[WIP] Mercedes G Wagon
TinkerBrick replied to Pat-Ard's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Great looks. You should make and apply some stickers either International Red Cross or United Nations. The white colour kind of asks for it. -
The cab is beautiful. Way better than the original one. And: We want instructions! We want instructions! Edit: Could you post your LDD files?

[WIP] Unimog 416
TinkerBrick replied to That_LEGO_Guy's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looks promising. Could you provide a closeup of your hub/portal axle. Does it have planetary gear reduction in the hubs? -
42009 XL-motor?
TinkerBrick replied to DarkShadow73's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The L-Motor provides plenty of power. An XL would be do no better. -
I just stumbled upon this on a Mac News site. This guy build a machine to repeatedly and continuously tap his iPad to keep a freemium game active. It seems as he is using a simple excenter wheel to lift and lower the tapping arm. I especially like the aluminum foil for providing conductivity for the touch. The iPad is set on old style tires and moved left and right. The builder uses this to earn the in-game currency overnight, so he can spend it in the morning not having to pay "hard" money. I think it's brilliant. Having twice the fun (Gaming & LEGO) and "screwing" those annoying needs to earn in-game currencies to make some progress in the game.

Shopping for Lego bargains ... in Berlin
TinkerBrick replied to DrJB's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Alhough i'm not from Berlin - i stumbled upon this ad a couple days ago. https://www.sadk-berlin.de It seems to be a store focused on our favorite brick manufacturer offering new and used sets and bricks. Another address could be the real,- Supermarkets. From time to time they offer interesting discounts. -
Looks great. Do you happen to have a short video? Can wait to built it - so i second the plead for instructions. The MKII ones were great.

@Alcatrax For parts (lift arms, gears, pins panels etc) go to BrickLink.com The electrics (power function motors, remotes, receivers.etc) Legos online store Shop@Home (lego.com) is the cheapest imo.

Gelandewagen Brabus 63
TinkerBrick replied to Nike 2101's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Great Job. The bodywork is fantastic. The wheels looks a bit small (diameter wise), unless you intended it to look like the chassis was lowered. -

@ Theo I don't know why this code didn't work. I found it on http://gutscheine.focus.de/gutscheine/karstadt It was the first option on the list. Maybe you should you try to redeem a new coupon from this website and give it another try. Worked for me. As orders from NL - store terms say no - only delivers and invoices to domestic german addresses. Bummer... -
