  1. I remember making my own chunky tyres by taking the tyre off the rim and putting back on half way. That was about 1980 when I had a miniscule town collection. I also made my own steering. It will lift a loaded battery pack and with the bucket tipped down it will lift itself off the ground as one of the images shows. I'm a big fan of pnuematics, I just need more tubing. The pump i've used I got sometime in the mid nineties with some tubing. I would love bigger cylinders. H Yes. I agree. With larger pneumatics and a pack of multi size tubing. Yum yum. H
  2. That looks very sci fi. Did you consider only using two motors as a default then activating the other two motors if extra power was required. I look forward to the video. H
  3. I understand what you mean. It's a loader then. It was interesting to see the different types of skid loaders. Maybe I should change the topic title. H
  4. Hi All, I want to show you my moc of a Skid Loader/loader inspired by previous postings on here. I made it with a four wheel steer (as I did not have enough track) and pneumatic lift for the bucket, I used a small LA to tip and raise the bucket controlled by the two black angular wheels. It's all manual. The cab lifts to release the technic fugure with steering from the cab and the conical gear wheel at the rear. I'm finished with it for now to try and come up with something for the triple build. I might come back to it later now that I have my servo. Thanks and I hope my linking has worked this time around. H
  5. Now I need to buy some 42000 suspension parts. H
  6. They must be doing an update. It would be a shame if people cannot get their power functions. H PS: The servo is now showing on the Technic page of lego shop.
  7. That is a work of art. Please make more. I'm sure i've mentioned this before but any thoughts to do a battle ship. H
  8. That's fantastic. I like that you've adapted a radio control motor into it and your video is great. H
  9. It does look good. I'm not sure about the head and eyes but keep working on it. H
  10. Brilliant work in progress! I like your choice of suspension. I'm wondering what colour scheme you will use for the body and am looking forward to the completed model. H
  11. You want to propel a car with it. H
  12. Nice gear box. Let us see the completed model when you're done. H
  13. Ok. So I have version one. Looks like another trip to the lego store to see if they have version two. I'll have to read up on it. Thanks H
  14. I saw this on youtube a few days ago. It's epic and must have taken ages to design and build. I would have liked to see the balls being seperated out at some point but no matter. I've watched it a few times. It's very clever. H
  15. How does one identify version one and two? H
  16. Good idea. Mindstorms is the best way to control something like that. In part it reminds me of the big drill thing they use to make the channel tunnell. You're not far off that. H
  17. Great car. I love these builds but would love to see them in different colours. Some pictures of the drive train would be good. H PS: For the sake of the pics I would do away with the steering on the roof.
  18. So that's why the electrics are raised up. Good job and good video. H
  19. My servo arrived today. Good service. An unexpected buy so I am very happy. H
  20. It might be something similar to the F1 car suspension. I'm sure you will find the solution and we are all here to help. Keep at it. H
  21. The great model and great presentation. When I get my servo I can try my hand at something big. H
  22. That's interesting. I'm yet to see that set up in a lego store (only visited two in the UK. I have a local store close by now). My local store sells power functions parts, except the new servo, which is good. I did not ask about the new L motor but will look on my next visit. I take it these grab bags were technic parts. I wish they would sell technic parts, I would be in the stores every week. H
  23. Thanks for posting this. I've ordered a servo at £20 to arrive in five days. You can also place your order at your local lego store and get free postage with the item arriving in five days. I can't wait. H
