  1. The opening mechanism is ingenious. Great job. You capture the look on the spot, altough the rearview mirrors seem a little large.
  2. Great review! Thanks for your effort providing us with so much information and fantastic photos. However, i'm not sure about buying one. Maybe if i find a good deal. I'll try to get the new parts from TLG customer service (worked great for the Volvo bucket) and build the rest from stock inventory. This set seems also to be predestined for MODs of all kind: 2nd compressor, pneumatic outrigger feet, maybe RC solution for driving and steering.
  3. Cool van! Great job on the body work. Esp. the white lines on the side. Maybe you should give a try to drive it without the tires? Just the wheels. I saw this on RC drift cars on an exihibition.
  4. An educated guess - I say tow truck.
  5. The Secret World of LEGO - can be viewed on youtube:
  6. Looks for D3Ks modular truck. Excellent MOC with suspension and great instructions.
  7. Have you tried TLG customer service? Give them a call. Try to find out the part number of the sticker sheet.
  8. Welcome back Madoca! Those MOCs a a great "I'm back" statement. The details on the SUV are superb. I love the glove compartment and the arm rest.
  9. Your camera work is outstanding. My jaw dropped on looking at your Cadmium Lowrider. Interessing and unusual color scheme, but it totally works for this MOC. Your camera dolly deserves its own topic. Could you provide some detailed photos of it? I'd like to built and mod it to fit an iPod Touch. Edit: Just found details on your flickr stream.
  10. Thanks for sharing your MOC. Your truck looks great. The low profile is cool. Could you do a video showing its performance? And thanks for providing instructions. I'll take look at it tonight.
  11. Looks cool. Reminds me of this apparatus skydivers train with and of the Event Horizon gravitation drive.
  12. I agree with arik, it will work, but it's not making a lot of sense. I recommend to place the compressor switch and an air tank right after the compressor. Than place the. diverting valves. Have one valve run a hose to a pneumatic power take off at the rear of your vehicle. Use a short piece of hose to bridge towards the trailer. On the trailer, place a valve just before an air tank in order to lock the air flow. This way, the air can be stored on the trailer. You would have some air even if the truck with the compressor is not attached. This would be like in real life, where some trailers have air tanks as well, but lack a compressor.
  13. This is a really nice creation. Would it be possible to decrease the speed even further? This would allow longer run times.
  14. I just watched it again. Would be even greater with some chrome pieces.
  15. This just made my day! Great work. Regarding the possible interference sunlight <-> IR - no problem in real life use - it's night active by nature.
  16. @ Kiwi_Builder Do you mean this part: BL 6571? It's on the way to become rare, since it went out of production last year. Or this: BL 15459 ?
  17. How long and how many batteries will it take you to clear the driveway this way?
  18. Thanks for sharing the video. Looks cool. Could you post pictures of your motorized dolly. That'd be great.
  19. Thank you very much for this outstanding review. You did an excellent job on visualising the several moduls and functions. Regarding the cost: I wonder if the regular technic tire (62.4x20) would work, res. what the truck would look like?
  20. @ Sariel I'm sorry to hear that. I bought your 1st book from NoStarch (hardcopy and eBook/PDF). I ever wondered why there was a PDF version downloadable when i did the purchase. It set no hurdles to pirating at all. However i did not share the electronic copies with my friend. I share the opinion that DRM won't help much. Tools for Mac and PC to get around this are just a few clicks away. Maybe a visible watermark to the electronically published books would appeal to some folks. Or you and your publisher should give it a try just to do hardcopies of your upcoming book. At last it is a shame AFOLs spending hundreds of bucks on bricks every year and not willing to spend any "change" on books and instructions. Well, i admire your works and the effort you put in it. I really hope you'll find a way that works out for you and your publisher.
  21. I just wanted to let you know that this is a really great MOC - fun to play with. Just before it'll be scraped for parts i want to contribute a few pics of my red version of Kevins forklift.
  22. My jaw refuses to go back up again. Stunning piece of work. The color scheme is on the spot. A new candidate for the HoF.
  23. I just watched your video and i'm impressed withe playability of your MOC. You put a lot of effort into those small things like the pallet fork and grabber. This makes it a great model. I second the motion for instructions. Pleeaaaaasssssseeee!
  24. Seems like i submitted my votes just in time last night before the voting topic closed. It was a tough decision. Congratulations to all the winners and contestants. It was an inspiring contest.
