  1. It sounds like bad wiring, it's certainly a fault causing it to burn the wires resulting in smoke. Maybe the previous owners did some DIY on it. Buy a new one from the lego shop website, your nearest lego store or ebay. Maybe someone on the forums here might be able to help you obtain a working one. H
  2. It's very quick. It looks like it has a third party remote control from what little I could see as it whizzed past the camera. Did you manage to find all the parts after the crash ? The performance is great. Can we have some still images. H
  3. Thanks. H The tow truck is priced at £99 on lego shop website (which means it will be that price in store) but it's on amazon for £74. The F1 racer shows as £79 at lego but it's down to £69 in argos and £59 at toys r us (UK) and amazon (UK). Both sets are within my price range. What to do ? H
  4. It does take a while to adapt to studless if you've been away for a while. I'm still adapting to the odd numbers. Don't worry, your studded parts will become more and more intergrated into your models as you continue. I was worried my studded beams would become redundant but they have not. H
  5. I bought 42006 earlier in the year. It's a good set. H I am leaning more towards it as the days pass. It's cheaper than the tow truck too. H Thanks for your replies so far. The more I look at the F1 the more I could use those parts.. There's a lot of white, in my collection I only have a handful of white. H
  6. Good idea. I like the mix of technic, both studded and stud less, and train. A technic train is a very good idea. H
  7. Great truck. Look forward to a video. Can we get a mini fig with a face? H
  8. Very clever yet oh so simple. I've given up on the triple build to work on something else, now that I have my servo, but I look forward to seeing the entries. H
  9. Greetings, I have a special day coming up next week and I need to treat myself to some lego, problem is I can't decide what technic set to buy. I'm torn between the new Tow Truck (42008) and the F1 Racer (42000). I've noticed the prices have dropped, and continue to drop, on both sets. However, something I saw yesterday is pushing me towards 42000 because of the parts. Your guidance and advice is welcome. H
  10. That's a great idea. I have it in my mind to build a "super bike', but I like your idea better. What rear tyre are you using? Would a unimog or power puller tyre be too big? H
  11. Truly brilliant. Good job. It's wild man. Really wild! H
  12. Anyone get a warning about restrictions on the amount of posts you are allowed? it's happened to me twice in three days. I get a countdown telling me to wait 30 seconds before I can post again. I will see if it continues again as it seems to happen on my first post of the day. Very strange. H
  13. That's a real challenge. H
  14. You forklift looks to be very good. It's neat an tidy. I too look forward to your video. A good entry for the comp. H
  15. Great truck. Where did you get all those power puller wheels? What else is it capable of, will it pull a good amount of weight. H
  16. Great course. I like that you used a lot of lego to make the course. Good video too. H
  17. I love those fantasy/sci fi vehicles. I'm sure between us all we could come up with one. H
  18. That's great. I love that buggy and the trailer is nice. I agree that there is no need for the PF stuff and it all looks well within the part count. I'm still pondering several ideas. H
  19. I can't fault the mechanics and it's a great build. The only negative for me is it's a bit "blocky". I like spaces in the build to see the working parts. H
  20. No. The wheels are just for steering and driving. I've built it as something to play with which is why everything is manual. I'm still getting to grips with the studless building methods you see. I want more pnuematics myself. H Thanks. H
  21. Very clever. The witch stirring a cauldran. H
