Book 2 Challenge V Cat B: The Trojan Camel
Garmadon replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Guilds of Historica
Lovely stratified rock there, Captain B, the colors are great, and the curves on the bottom rows especially caught my eye! Very neat 'Trojan Camel' ( ) and scaffold buildings and vehicles as well, I do want to see the look on Ravaage's face when he gets that! That dark green cactus is really a great detail too!- 20 replies

Book II Challenge V Category A - The Mailbox!
Garmadon replied to jaapxaap's topic in Guilds of Historica
Very funny entry, and as Sk said, very Nocturnian too! That mailbox definitely looks 'safe,' certainly, and I really like the small slight you've got up there! Great to see you back! -
Book II, Challenge V: Cat A -ClearFalls Encounter (Pt.1)
Garmadon replied to Legofin2012's topic in Guilds of Historica
Really nice build, Legofin, I love the overflowing landscape siting on your signature black base! Great job capturing the Mitgardian atmosphere, and excellent use of that Tauntaun there too! I do feel somewhat sorry for that poor messenger, though!- 17 replies

You can't go wrong with dark brown! Another very nice building here, Meph, the subdued color-scheme works very well, and the blacksmiths at work and other minifigs liven it up neatly Awesome gables and use of those slopes on the lower windows too!

Chapter V, Book II: Searching for Hope
Garmadon replied to MassEditor's topic in Guilds of Historica
I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I couldn't miss a chance to comment on this build again here - beautiful work, MassEditor, the vegetation and the colors it gives are splendid, and the architecture is really unique and excellent as well! Great job with those trees as well, and the overflowing landscape really gives this build the finishing touch! Very nice accompanying story too - excellent job as usual! -
Another superb and very innovative entry to this category! - the height and narrowness of the build is astonishing, and the lighting, night sky, and waterfall are epic as well! Awesome build, Sleg!
-
Wow that eagle! Now that is really impressive - especially with the size limitations! Loving those wings and the head, and the wall is quite nice as well! This would be quite probably my favorite of your builds yet, keep it up!

Very nice build, Blufiji, the vegetation is really superb, and the shapes and parts usage on the fortress are truly amazing as well! Those windows in particular are excellent, and great choice to put the water section in the corner there too!
-
Awesome looking houses, I really love the colors and decorations you give them (that dark brown roof and the balcony in the taller house are especially great!), and I'm definitely looking forward to watching as you progress with it!
-
Great combination of colors and textures, SK, and really neat mill as well! As I mentioned on Flickr, that tree is fantastic too, and for some reason I really like that combo on the mill driver!

Excellent idea to index and tie together all your builds here, Gideon, and as others have said, it's truly inspirational and quite a pleasure to scroll through them all! Keep on building!

Beautiful build, Gideon, excellent facade, and those vines, the door, and the windows are all great as well! The colors tie in together very nicely, and the hangings inside the windows and assassin up top with the crate are some of my favorite details (is that bad? ) Great to see you building again in BoBS! Oh, and sorry to be nitpicky, but unless I'm wrong I think that you're supposed to put the side your building for (Mardier, I assume? ) in a line up at the top

Ha ha, I was right! Excellent build and great story as always, Kai, the pillars, golden decorations, rug, and chandelier give it a very Eslandolan look, and the statues and tapestries definitely capture the regal part as well! Great job, and looking forward to where this story is going!

[SR - FB1 - Feb 617 - LDD] Gossamer House, Bastion
Garmadon replied to kaiju's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Very nice build, kaiju, the sand green really looks great there, and the decorated rails and checkered floor work very well there too! Great job with the interior as well - the furniture is excellent, and those sparring dummies and and weapons on top are a neat touch! In general, I don't think the studs make it any worse, but I do think it would be good to tile the stairs (and maybe add some railing and/or a closet or compartment beneath them) just to make it more visually interesting, as it takes up a lot of space but isn't all that attractive as it is Great job overall though - keep it up!- 7 replies

Great build, Kai, the colors work very well, and I particularly like the black tiles and jumpers topping off the walls and that excellent interior! Awesome figs too, and that bridge between the towers is really great as well! And congrats on the well-deserved frontpage!

Ah, no - I just meant that having a fellow tying them down in the pic was a great way of avoiding having to tie down yet another two strings tautly As to the hull - yes, that would definitely require quite a lot of small brown tiles and cheese! On the upper hull (apparent ) blocky-ness, I was referring more to the horizontal flatness where it connects with the hull, and not the bend in and out there - you see, I think it would mix a lot better if the SNOTted hull could be carried right up to the coloured curve (but then, that is a very complicated situation there! I had the same or a similar situation with the curve on my last ship (and transition from SNOT to studs-up - here's a pic to see what I mean), but thankfully that nifty golden strip mostly worked quite well to ease the transition Anyways, 'tis a pleasure, sir!

Awesome tree and very nice hill, Maestro, the foliage is really nicely done, and the little mound is something I don't actually see in LEGO all that often either! Keep it up!

[OL - FB] RNTC - Fort Henri
Garmadon replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Excellent fort, KB, the shape is just about perfectly executed, and neat and innovative shape it is! Your figs' suits, cannon, and wagon are great details as well, and I'm also a fan of that fellow stealing a nap there! If there's one nitpick I'd have, it's that I would like to perhaps see a bit more color - it really is a lot of grey, and the landscape colors are rather muted as well. Maybe a few palm trees would have helped with that, but I see they've cut them all down so they don't get in the way A bit of jungle in the corner or some more jungl-ish foliage and flowers might have done the trick too - but then, this thing already is tremendously huge, so I can totally see why you wouldn't have wanted to make it any bigger! At any rate, excellent job here: keep it up!- 13 replies

Excellent and singularly impressive build, Maxim! - the size along is astounding, but I, too, love all the personal details you've given to each of the buildings, making them almost guessable even without knowing whose they are! Some of my favorite details are the fort, all the soldiers, the gold on Fontanajo's building, and the arches on the White Glove Order's (and great job catching that Mardierian spy too, of course! ) Definitely some time well-spent, mate! You'll launch Trador into fame yet!

Another neat build and story, Franco, the island looks like a proper pirate hide-away, and the statues and arch in particular are great! And remind me never to sign up as a crew-member for that pirate!
-
Excellent job once again, Franco, and I'm sure there are some Corries I know who must think so as well (ahem - Bregir - ahem )! The little pirate vessel is quite neat, and your fleet pictures are always great to see as well! Looking forward to seeing where this goes!
-
Excellent story and MOC, Captain G, loving the suspense building up around the Order and the RNTC! Very nice build and posing as well - the kiln, building, and pathway are great, and, however small a detail it is, I really like the broken cart too! Keep it up!

[SR - FB2 - Jan 617 - Ship] The Bleak Angel
Garmadon replied to kaiju's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A very impressive and large ship, Kaiju, and clearly a well-manned on as well! The black, brown, dark red, and gold work very well together, and the vessel's profile - especially in the first picture - make her loo like a dangerous enemy! I also really like how you made the decks removable for access to the cabin and gundeck! Great job mate, I'm looking forward to seeing it in action!- 7 replies
