Wow, that story is really heating up (literally)! Looks like Sir Glorfindel has gotten himself an enemy... Very nice build, SK, the woodwork is great - I didn't know those slit pieces existed in brown, but they look very good here! - and the fireplace is really superb as well! Excellent job with the floor, shelf, and other furniture too, and it's great that you're starting to write more fleshed out stories!

And besides those there are the Rum Islands claimed and settled by Garvey (settlement - Freeport), King's Island settled by Mardier (settlement - Calisto), and the Grand Duchy of Prio (settlement - Alexport). The problem, if there is one, is that we haven't yet had time to explore, trade with, or visit any of these NPC settlements in our stories/builds, rather than that they don't exist

Well, I'd be happy to, but then, I would probably just be thinking mostly the same things as you, so I'm not sure it would be all that much help... Plus, if there's anything particular I may as well just ask you to include it in person I totally agree with you here, and really ought to start a more cohesive story-line for GoH, which has been on my to-do list for probably a couple of years

[SR-Freebuild Jan] Pirate Pet Shop
Garmadon replied to MKJoshA's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This Very nice little build, MKJ, the idea is awesome, and the execution is great as well! The pink leaves somehow work very neatly there, and aquarium and cages are excellent as well! Cool to see good old Freddy again too! -
Well, thanks! And I'll make sure to be more careful about the order in which I do my paperwork in the future!
-
Very nice job, both of you - it's always great to get to see collaborative builds! The dark green water and rocks and excellent, and I really like the exposed studs and wooden supports on the house on the left as well! The use of the brown carrot tops on the window, the spikes, and the windows made from the back of headlight bricks on the other house are the things which stand out most to me, and it's nice to get a bigger glimpse into life in Zotharith!

Yes, just those three Oh, ah, alright. I had kind of assumed that if I hadn't participated in any MRCA yet it didn't entirely matter in which order I licenced the ships (and I thought we might have changed the wording to "a member always has a right to his first Class 1 or Class 2 vessel," my other one being a paid Class 3 - just checked the Rule Update thread and apparently I was wrong on that one, though, and the rules state that a member can't have a larger vessel, so you're right about that), but it doesn't make that much difference to me either way, so it's fine as it is! Thanks for fixing the auctioned one!
-
@Phred, it seems like the system has charged me for two of the three ships I licenced recently (a 2F that was my free ship - first Class 1 or 2 vessel - and a 2A that was bought at an auction from Kai and Legostone and for which I had already transferred the 155 DBs to them), where it should only have charged for the 3F (which it did - and that was in the Dec sheet, by the way). If you could fix those first two (January sheet), I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Next MCRA - Infos, Dates and Maps

No worries - I've already sent a list of all of Eslandola's LoM's to Ska with your ships on it before the 5th! -
Shipwrights Guild Hall (WIPs, feedback, and advice)
Garmadon replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I love half stud offsets (half and quarter plate offsets are even neater though ) - remind me to do that whenever I get around to building a ship with gunports! Very nice, by the way - I hope you do tile the decks though Finishing up another ship here myself, but not for BoBS, unfortunately -
Very nice build and story, Kai, I really like that boardwalk and the plants and water beneath it, and the dark tan shore and jungle are excellent as well! That poem is great too, and I'm looking forward to where you go with this story!

Eslandola Colonial Council Campaigns - First Cycle, 617
Garmadon replied to Kai NRG's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Excellent build and great recreation of Capt Wolf's council hall, Captain B! Awesome to see so many familiar faces there too! Why don't you give it its own topic, it definitely deserves it! -
Excellent colors, photography, and composition, MassEditor, the jungle and riveredge are superb, and the pyramid itself looks great as well! And yes, cloudy days are the best photographic lighting there is!

Both, depending generally on the nature of the title (and, of course, if a title is a prize for a challenge, those who don't win should probably not just copy the title! ) For instance, Sir Uridius Dratiphe (my sig-fig) is the self-proclaimed lord of Weyworth Keep and a few other castles, but the titles of Tribuni of Ulandus, Hersir of Calvary, Admiral of the Marine, and some others were won through challenges (or things such as the Age of Mitgardia, for instance)

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Garmadon replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Hello! Glad to hear it, you've definitely made the right choice! Hmm, that's a bit hard to estimate, and the Guild has been a bit calmer than usual of late, but I'd say there are probably anywhere from about 10 to 15 fairly active members - SK, of course, being at the top of the active list! -
En Egliam: Celebrating five years of GoH!- Prelude
Garmadon replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Awesome story and excellent build, Ecc, definitely getting me excited for Book III! The combination of styles here work superbly, and the minifigs have some really excellent combos as well! The building with the dark tan dome and the outer wall (loving that strip of color!) in particular have some great color schemes, and your usual wonderful texture works very nicely on the docks in front! Looking forward to more from you, and finding out what happens with Besdarc! -
Book II Chal V: Cat A (Riders of Historica) Entry (Alliance Side)
Garmadon replied to halixon's topic in Guilds of Historica
Neat build, Windusky, and glad to see you around again! I'll echo the others about the excellent posing (particularly on the horseman), and the landscape is pretty neat as well! I do think you'll find that it looks better if you place the dark tan next to the waterline to show wet sand, and the light tan farther up, instead of mixing them together like this, but that's a rather small note on this nice entry! Keep it up! (and congrats on being the first to get something in! ) -
To the Mstr. Willem J. Morris, esq, etc., etc., First and foremost, let me express my joy in finding (in you, obviously) a man who can truly spell (my own name being the point in question). Next, excellent, excellent! Indeed, Mardier has proved itself to be a veritably villainous and treacherous, backstabbing nation, and is a threat to civilization itself - and to piracy, it would appear, as well. At any rate, we shall most gratefully accept your request, and both the Peregrine and Night's Whisper shall instantly conveyed a Letter of Marque, and added to the list of those ships sailing under said letters against Mardier from the Eslandolan crown - ahem! - Council. Furthermore, I am delighted (together with the rest of Eslandola) at the opening of a new trading opportunity within your esteemed settlement, and wish you the best in your endeavour! I shall express my hope that your vessels may safely return at least most of your crew to their homes at the end of your journey, and leave a great many Mardierian ships floundering in its wake. Yours, E. T. Wilkinson de Chauncourtois E. T. Wilkinson de Cauncourtois On behalf of the High Council of Eslandola.

Very funny and neat ship, Dr_Spock, and yes, that color-scheme does work surprisingly well! Loving those ratline, swivel guns, and sailplan as well! My only question is, why are the jib and spanker on the boom and bowsprit instead of on the gaff and forestay?

Very nice build, Jacob Nion, and definitely one that just screams your name! The wild angles, bulging walls, and stone-work texturing are all excellent, and the dark brown and white Tudor is especially superb! Great job with that sign and the story as well!

MCRA – the end of Athena`s Grace
Garmadon replied to Gulagurag's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Neat build, Gulagurag! The studlessly smooth sand looks quite nice, and I really like the inclusion of those printing boards as well! Good work with that bit of the jungle too, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this all goes! -
I really like the minifigs and all those weapons you managed to pile onto that horse, Don Leopold, and the landscape is great as well! Very nice little build!

Another neat ship, Legostone, the sails are awesome and I particularly like the stern technique! Thanks for the ship as well!
