  1. Really neat build, that crane is excellent, and the bundles of materials lying all around do a god job of portraying the building process! Keep it up!
  2. Quite a nice ship, Gulagurag! The colors work excellently together, and the stern is executed brilliantly! - the gold trimming and your way of supporting the sills outside the windows being my favorite details! The imperial flagship's sails work nicely here as well, and I'm looking forward to seeing her in action!
  3. A valiant effort, and well repaid with victory! Go Eslandola! Very nice build, Faladrin, the fort is really neat, and I particularly like the bridge and the use of those prefab corner pieces around the door! Very nice cannon designs as well, and the historical basis is an excellent addition as well! Keep it up!
  4. Aww, what? Very nice little fort, Kwatchi, the angled walls look great, as do those black uniforms and that flag! The lanterns work nicely to set the mood as well! Remind me to sail along the side of the cliffs with little bity boats if I ever raid Charlatan Bay
  5. A small, unlicenced build from me around Pontelli: (See more here)
  6. A new build from me, just to advance my storyline a bit
  7. Aww, that really is a very neat little build there, Captain B! The cannon, broken ship, and plume are my favorite details, but the whole scene is excellently executed! Great use of those Mixel eyes, too!
  8. Ha-ha, colour me not very surprised! Looking forward to getting a real chance to cross swords, now! (Where's that rowboat of yours to be found? ) Hmm, very interesting story developments and a lovely room - and a good choice of dark red for the bishop's carpet, for a number of reasons Is it bad that I really like the combo on you Mardierian Admiral too?
  9. It's always great to see a neat contingent of Eslandolan troops! Very nice ship, Maxim, as the others have said, great way to capture the speedy and powerful looks at the same time! Neat colors as well, and for some reason I'm really liking that wing Great job, and I hope your mission meets with success!
  10. Ah, looking neat! Can't wait to see more! Good job with that house and the little tree, and the trans-clear cheese in the water do help out the otherwise bare plate nicely!
  11. Well, I had just built a jollyboat myself, and found that small brickbuilt boats aren't nearly as easy as they might look - plus, it's rather rare that we actually see ships with their boats in BoBS (most ship wouldn't even fit them very well! - talking for my own, at least! ), so I thought I ought to give credit where credit was due!
  12. On a peaceful dock beside Pontelli... While he was still awaiting the arrival of his first mate with the new ETWC ship, the Fog-Breaker from Terreli, Captain Whiffo had heard that a certain ex-pirate ship was likely to go cheap - and that it had true rat-lines. To tell the truth, that was really what interested him. At any rate, after seeing to the new ETWC oat plantation, he headed off to meet with Guy Wyndzon's used ship dealer on his favorite section of the docks besides Pontelli. It was peaceful spot situated right next to the as yet untamed jungle of the island, and was a perfect place for running a good deal, the Captain thought. But then, anywhere is a good place for that to an Eslandolan... "Good day, sir," exclaimed the agent as Captain Whiffo strolled up the wooden boardwalk, "I hear you're interested in our ship, the previous White Skull." "Precisely, sir," replied Captain Whiffo,"I have quite the feeling to go off on a privateering mission against those villainous Mardierians at the moment, you see." "Ah!" replied the dealer, though in truth the only thing he saw were money signs. "Well sir, I've been told that the minimum price is 100 Doubloons." "Humph," resumed the Captain pensively, "I'll offer 101, then." The agent grinned. "I'm sorry to tell you, but somebody has already offered 105 DBs." "Oh, well then, say 110." "Somebody else has already bid 115, I'm afraid," the dealer commented cheerily. "Ho-hum," retorted Captain Whiffo making accounts for the next likely bid, "make it 126, then." The agent grin only widened. "Begging your pardon, somebody else's bid that too, sir." "Ba!" exclaimed Captain Whiffo, turning away and flipping his sword in the air, "150 is about my last offer then, you rascal!" "160?" asked the dealer, opening his book and looking thoughtful. . Captain Whiffo tapped his foot and raised an eyebrow, and fiddled with the large blue gem he had pulled out. "Beautiful bird over there, don't you think, sir? Well, good day to-" "Ratlines?" interrupted the dealer. "Mardierians? Adventure? Profit?" "You rapscallion!" exclaimed the Captain. "155." "Deal!" And of course he had it, for the fact was, Captain Whiffo had come with 175 Doubloons to spend in the first place anyhow... And oh, but on the other side, after a few more such deals... Yo-ho-ho, a pirate's Eslandolan's life for me! Ahem, yes, sorry, I really couldn't resist! Built just to move on my story here a little and to explain the purchase of the (now unfortunately no longer extant) White Skull. Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome!
  13. Ah, another ship with an excellent stern design! A very nice ship, Sebeus, with an unusual but neat color-scheme! The curve of the side and the decks and activity are very well done, but probably my favorite thing up there is the way you left a space under the wheel for it to turn - I really have to remember that, as most of mine have had some issues with hitting the decks Looking forward to seeing her with sails!
  14. Another excellent ship with this epic color-scheme from you, Capt Wolf! The hand-hold rigging looks great, as do your excellent sails, the curves, and the reverse 1x1 brick technique (I've got to use that next time!), but I really love that view from the stern - just gorgeous! Quite possibly my favorite ship from you, although all of them have been good! Keep it up, mate, glad we have you in Eslandola!
  15. Wweee! Awesome little micro, SK, loving those tiny little siege weapons! Excellent job with the base and the buildings as well, especially that tower roof Giving the other contestants a run for their money, I see!
  16. Very nice little build, and perfectly captivating the feeling of loneliness and wear! Looking forward to more!
  17. Ah, splendid ship, and great way to make your entrance into BoBS! The lines of color on the hull work very well, and those cannon should certainly be enough to dissuade most pirates! It's always awesome to see a ship with an interior as well (and I know what you mean about the rigging impeding it too, that's always rather complicated! ), and as KB said, those stern galleries are superb! If there's one piece of advice I'd give, it would be to give her a couple more stay-sails or none at all - I find that the upper part here just looks a tad odd as it is. Could be just me, though, and it definitely is an excellent ship over all! Welcome to the Brick Seas!
  18. Wow, beautiful curves on that hull, KB, you've captured them to well-nigh perfection! How sturdy would that technique be IRL? Excellent sails and rigging as usual too, and the conquistadors, railing around the stern, and use of those new shields (not really new any more, I suppose ) look great as well Very nice lantern on the back (I'm fairly sure I know how you built that - a travis brick and two rounds with holes in them and a pole down the middle, and a trans-clear 2x1 on each side holding the cheese slopes, correct? - but I'd be happy to see a breakdown as well), and I actually rather like the lower gunport in the back. The railing on the stern, mizzenmast, and that woefully underappreciated but excellent ship's boat are some of my favorite section too And now my post feels as tall as your galleon Excellent job all around!
  19. I really like the first and last shots here, U-M, it makes the vessel very awe-inspiring and powerful-looking The sails are looking better and better as well, and I certainly agree that one brick higher makes it so much more appropriate! Great job on the cabin too, awesome work all around!
  20. Love that chicken head at the front there, Bregir! Really curious design too, with all the ups and downs, but it works quite nicely for all that, and looks singularly appropriate for an indian-esque vessel The slanting doors to the cabin (? I'm assuming ) and the crossbow are some of my favorite details as well!
  21. Thanks, Blackdeathgr! Haha, well I meant to say so earlier, but one of the many things I discovered while building this thing was that I own way less of those tan oat pieces than Captain B! I do have to agree (especially about the golden poles holding them up - but I ran out of brown ones of those too... ), though I think one or two in a patch makes for some nice variation (a la Captain Braunsfeld )! Thanks a lot, Ayrlego! Dark green is definitely an awesome color, and though what's here is about the largest house I could build in that color with my current bricks (and Kai's ), I hope to keep getting some good use out of what I do have! Interiors are a great deal of fun to work with too, and I'm really glad you like the fountain - I really wanted to get some water in the build somewhere to complete the color-scheme, and that seemed the best (and most Eslandolan!) place for it here! Thanks! Well, I hope we can keep up with the ETWC builds - it's definitely the one which appeals to me most as well!
  22. Aha, excellent use of those bananas there! Very cool sig-fig (and hat!) mate, welcome to the world of BoBS!
  23. Very nice build, KB, and that waterwheel is definitely the stand-out piece of it! All those spokes look great, and a good idea using the ship's wheel in the middle of it too! The time spent posing the figs was well worth it as well, and I particularly like the (poor ) fellows pushing the raft upstream. Excellent job on that little boat also!
  24. Could Captain Whiffo set up an anonymous account, please? (Jk..) A nice little build there, Bregir - definitely looks like a place worthy of all the DBs placed inside! Is that trans-blue behind the arches? - those work very well as windows here too! The color-scheme seems to indicate that its architect was probably Eslandolan, though... As to licencing micro-builds according to their base-plate size - hmm, that's an interesting idea, and I'd probably be fine with it myself... why don't you just pop over and see if we can't get an official ruling on that in the Court, though (I don't think it's ever been discussed before?)
  25. Excellent build, Gideon! It's great to see more of the Barqan fire machines, and these are definitely as superb as ever! The helmets on the front of the wagons are great, and the architecture and colors here are splendid as usual too! The crane and parts of more wagons in construction are a great way to show the war-machine building, and that explosion is the icing on the cake! Overall a top-notch entry!
