[MOC] RC Mudding Kart
agrof replied to 1711902090's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Agree, very original, I love all the details on it! Regarding the performance: well we must cook with, what we have, and it works - this is what counts here in my opinion. -
Tire and Rim Compability
agrof replied to jgw's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I find this usefull - especially the second picture. Just tested it, and the tyre sits pretty well. Might be good option for small scale off roaders. Although You can use the 30,4x20 wheels similar way - it is easy to push the tyre 1 slot inwards on both sides. This results similar thinner section profile, slightly better grip on wheel and also the diameter will be increased up to ~59 mm (couldn't measure it correctly - no tool). -
Great Review, Thank You Sariel for the effort! Small remark: at the end You compared it with the Xerion 3800 (first live pic), which is smaller, thus slightly different proportions. Also the newest version of Xerion doesn't have the external exhaust pipe, it's been integrated under the hood - better visibility for the operator. I count these "mistakes" as posttraumatic effect of the Turkey chase.

SBrick General Discussion
agrof replied to Nofer89's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hello pasztorl! Beside the latency, I would like to get rid of the phone completely. Than I can use it to shoot videos about the ride for example. I prefer music, hiking... oh wait... so personally I am for the Lego IR controller as it is, except the digital control as I wrote before. The switches should be continuously variable, so way much better control over steering and speed. Also I like the versatility of the body of it, lot variations can be built around (for car, excavator, truck, etc...), so buildability is a must. My 2cents. EDIT: same as for SBrick - as it is 1:1 replacable with the IR Receiver, people can build same MOCs with either of them. This would / should not replace the app, just extend your product profile. I am just happy if this will happen, the "when" is not important. Design-test-production is a long way, we all understand. Thank You for listening! Best regards!- 771 replies

If it is Panamera, maybe should have 4 doors, or? BUT the main thing is: it does look cool, and the removable engine+gearbox is ingenious - so who cares about the name. Good luck!

Thank You Sariel for the review, high valued as usual! I also disagree regading the look - see Sandvik. I am also not bothered by either "cons" listed above, most of them irrelevant for me, or normal compromise - it is finally made of Lego pieces. Can be improved for sure, but out of the box: lot of interesting functions and details, better than expected. Good job TLG!

Oh, I don't want to hurry you, Jim, who am I to order you? What I wanted to point out: we are just someone, who enjoy the service you do for the community while sacrificing free time. Take your time for the usual quality You used to bring to us. Collegues: Patience. -
42055 - Bucket Wheel Excavator
agrof replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I see the point of the manual function: it is the fool proof version that the wheel can not be leveled too deep/high, and can cause part damage. Can be considered as a design shortcut too, but also as senseful feature, appends on us. -

SBrick General Discussion
agrof replied to Nofer89's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hello dear Sbrick Team! For future development: I would appretiate a physical controller unit like the Lego IR one, only with BT and linear control swithes instead of 0-1 digital. At the moment too much pheriperials needed, with too much IT buzz - for me (check app, firmware, devices, connection, why doesn't work, why not with Android / Windos / iOS, etc...). I still enjoy the IR system more: turn it on, and go! My vision: You turn on the battery on the model - Sbrick activates. This wakes up the paired BT Controller unit. In case signal is lost, You can pair the controller with a dedicated "Search" button on it with active Sbrick. Might be idealistic, but as an average user who is not keen on programming and having (IT) gadgets, this would be the ideal solution. Hope this feeback is valuable for You, at least cold be tested on market with a query, maybe there is more potential user like me... jut kidding, I know, I am unique! Best regards!- 771 replies

I also see potential in it, and I must admit I am amazed by the performance. Still, there is too much disadvantage for me - similar to Sbrick: namely all the peripherial devices. Too much additional cost and IT buzzing for a simple user like me. I am an oldschool guy in that way, I just want to turn the model on, and go. I saw Sbrick models live, for me just killing the fun till everything runs ok (app, device1, device 2, "who doesn't switched off his own? "). and meanwhile I was already enjoying the track with my regular IR setup... The whole package should be combined with physical controller unit, like the Lego IR one (maybe exact same shape), only with automatic BT activation, and linear control switches instead of digital 0-1. I imagine like this: turning the BuWizz unit ON will wake up the controller. Or / and in case signal lost, there must be a dedicated "Search" button which connects the controller unit with active BuWizz. Sounds reasonable, and super user-friendly, so I assume it would be hell lot of work to do. I hope, this feedback just will improve the product, fingers crossed for You! p.s.: no offense against Sbrick, I like their product too, but also please consider a controller like above.

I don't think the main attraction is the lifting capacity here, that sounds like nitpicking - even it is not meant like that. You can improve the V2 later. I really enjoyed the Video, and hat off for the programing, it works! -

Looks fantastic, and love the motor + gearbox! Would look amazing in pair with Steph77's LMP1, which was my favorite supercar, but as seems, I have two of them now.- 69 replies

[PORSCHE] Porsche Super Tractor
agrof replied to Kit Fisto's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Love it! I find the unimog tires like a good compromise, and nice usage of the bionicle parts. One small hint: I would place 1x3 black plate under the rear lamp "unit", it would give more contrast for the transparent elements, thus pops-out more from the red mass. -

Beautiful! Maybe the seat and the tank could be more smooth, but overall looks pretty well... reminds me on Fast and Loud, Episode: motorcycle mayhem.... -
Hi Leo360! The new type big turntable should be used here, which came in 42043. It is bigger in diameter, also has bevel teeth, and has less slack than the old one. Please let me know how the build works for You, consider Yourself as a beta tester. :) Thanks guys for the supporting words! The cabin is ok even for 5 stud wide arm too, I just found/find more challenging to shrink the whole construction.
