42053 - Volvo EW160E
agrof replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The actual axle orientation can be 90° rotated, parallel to pin holes. Basicly that's why they had to limit the rotation to 347°, but it is still an acceptable compromise - for me. -

It is not that complicated, Alasdair meant something like this: If You check the steering knob's position in the first picture, than it is pretty straigtforward. -

347° superstructure rotation... it's not a bug, it's a feature! I still think, it will be a great set. -

Well, it moves like it should, great! Can You please take some pictures under the hood, to see the mechanics, drivetrain? -

Thanks for the answer! I see the point of this poject, the drivetrain is very well constructed. I was just wondering, what if... As a ZRX owner, I do understand the meaning of TORQUE.- 220 replies

Thank You for the answer. You don't leave much space to making this decision, do You? -

Oh, all those curves! Beautiful design, as always, BRAVO! I think it has great performance, and I love the fact, that You only use PF motors. This makes more affordable for us, and leaves more playground for creativity. Great description too, enjoyed to read. One question though: how would such model run with 2 L Motors? Obviously the overall torque would be -50% less, but also the weight would be reduced by ~300 gramms (? approx value, 2 L Motors + 1 BB).- 220 replies

This is what I call: performace. Fantastic in terms of: technic, mechanics, and music. A renaissance mind. -

This is technic essence. Great MOC, only the wires need to push into the cabin. Your solution makes me consider to buy a minizip cable. How is the performance with 9V battery compared to normal AA Battery Box (last, output voltage)? -

Beautiful MOC, I love these old trucks. Good quality pictures as well. Do You plan to make video? -

Good to see the Monster alive! I love the smooth movement of the pneumatics. What is the load/dumping capacity, have You tested? The only detail which I don't really like, is the cabin, but could be my personal taste thingy. Great job, good luck with the instructions! -
I am always impressed by Your reverse engineering skills, just fantastic! Here You used a lot of your imagination, in my opinion You even overengineered it, this probably contains more features, as the planned 42051 - just my feeling. p.s.: I am not a fan of the music, but it has nice bittersweet hint knowing the history, great!

lego technic subaru impreza
agrof replied to BB8's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Facts: Well, this is coming bad on Eurobricks. We have a link about a MOC and that it has 2 L motors, we don't even know if it is his/her, or just found on youtube. Some don't like that it differs technically what it promises in the title of the topic, some don't bother about this (inclusive me). Both perspective can be understandable. I generally against the lack of communication. It is simply not effective. @BB8: please make some effort to comment in english, it is very hard this way to make a (constructive) discussion. Thanks for happening in advance. I am out of this topic. -

This is what I meant too, but was covered maybe too much sarcasm, so I will write it clearly. Dropping a single URL without any other content, at least saying Hello, is just simply not acceptable in normal human conversation - my opinion. Some call it spam. You can use google translator, maybe not the best, but still something. On the other hand, I think there is nothing wrong with this MOC, have You built it? -
