  1. Nice photo's. Some great looking models. What's the eight wheeler with the out riggers? That's a nice rugged technic moc. H
  2. Hi, I don't own any of those sets as they are out of my price range for the time being. I've bought the smaller sets, I've got 42005 in it's box next to me at the moment. I tend to buy mid range sets and find all the parts of use. I've just built a small RC buggy and have re-built it three times and each time i've discovered a better way of building it using different parts. For me, all parts are useful no matter what the set. If I need a specific part or more of a part I order them online, do without or find another solution (depending on funds). H
  3. I would expect it to be a combination of physical size, piece count and it's complexity. For example, we could build a big crane with few parts and minimal functions. Then we could build a physically smaller crane with steering, a nice extendable boom arm, engine and a motorised turntable all with IR control. Which is the bigger set? H
  4. I like the 3rd model the best. It's a nice truck. H
  5. Excellent. Some interesting techniques. what's the suspension like? H
  6. Good entry. Just a shame the jet ski won't float. Nice colour scheme, like the yellow on the jet ski. H
  7. I don't see them on the Uk lego shop website. If there are more to be released it would be interesting to know where and when. If I knew for definate I would start saving. I was in the store today spending my birthday money and I have to say the service truck looks very nice in the flesh. H
  8. If they are still to release more then that is good news. fingers crossed there are more. H
  9. Where are those wheels from? Nice model by the way. H
  10. I love that chassis. I must work on one. H
  11. I'm going to get 42005 on this occasion. It has some good parts and will provide much enjoyment and experimentation. Funds will be lower than expected this time around, which is much better than last year. However, christmas is just around the corner and another payday commeth. Sorted. H And an 88000 battery pack which is desperately required. H
  12. Looking good so far. H PS: Servo for steering (lol)
  13. You are certainly on a mission with this. I look forward to seeing the completed model in operation. H
  14. I like the story element. A good entry. H
  15. I see. Spaceships. I like your idea of a supercar spring. H
  16. Parts, parts, parts and the learning of building a large car are the attractions of 42000. The attraction of 42008 is also parts and the functions. Or I could just order the parts I require from lego (ie: wishbone suspension). Hmmmm, choices choices. H
  17. A good chassis but you've got to use a servo now they're available. I must get one of those battery boxes. H
  18. I've never built a ship or boat with my lego but I like your idea. Why do lego builders build ships in september? H
  19. I'm sure there will be a youtube video demonstrating everything you need to know about testing and removing transistors. You will more than likely need a small workshop vice or a set of helpiing hands and all the usual soldering kit, if you don't have them already. Why not use this faulty one for experimenting and buy a new one. H
  20. As long as it's connected correctly you can use it with the power functions remote (as used in the crawler) and I would expect it to work with everything else. H
  21. Wow! That's very clever and they look great. They should be mass produced and sold. H
  22. I can also recommend a servo for steering. I've used one in a prototype model for the first time today and it is good fun. H
  23. You're right, it is ugly but the performance and racing ability is fantastic. People can always make their own, better looking, bodies for it once your chassis instructions are out. I love that suspension and I enjoyed the video. H
