  1. I see the facts in different aspects simultaneously, so I have ambivalent feelings - but we should not go in it, I will not. Let's keep this forum fun, I also come here to fill up my soul, and waiting patiently for the reviews from Sariel and You.
  2. This might be the case, but also generates negative feelings (at least for me), especially in the AFOL scene. I see, they can gather more clients from new markets, but meanwhile they kick the fans. Creating money is more important than loyality and respect. I formule my words on purpose overreacted, this is not big deal in our daily life, but if it is driven as above mentioned... well this is not the way where humanity should evolve, wrong priorities are misleading in long-term relations (demoralize, and create ego-centric). Sorry for off-topic sociology comment.
  3. Amazing how quick you brothers improved your skills from the first MOC! I like the black one better, only because of the proportion problems of the white - which delivers a lot interesting panel solution. Bravo, great work on both guys!
  4. While these models are really good, is this the correct forum for them? Similar topics were moved quite rapidly...
  5. And how does AutoBild come to publish details before the officially set deadline (as far we were informed)? Beside the technical issues, I think this move makes AutoBild and/or Lego morally questionable. All are equal, but some are more equal... as usual happens in history of mankind. Very much dissapointing.
  6. I am not a fan of busses, but considering all the details and the engineering behind this MOC... Bravo, hat off!
  7. This was a fun event, I am happy that I took the time. The area is beautiful, we had luck with the weather too. Thanks for the effort and for sharing! p.s.: I feel infected with TT virus...
  8. As a packaging designer I have to disappoint You: it is just a wrap-around box, which will although probably serve well... on the other hand, at least there is a chance to pick-up some "B-Ware" (injured packaging) for much lower price. Than maybe I will also consider to buy a copy (50% off). As the guy from AutoBild doesn't name a date, I am curious when will they release the assembly video. While I understand the marketing point of this, I will be dissapointed if sooner as 1. June, because it would be very unfair with the other reviewers. And yes, it can be definied as a review, even if it will be not going in that depth as Sariel and Jim usually do, but for that (new) market there is also no need for detailing a new pin. Let's wait and see, for me it is way overhyped...
  9. Thank You Madoca for the effort and for sharing! We have a lot things to analyse...
  10. Beautiful renders as always! I have a question though: is there no option for perspective view? In my opinion pictures look much realistic, than in isometric view.
  11. Thank You for the reviews rm8, they give really detailed depth to this MOC. Now I am even more impressed by the clever systematic build-up how Sheepo succeeded with modularity. Also great mods, waiting for the next episode, especially the comparison!
  12. Hi, these parts not that rare, see here. The reason of use is simple: I have them, I wanted to use them. Increased wheel travel... almost, because I had to mount them from opposite side as usual happens, so 1 beam height is lost, but still fits. Also the front axle construction with built-in servo makes a lot limitation.
  13. No, this is the improved version. And to add some more content, here are couple color variants:
  14. Something very different, well done!
  15. Sorry for off: where will this happening be? I can not find any informations about it. If my schedule allows, I might visit too.
  16. Thanks guys! I wanted to have great torque, and crawling speed, so that's why I decided for double reduction, but of course every other options are open. I was playing around with that part, but given the 3 stud width, it allows "only" 11 stud wide axle build... oooor the end elements must be half stud wide. Hmmm, worth to think about. It is a bit indeed, but as JJ2 wrote, it is the torque twist. First, I have built the final gearing mirrored, flat surface, straigt forward ride: I was lucky to see the first off-road lowrider in my life!
  17. Insane truck, You delivered the look! I hope You can bring it to life, I follow the next steps.
  18. Maybe the proportions are not working 100% for me, but the front is top! And of course all the obligatory functions there, great MOC! Those photos... I can spend minutes just to look at them, enjoying all the details, and sharpness, I am really impressed.
  19. Excellent, I love all the details, and how realistic it is modelled!
  20. Get well soon Grum, I hope You will be able to follow up the forum, and the news! At least You have (micro) Victoria Beckham with You.
  21. Agree with others, this is indeed a very very good and amazingly complex first attempt. Any chance for demo video?
  22. Interesting concept, I always like the experiments with panels, so fingers crossed for this project.
  23. Thank You all! The servo is directly mounted on the front axle, and directly driven. I had to add some stabilization for the steering rack, without it the gear easily could spring, given the slack of the construction. It still can happen, but not at an annoying level. That was a fast rework, wow! Althugh it will not work fine. The servo must be separated from the bodywork. As mentioned above, it is directly mounted to the axle, for this suspension setup needs space to move. Also the big wheels will come loose much easier, I think with different axles it could be a nice monster truck, so the redesign direction is good.
  24. Hi All, I would like to present my latest experiment, an extreme off-roader mini Samurai - yes, another one . The goal of this project was to see, what is the tiniest chassis I can build, with suspension, steering, and 4x4 drivetrain. I succeed to shrink down to 10 studs width, and for that I built the chassis and the body. The position of the IR receiver might be "illegal", I couldn't place it in LDD, but in reality it works without any problem. Well, the result is quite fine, but the front axle is not stable enough, too much slack left in it, and the gears can slip under hevier load. I tried to reinforce with rubber band, which brought some improvement, but not as much, as I was hoped for. Maybe one day I will build a completely new one, although as it is, pulling a 42043 is no problem for this tiny monster. The rest of it pretty stable, so all in all I am happy with it. Features: 1 XL motor, 1 Servo motor, MiniZip cable, 9V battery, weighs round 460 gramms. HERE You can download the LXF file. I hope You enjoy!
  25. Wow, interesting drivetrain, small pack with all the obligatory features, in one word: fantastic! Would it work with 56x26 balloon wheels too? If yes, could You please make a picture about it?
