  1. This looks heavily armed and transforms surprisingly well - great job! (initially I was reminded of "Little Nellie" but this is definitely something bigger and better here.)
  2. I agree: no gold = no pirates! That would be really bad. I am currently buying the recent castle battlepack (blue) because in their treasure chest you find a gold ingot and golden coins!
  3. Thanks for the link! Impressive, what is the English word for "Heimvorteil"? Ok, you have a "home field advantage"
  4. Congratulations! Fantastic!!
  5. A bicorne in blue/dark blue will be greatly appreciated!
  6. Thanks, Wellesley. I am not 100% sure about the papercoats but the light grey trousers are definitely ok. The "blue" helmet design is something I had tried with a different type of wheel (to make it look more like those French shakos). However, I was disappointed at the end as they never really looked like helmets. Yours seem to work out a bit better.
  7. Great idea - well executed. Water has turned out well in both scenes.
  8. Thorshaven looks good. I don't think I've seen much of the city before, so thanks for the overview pic. Is the lady going to throw the bad cheese? I like the market square buildings (esp. choice of colour) and the city hall (arches!).
  9. Sorry, this is an entry for a challenge (dwarves visit a famous dwarf statue) and so there will be nothing more.
  10. Thanks to everyone who liked the dwarf inventor. The dwarves attack the drow - but how the overall story ends is still unclear. The future (Book III) is yet to be written!
  11. Me too. I have observed the same. So, separator lifetime is surely limited.
  12. Yes, but it does not seem to display all the posts (depending on number of posts). I could not find all of my own posts by that method...
  13. What works for me? a) double-knots. b) knot-avoidance, just likeBEAVeR mentioned. But I find the double-knots hard to do and they never end up where I want them to be...
  14. My wife has joined in being a fan and she is building stuff herself. My oldest son is in the dark ages - my younger son is still actively playing and building. Around us: no-one in the rest of the family...
  15. Nice snowy layout!
  16. Drumroll: Here comes my Austrian army: ...small but brave! (Archduke on the left) (I have tried different colours for the trousers, e.g. white and red, which is probably historically more correct - in the end I thought they looked best in blue)
  17. This is great with so much snow! The icicles are excellent! (This MOC would deserve a better title than merely "Cottage House", but I struggle with my MOC titles as well....)
  18. Very good. Not only the aforementioned "seated short legs" but also the rock work (kind of "SNAA" = studs nowhere at all).
  19. Lovely: straight and clear design and good choice of colour! Any interior to be shown?
  20. The Juniors pirate set can be ordered in Germany (it seems) but I went to the Lego store yesterday and did not find it (ok, the team seemed a bit challenged on the first day of the year. Shop was fully crowded and they had not even managed to find a spot for the new minifig series ...)
  21. This is a great project. Very inspiring. I remember some of the old sets, the new ones look just perfect!
  22. These are excellent race cars. I am very impressed.
  23. The disco diva is really not so interesting. We tried to get the snake charmer but turned up with too many evil wizards instead
  24. Thanks for pointing these out. I'll try to get them.
