  1. Very nice! The best ambulance we've seen here for quite a while, I guess. It's all built very well (that grille!), but what really stands out is the snotted front of the patient compartment which leads to a wheelbase with an odd length. You don't see such things very often. I also love the rear lights with that nice offset. Really a beautiful model!
  2. Looking great, especially with those black wheels! Even if they are only 6 studs wide they look much more "to scale" than the usual Town fire engines.
  3. Why not 7w? Because of the offset at the windscreen which would make the car one plate taller? Guess that would be a nice width here anyway.
  4. Great, gets better and better! Very nice solution for the frontend.
  5. Very nice! Big improvement of the original build plus it's as low as it can get. With the proper stickers added it will look even better. Regarding headlights and slopes I agree with SpaceMonkey, maybe I'd try the 2x1 slope with slots behind the cockpit, too.
  6. Wow! Now I know why those little yacht guys are so upset for some days now. They're even urging me to build a second, larger yacht, claiming they couldn't meet all requests for boat trips with Sirius - which I thought was rather a joke. Unimog and lift (plus the advertising column, of course) are looking great btw.
  7. Wow! Another fantastic RC bus from you! It's stuffed with Technic gear yet looks great. Plus I'm really amazed how nicely the servo motor is working. This is really top notch! I wish there was more sophisticated stuff like this in the Town forum. Btw. would that work in a 7w scheme, too?
  8. Yes, I've heard of that. But I guess it will normalize itself soon.
  9. Great, I like the Art Deco style! The interior is very nice, too.
  10. Looks nice, there are lots of great ideas in there! I especially love the rear section. You're really opening our eyes regarding scale,
  11. Thanks. Well, though I like the second batch more than the first, there aren't that many cars suitable for this kind of conversion. The rounded canopy works quite well with mid-engine cars, the "square" canopy doesn't look very good on 6w cars in my opinion, I'd rather build (and have already built) a Mustang with a 5w roof, same goes for the Camaro. Of course there's the Audi R18, but I'm no big Audi fan. However, I'm looking forward to the Porsche 917K, but that one I'd rather try to build in my usual 1/35 scale, that's why it might turn out a bit larger than the "City Champions". Anyway it must be set down as much as possible ... Too bad you can't buy them in Germany until now.
  12. These look really great indeed, proportions are much better. At this size it might be difficult to combine them with other Town scale vehicles, though. But for presentation purposes this is a much better solution, I guess. In fact I don't understand why they are using those large wheels on the Speed Champions cars. By using Town car wheels the cars would be considerably lower yet could fit a fig anyway. Plus 6w would be a matching width then.
  13. This reminds me of Lego Fire Museum's work on Mocpages, your Ahrens-Fox is quite similar to his build from 2010, see http://www.moc-pages...moc.php/227285. It's worth mentioning since you have borrowed some main characteristics of the original build. Thus I'd rather call this a MOD (modified build) than a MOC (own creation). In any case it's nice to name our inspirations and to set a link so that everybody may compare the original build and its recreation.
  14. Great Ferraris! I especially love the front of the F40 which makes it instantly recognizable. Would make a nice set, also the stickers would be official then. (In fact it looks ten times better than the Speed Champions Ferraris, as far as I'm concerned.) The 308 has some nice features, too, though I'm no fan of cut tubes. Regarding the wheels: What about using the Speed Champions hubcaps in combination with those fine newer City tires? I'm using those for my Ferraris, too. In my opinion this enhances the look very much.
  15. Just for the record: You don't need third party stuff at all to light up your city. There are the (somewhat pricy, I know) PF LEDs which can be even built into minifig scale vehicles plus those great old 9 Volt Light & Sound lamps which have a nice warm light and can also be used as police lights. All that might not be as bright as the Nonlego solutions, but well - Lego building is dealing with the imperfect, at least in my opinion. Some more ideas on Lego lighting (without any third party stuff) you may find in this Flickr album.
  16. Thanks! I would have thought it's a bit smaller, like 1:40 or 1:42. But 1:37,5 is a nice scale, also regarding the match with other vehicles.
  17. Looks great, it has a very special style to it. That outhouse is very nice, too. I also love the roof building technique, this looks like something very useful.
  18. Looks great! Nice to see a helicopter here, I'm always wondering why there are so few mocced aircraft and helicopters in the EB Town department ... I especially love those turbine exhausts. The construction of the 5-blade rotor looks quite sophisticated. Nice that it fits two pilots. Could you tell something about the exact scale of this?
  19. Very nice shaping and colour design - must have missed it when it was uploaded last August. Regarding the width the truth as often lies in between: 7 studs would be adequate here, I guess.
  20. Fantastic! Haven't seen such a great building for quite a while. The build is really stuffed with techniques, plus the whole thing has a very sophisticated structure. All those details are the icing (or should I say icicles) on the cake. The scene is very nice, too. What really impresses me is the effect of the snotted snow on the roof - looks much better than snow with studs in my opinion. Great job!
  21. Thanks for the pics! My favourites are: The Porsche 917. Of course, the whole thing must be set down as much as possible (the 917 is an extremely low car), and I have no idea how to build proper headlights yet. But the shaping is nice, especially at the rear, the canopy is fitting very well here, and there are those great stickers. The Hot Rod. It has a nice shaping to it, and the two-color design with that great flame sticker is a fine thing for moccing purposes. The Camaro Dragster. Proper headlights can be applied easily on this one, it seems. Also the proportions with the otherwise too narrow 4w roof are working - it's just a pumped-up Dragster with extended fenders. Apart from this, I like the shaping as such, it has a characteristic Camaro feel to it. The others aren't bad, too, but I have the impression that their design is characterized too much by the stickerwork (referring to stickers as a replacement for constructive elements like headlights or grilles). Proportions and overall size remain arguable. On the other hand there are quite a few nice shaping solutions on all of them. Anyhow, I'll have to buy the more expensive sets, I guess ...
  22. Thanks, glad you like them. - You're welcome.
  23. As already said on Flickr it looks even better than I have thought.
  24. Police Interceptor 2015 - Ford LTD Crown Victoria Cop Car 7w, 1/35 scale. Fits 2 police and their police caps behind them (impossible to keep the caps on in the car). 100% Lego. My original plans for this year's Police Interceptor didn't work out for some reasons - however, there had to be the annual cop car. That's why I took the MiB Ford Crown Victoria "P.O.S." (see http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=86746) and turned it into a police car. Great that we have that nice Simpsons cop car sticker now. I also changed quite a few aspects - the wheelbase wasn't quite right before, and I wanted to see if the.tall 6x3 windscreen could be useful on such a car, too. Guess it's working. Rear view: Seated figs: Chief Wiggum is confused: Thanks for looking!
  25. You're right, all this wouldn't happen in an official set - produced under the restrictions a Lego designer has to cope with (which are reasonable from a TLG point of view). However, we're no Lego designers (even if Ideas suggests something else). At least for me this is most of the fun of moccing - finding new ways to combine the parts to get a special shaping. However, I'm glad you like them anyway. Regarding tiles in clips: Seems to be "legal" (in terms of a Lego designer, not a moccer ) due to the groove at the bottom of a tile - other than plates. Thanks! Hopefully - too bad he isn't in the game anymore ... Glad you like them! The DB10 does look nice, however, I still prefer the old-fashioned rides ...
