  1. That's a really nice build. The barrell is very clever, we must leave no stone unturned. H
  2. There are no specific rules for this then? Just build a flying vehicle, plane, helicopter etc. H
  3. Gee, Good to see you are getting the hang of it now. Both your models are good and have potential. Keep on keeping on. H it might be worth checking brickset to see a parts list before you buy a set. The new skip/container truck might be a good one to get. It looks like lego are clearing out again for 2014. Let us know what you get. H
  4. We need a nice blue and white helicopter similar to 9396. H
  5. I love the idea of train. I look forward to it. H
  6. I've just looked up De dion suspension. Interesting. The above car set up is great. H
  7. I saw a DeLorean a few weeks ago at the local petrol station. In full working order as it drove off. But for me you need to make the chitty chitty bang bang car. H
  8. Great! You're very close to something special. I can see little children being fascintaed with that in the lego store!. H
  9. I too have always dreamt of remote control lego for 35yrs. I will have a look at your project. H
  10. The reality is the sets "replicate hydraulics, etc" so maybe there needs to be some correction. I will look out for this on my next vsit to the lego store. H
  11. I love that buggy! Your crawler looks very good too, except for the steering. Your rough terrain idea is a good one. Did I see two motors used on the buggy? H
  12. Hi Gee, See what you can do! I love your first model and I would say, as it's the better performing out of the two, keep working on it and try to improve it. Try and include a differential on those rear wheels and try to get a servo for your steering. You've done something I could not do and that is steering with an M motor. Well done on your creations. Now keep at it. H
  13. Greetings, Design limbo? Not sure I agree with the title having missed many a set as a poor child or more recently as an overworked adult. Now i'm back into it I find it hard to be negative about lego. I've graduated from city/town lego as a child into Technic. I can see how some are frustrated because you want Lego take things to another level, which in someways I feel they have. Looking back at the recent years sets their are some great models, 8258, 8109, 9396, 9398, 9397 and many more over the years. I wish I had obtained all the sets I've mentioned and I know some of you have. The comment about lego being aimed at children is correct, but it does say on the boxes (technic) for ages 7 +, there is no maximum age. Technic lego is used in Universities and colleges across the world so there must be a recognition by lego that their product is used by adults. The very existance of this forum, the many other forums etc etc proves that recognition. So where lego thinks of it's target audience, i'm sure there is an element that thinks of those of us who have grown up with lego. Yes. I would love to see a fire truck on the scale of the latest crane with a massive sky lift or a RC tank, similar to what you guys come up with. I'd love massive pneumatics (as said before), larger springs, the return of mini figs (technic men) and much more but we're not there yet. I'm sure the business people in lego have their costs to think of. Lets think of the positive. Lets create great models with our parts and maybe one day when I've built that fire truck or when one of you have made that great supercar with gulwing doors, a seven speed gear box (including reverse), automated folding roof, pop up head lights and hubless wheels and full RC, maybe then someone from lego might think, "What a great idea for a set. Our target audience will love it. Those guys at Eurobricks are great!" H
  14. Great looking car and an original idea. It needs bespoke tyres, or at least some other tyre like thing to make contact with the ground and work with your set up. You could, for example, use tracks. You car will set many a lego technic brain thinking now. Good job. H
  15. Great crawler with good performance. It has a good ground clearance and I love the features. Well done. H
  16. That's certainly one for lego to consider building for display. I would love to see pictures of the real build. Great digital build! H
  17. I see. Its still a good model without the Power functions. Thinking about it now, I would keep it manual. Good job. H
  18. Good job. I had a similar idea about car doors a while ago. I tried using the mini pneumatic on a much smaller model. it did not work. Your set up is something to consider in the future on larger models. H
  19. Get yourself a servo for steering. I'm glad I invested in one. H
  20. That looks great. What's it's function? Speed, power or both? I wish I could get LDD to work like that for me. H
  21. I have no ideas about steering a walker. I made a six legged bug a while ago and it seemed to steer itself towards the left. I look forward to seeing your steering solution in action. It will be a learning opportunity. H
  22. Good for you Gee. I look forward to seeing what you can come up with. There are many youtube videos of GBC modules. I watch them in total amazement but am yet to try my hand at one. H
  23. That's a nice model. The rear of the vehicle is very appealing and it has a military look about it. That battery box just needs a better home. Note to self: Remember to build battery box into design. H
  24. Nice. Your car is exceptional and a good size. H
