Well, you did not link a picture and the brickshelf folder is not yet public - so nobody can see anything right now. In the FAQ you will find how to post pictures: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97921

Change noticed - better!

Wow, this is a really good version of Hogwarts (with a lot of action as well). You should link one or two pics to your post here. Otherwise people won't see. Pls refer to the FAQ: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97921

2015 LEGO Pirates Rumors and Discussion
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Yawgmoth's topic in LEGO Pirates
Thanks for clarifying - I'm going to buy the junior set to give 2015 a good start! -
Cool - this MOC has got dynamic to it. Well done!

I like that tank thingy but I also missed out on the original set. As I am not building too much around Star Wars I might be getting the set to reuse the tan bricks for beaches and the rest for steampunk stuff

Nice pizza place. Some weird characters seem to hang around there. Can we get a complete view from the back side?

Extremely lovely build. Ol' Poggard has a farm mill! Just great, everything is curved: the landscape, the mill, etc. Fantastic!
-
Charming - fitting very well into the existing official winter world. Very clever to have him paint the dinosaur green!
-
Fantastic - good job on water, plants and rockwork. But the Manor is definitely the highlight. Very detailed, very elvish! The Brickshelf folder is not yet public - I am interested to see some more of the entrance. Looks very detailed too. Great - brick on!

2015 LEGO Pirates Rumors and Discussion
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Yawgmoth's topic in LEGO Pirates
January? Not April? Now, I am getting confused. -
Hi Everyone, I would like to present a recent project: "Dunehill Castle". Dunehill Castle is located in the northwest of the Siccus desert in Kaliphlin. The castle's guards have sworn to protect caravan routes through the desert against rogues and robber bands. Major Sirius Artanc leads his men into battle (if need be). You can find Sirius on the fourth picture, on the right. The idea to "Dunehill Castle" was threefold: First to create a cubic castle (similar to Coltherstone Castle Keep by frumpy), secondly to avoid my usual light grey/dark grey slopes but to use tan/dark tan for the rocky bits, thirdly to try some decent glass windows. And fourthly I needed to add a monkey because many people have asked me where my "iconic figures" have disappeared. So, let us move to the glass windows: I don't know whether you are familiar with "La Sagrada Familia" in Barcelona. I saw it a few months ago and was overwhelmed by the colours and lights. So this is why I used a red/orange and a blue window for the castle. .. and I have used all light grey legs I could find I hope you like this and I am awaiting your feedback! Edit: I would like to claim UoP credits for: Architecture wall techniques advanced windows and window frames Landscape Design sand dunes Anthropology life in Kaliphlin

I think the main challenge with galleons is to not make them look too bulky. In that case, your MOC has been quite successful.

Very good, both interior and exterior. Funny thing is I have been working on a similarly shaped castle myself in the past few weeks (I still need to post it though), that's why I like this "cuboid" approach very much. Windows (with and without glass) are also top!

I like the action and the ruins. As for the trees: Actually, when brick trees get very good, I tend to overlook them. They just seem to be the natural background. So in picture #5 I basically see a scene in the woods and I take the wood for granted. That was meant to be a positive remark (if it came across strangely...)

I will accept this as a "sjekte". This is a very nice and somehow peaceful creation. Water has turned out well and the boat is excellent.

@Matthias: You have more redcoats than bluecoats? Which side are you on? @Mazin: I like the choice of faces for your redcoats. Well done!

The Xebec is really cool - and to me much different from your other ships. Well done! Did you post the LDD-file somewhere?
-
Very good - you seem to have seen the third part of "The Hobbit" "If more people valued home above gold, the world would be a merrier place". That is actually very wise.

Dwarven attack boats have been sighted in Tradewind Bay. Their origin is as unknown as their destination. Maybe they are trying to get to Avalonia, undetected by the Elves.

2014 Winter Village / Christmas display
Captain Braunsfeld replied to CoNSpiracy's topic in LEGO Town
I am not so sure whether I would like to meet the icebear, but apart from that it is an excellent diorama- with a pseudo-tunnel.- 13 replies

Looks great now that we know how the dwarf statues fit into the overall picture. Are you planning to build a landscape around the Erebor?

Very fine fireplace. 3D-painting Merry Christmas!

79018 "The Lonely Mountain": What do you think?
Captain Braunsfeld replied to BrickSev's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hello BrickSev, Smaug is the key element for me in 79018. Rest is ok if you want to build things with sand green. If you are looking for a decent dragon it is Smaug (didn't we discuss this in another post already?). I think you can connect several 79012 but it would still make a poor defense wall (probably as easily overrun as in the movie). Elf figures, however, are ok.- 15 replies
