  1. I remember the old boxes, you could lift the lid and admire the parts. I stored my lego in one of the trays for a few years but lego need to make a profit so it's probably a cost decision to make a straight forward box. I suppose a cardboard tray, with the plastic parts bags in, would not hurt though. H
  2. I get what they are trying to do but somehow it doesn't captivate me like other large models we've heard of and seen. H
  3. I would like to see a building made of technic, maybe a fire station. i'm curious to see what anyone can come up with. H
  4. Hi, I like it as it is. I can see the titles and take my pick if I want to comment. If someone wants a general chat or a conversation then why not use that in the title. Some members are just curious about their fellow technic builders. If I want to search for something I do use google knowing full well it will find me a link to eurobricks anyway. Moderators are doing a good job. I just wish I had more time to build! H
  5. All colours have their place in technic and indeed the world but I would like to see more blue included in technic sets. I have a good mix of colours now, black, grey, red and yellow (note to me: need more yellow) but am lacking the same parts in blue. That new skip truck has blue parts? I am corrected, it is the container truck. It has a good combination of colours I particularly like the blue panels. I might buy one. H
  6. A motorcycle wheel should do the trick, infact I would make all three wheels motorcycle wheels. To me it looks like your main problem will be keeping the outside front wheel in contact with the ground during the leaning/turning process. That's a tricky one but i'm sure it can be acheived. H
  7. Hi, I don't get the steering. Can you post better images from different angles. It might need a narrower rear tyre. I see what you're trying to acheive though (just googled iroad concept). H
  8. Looks great. I can see you've used the smaller 8 x 4 battery pack which will improve speed and lesson weight. is it the AAA or the rechargeable? it will defo run faster. I look forward to the video. H
  9. Great truck and trailer! Well planned and executed. That's one for the display cabinet for the collectors amongst us. Lego should produce it as a special. H
  10. Evening, I just need to look at the empty boxes behind me and I can see I bought: 42006, 9394, 42001, 42002 and 42005. It all started with 42002. Hopefully the service truck or some other bigger set for christmas. H
  11. Good job. it's neat and compact and I like the mini figure, surely that's one for lego to build. H
  12. Good competition. Well done to all the entrants and congratulations to the prize winners, enjoy your lego and we will see you on the next one. Thanks to you Jim for setting it up. H
  13. If they wanted a "lego player" then I would be applying. I would love nothing more than to work with lego but as others have said it's becoming more of a pipe dream. If I knew twenty years ago what I know now I would have headed in the lego direction. no matter. Good luck to anyone who applies. H
  14. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=Trial%20Trucks&stype=f&n=6 See above link to Brickshelf. Or you can always google "lego technic trial trucks" etc. H
  15. 8258 is a great model and would make a good re-introduction to technic. I still dream about it. H
  16. Yum yum! Looks good. H
  17. Welcome to Eurobricks Gee. Get yourself a nice mid range set, 9394, 9395, 42005 is a good set as is 42006. Not too complicated with a good selection of parts to get used to. They are recent and still around at their normal prices (for now). I'm also adapting to the studless after neglecting my lego for years due to work, studying and an attempt at growing up. I am still working and learning but i've given up on the growing up bit. H
  18. The rear looks fantastic. It has the "slat" effect as in the real lambo. Good re-work. H
  19. Good buggy. I love that spoiler. H
  20. It's based on the exoskeleton. I'm sure the american defence people will be working on it. I too have that technic ideas book, i'm sure that idea can be converted to a loader. Google exoskeleton and you will see plenty of images. H
  21. It does look a bit flimsy to me. It needs more support. H I agree with this. H
  22. I know what you mean. The size surprised me too, they are worth every penny. H
  23. What a difference. The car is a lot quicker, I actually struggle to control it as the house was not built for racing technic lego cars. I'm crashing again and flipping the car over such is the speed and weight difference. I will post some more pics asap and try a video, maybe over the weekend. I can highly recommend the AAA box. It's ideal for this sort of model. H
