Well, yes an no. Right for the business decision point of view. The question itself can be rather unpolite/arrogant (creating social and moral stress) - yes, since people like to compare themselves, try to measure the own success, show the own greatness and power through it, and the common measurement became: money. So maybe it is ok to formulate like this: right question for business/companies, but questionable for individuals. Technic Builder don't take this too serious, it is more to do with sociology, than with your simple question. Sorry for being bit off-topic. edit: maybe for mapping such business is it a good idea to follow-up some MOCs in terms of -views on YouTube -likes on Rebrickable -popularity on Lego Ideas -etc., internet helps a lot.

Hello, in Europe it is also not elegant to ask this question, and probably most people will not answer it. Eurobricks is a place for people who build Lego as hobby, so I would be surprised if You will get a (for yourself) rewarding answer. I do believe, that it is not a viable business plan to build Technic models or making instructions for making (serious) money or for living. You need to consider, that Lego is still luxury goods for a most people, and beside that, most mature people do look at Lego as children toy. AFOLs are also shared out according to interest, and honestly Technic is not the most popular theme. So the target circle is quite tiny. I personally don't sell instructions, I believe in shared knowledge/fun - as it goes about a rather small community, and let's not be hypocrite, it goes about pride as well. I noticed this attitude at most of us, and there are among us big players with top quality MOCs. I love to come here because of that, and I hope that Eurobricks remains the forum of fun. Still, since I made step-by-step instructions once, I understand and accept why people ask little money for time consuming PDF instructions. Probably this topic will be moved to other section soon, and also Your opinion will change as Your baby will born... time will fly by in a minute, enjoy all the seconds!

[MOC] Demolition Excavator
agrof replied to Triswa's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Big like for the project, I consider the metal cylinders like the third party tires.. it is fine to use them here. For TC10... You can still enter with this concept, just go for a smaller scale. -

Excellent news! Sharing this beauty with other Lego fans is a much greater and longer lasting thing, than win a bunch of plastic pieces.- 69 replies

Suzuki Vitara Instructions
agrof replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank You for the instruction, 5 Euro is a reasonable price for professional pdf. Bit off: I might still miss it, but is there any chance for insructions for your Samurai? -
[MOC] Helix - Simple Helicopter

I like the helicopter a lot, but don't like all the weapons on it. The "naked" model is enough in my opinion.- 19 replies

42053 - Volvo EW160E
agrof replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I just finished the build, and just confirmed my thoughts on this set. Very well built, great playability, nice look. I don't have any problem with the valve control, for me works everything pretty logical. The only ambivalent thing: there is a lot small pieces assemblies, which might be needed for replicating the colour scheme, but I still have a feeling, that many solutions could have been done simplier. But anyway, You get a lot of interesting sub-assemblies, and very inspiring ones! And would look also better with yellow 3x11 panel on the left side as well - even with or without sticker -, small mod which is easily can be done. Not the exact same scale, but looks proud with the 8265. -

Thanks for the LDD file, very cool, I can test some modifications. :) For the render: I don't remember any light setting in LDD, but a fixed one. You can change the lightness via rotating the whole model in LDD by 90-180-270 degrees. Try each, and You will see which is the best in Bluerender. -
Hi all! Long time ago I made also small changes on the cab, I love this model, and think it is still the best Technic set ever. The only thing I couldn't understand from the beginning, why to use so many small pieces in the cab design, they just ruin the smooth appearance, which is so well done on the rest of the truck. As the B-model uses the very same cabin design, I have still no idea of the background. I used 5x11 panels, and slightly modified door design. Long story short: I built these changes immadiately at first time, and to be honest it was like nothing, and also no influence on structural stability. Another changes: I replaced couple parts to black ones on the "lights", to get more visible the original reflector area of the Arocs.

We live in such a world, the biggest issue what I see, that these sets started to appear on European advertisement sites (seen on swiss and german sites), where people sell them with huge margin, around for 200 CHF / EUR. The descriptions are not very clear, at least on alibaba You know, what can You expect. This is very misleading for non LEGO familiar people... I don't accept the fact of copying, but I have some understanding if somebody votes for better price/ lower quality combo - if it is clearly stated, that it is about chinese copy product. Watch out guys, read carefully the ads, and check the pictures.

Volvo FH and EW 160 Play Set
agrof replied to steph77's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
As I love the new Volvo excavator, I follow with great interest this project. If somebody, than You can achieve a very good result for sure, You have all the parameters: -creative building technique -good eye for creating not only functional but also beautiful stuff -motivation -real life test team Anyway, I am not against of a red crane, but green would be also interesting... although to match it better with the 42053, orange could be a nice touch. -

[MOC] 4x4 Offroad Car
agrof replied to damjan97PL's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Lovely MOC, technics and look as we like. -
Don't forget, the designers have to think about the B-model simultaneously. This means, that the development and design of the B-model has an effect on the A-model. They need to replace parts, and re-think some solutions. This is also a very strong driving factor, especially here, where they only use the parts of the crane for the "B-model". For standard sets usually they can use all the parts + some spare ones.
