitted and subsequently rejected, not everyone gets an individualized response. But, as someone already posted, Hasblo has the Star Trek toy license, soooo...

Intriguing set. I see the Prohibition theme being expressed, but that cookie room's going the way of the dodo. Epic Squaresville. Yeah yeah, it's a toy. I see a brick built distillery in my future. Glad i invested in a few Lego whiskey bottles over the summer. Also, I would have liked to have seen a more mature color palette being used. When one blows $160 on a modular, it makes customization kind of an expensive pain in the @ss. But don't get me wrong, i love the set as a whole, tho. The architecture is something new. This set of buildings will break up all the storefront facade running down my Lego street. I like the details in the poolhall and the private dick's joint. The ceiling fan and the wall safe are nice touches! Now to get cracking on a brick built bombshell femme fatale for January.

Today, a TRU in Northeast Ohio had 5 Rockets left on a peg and an empty peg on each side. $4.99 a pop. -
Whoa! Why are Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow fighting T-rex? What? Just wanted to throw my hat into the "start a cheesy rumor" ring and try it on fer size. Oddly unsatisfying... Carry on.

Beautiful message conveyed through this little vignette. Thanks for posting.

Genius build! I'm so ecstatic that this modular isn't simply a build that has some musical instruments thrown in and called a "music store". The keyboard tiles on the walk, the treble clef, the steps made to look like bars...you KNOW this is set is all about music. It's beautiful. I'd buy it in an instant.

Seeing how Lego Batman rules the roost, it makes sense that Batzarro could be the main antagonist in the Lego DVD. I figure that's why his minifigure is included for the exclusive. I love it.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Colossus replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I think the concept of sets "competing" through the review process has passed. I get the impression from the IDEAS team that if they think the set will sell, they'll make it. This latest review resulted in the Bird set and The Big Bang Theory, AND the team is also considering one of the 2 Dr. Who sets from this review period as well. Personally, I'd gladly take the Nat. History museum as it. While it's not colorful compared to other modulars, I think the architecture makes one helluva statement. Now, to get that Paris Opera House to 10,000 votes and on the store shelves! -

Yay. More wish lists for a set not even out of IDEAS review stage. So much for rumours/news. Laters. -

Any news on the Dareth polybag, such as release date or who's carrying it? I haven't seen anything since the pic was released.

You're on the right track feeling for the teddy bear, but it's a small accessory and sometimes difficult to discern from the other pieces parts. Spooky Girl's hair is pretty soft, and easier to feel for.- 1,109 replies

Hell, I'm not dropping $4 on a minifig if I can't cop a feel on the bag... Waitaminnit. (ahem) I'm not spending my hard-earned $$ on a minifig without first ascertaining the contents of the packet through thorough palpation of said packet.- 1,109 replies

Good Lord. Stan Lee farts n everyone wants a movie set based on it. -
Honestly, I was so tired of Lego Batman. Luckily, DC relaxed and let Lego make some minifigs not beginning with the name "Bat". That being said, I'd love a Wayne Manor set. It's such an iconic setting in the DCU, and if done properly, kids would like it just as much as adults. My 4 year old son plays with my modulars more than his vehicle sets. Now, imagine if that generic townhouse was the famous Wayne Manor, home to the greatest detective in the world. Sure, I'd love an X-Mansion even MORE! But it seems Marvel Lego is treating The X-Men and FF like DC used to treat all their non-Bat characters. I see the Wayne Manor set as maybe a two-piece set like Jabba's Palace/Rancor Pit. Hell, make it compatible with the Batcave set we got a couple years ago, too. That way, parents aren't roped into $200 of Batman Lego for their kids, but have the option available. IF Lego made a Wayne Manor, what features should be included? I think the fireman pole access hidden behind the book case is a must! I know it was kinda addressed with the last Batcave that included the red phone and the elevator that "transformed" super-sweet Bruce Wayne into mild-mannered Batman, but it ain't the same.
