  1. The action is extremely well captured - great work. Wall technique and siege equipment are top.
  2. The two weeks have been well invested. I like this very much, the coastline, the water, the rocky bit and the medieval buildings. Well done again!
  3. Good idea to combine these two topics (good ideas always seem obvious in hindsight).
  4. Very well done. I see that you are among the few people that have this "pearl gold" pillar brick. Very useful in this case. Excellent work!
  5. Cool idea - and great SNOT work.
  6. Hello Matthias, I think I bought the bayonets at BrickForge. At least that's where the muskets are from... (You can find different versions of bayonets at BrickWarriors)
  7. I agree and I like this MOC - but I have a question: shouldn't the snow be on top of the grey rock pieces? (I suppose some snow has melted away)
  8. Sorry, I am still puzzled. So I got credits twice (see above) and would need one more. But this post is disappearing in the mass of new posts (due to my own post too, ok). So what/who will help me to push this a little further?
  9. Yepp, pity on us...
  10. Well done. You have perfectly reached your goal!
  11. I think this is a perfectly fine diorama. You have left enough free space so that the viewer does not get overwhelmed with houses, trees and minifigs. Instead, everything has its place. Nice job, Merry Christmas!
  12. Yeah, that's Thrain! I'd probably prefer to encounter the other guy ... might be safer... Taking wings for a beard? Great idea!
  13. Dear all, here is my [small] Christmas MOC for you: Dáin II. Ironfoot Have a very merry Christmas! (Or whatever feast you may personally prefer)
  14. What a show! Excellent work, a lot of dynamic captured in the MOC.
  15. Fantastic - great MOC and great photography. Water has turned out extremely well, overall colours too!
  16. I think this is great. Haven't seen a laughing/smiling statue before. Makes it really friendly - a very positive MOC.
  17. Yes we have seen pictures already, but not in this excellent form. This is a heart-warming story, thanks for sharing. (HMS Bulldog is noted) Merry Christmas!
  18. Overall shape looks galleonish already. However, I must give a warning: black is not the nicest colour to work with. All the detail work you apply will have a tendency to disappear in the overall blackness. I have modified the black pearl and was disappointed with the overall look - and also on the pictures not much was to be seen. Similar story with a "dark fortress" I have tried (combined with dark red in that case). In theory it should be ok (e.g. Barad-Dur looks fantastic) but in real bricks it turned out bad. Long story short: I would recommend to use black as a secondary colour. Brick on and Merry Christmas!
  19. A worthy ending! Thanks - and Merry Christmas to you!
  20. That would be fun. Actually this reminds me of the initial Adventure sets. They were charming.
  21. Well, guys, a black helmet painted silver is not the same as a true silver helmet by TLG.
  22. ... adjusting to colour of green...

  23. Yepp, waiting until April will be tough. But this is what life is all about these days. You wait for two years after having seen "The Hobbit" (first part) until you get the end... etc.
  24. I can present the Prussian Army (1805). Much to my surprise I found out that at some point in time the Prussian colours obviously weren't blue but green (which I thought was "reserved for the Russian army at that time). Anyway, here's my army: (The cavalry is "fantasy")
  25. Congratulations, your brick built boat is excellent and unique! The overall scene is both lively and lovely. Very good. (Your modular castle approach is very inspiring!)
