    Hej Christian I did some reading in between and learned a bit (lot actually). Yes, there's a difference between toe/caster and camber I still don't know - or see why - "all types of racing cars" have some sort of toe. What would be the benefit? I know what toe means, but why would the car (F1 or whatever) be set up with that)? MVH Ole

    Cool it and you won't get disappointed. No new fancy non IR/proper RC parts are coming. LEGO parts aren't up to that (they aren't even up to buggy motor standards - and that is rather poor in the RC world), so no - TLG is not gonna re-design the entire Technic range (with metal parts and bearings) so you can race your cars at +30MPH Chill with all that remote stuff, it's not what LEGO is about anyway. Pick up another hobby, if you want that. RC cars would be a good one I enjoy that a boatload Can't tell what I know, but I do now some folks here will get sorely disappointed with the 'big' sets Don't know jack about that "300USD IP car" btw .. the rest I did know.     I have not seen any F1 car with toe-in/out but only straight "toe". Do you have information to suggest anything different? If they do have a "toe", its' not something that actually visible (so it must 1-3 degrees), imho But then, I'm not an F1 driver I just like to watch a lot of races :) Cheers, Ole

    The 7750 large wheels we're also made in black allthough never found their way into any set I've only seen red pins on late sets like the 7745. Maybe TLG ran out of black pins or had a load of red ones? Do look a bit naff with the red pin on the black wheels for sure

    .. another thing : The first official pneumatic compressor No, it wasn't the 8868 in '92, it was the 8843 (very nice, imho) forklift's C-model (with 8700) in '84 : But yeah, it worked like crap (even with a removed spring and a more powerfull motor) I do love pneumatics V1 and use it a lot. Airtanks and motorized pumping is no good though. Manual strokes with the 64mms works like a charm as long as it's the strokes, not retraction, that's important! (<-- that sounds dirty, I know) Cheers, Ole

    Probably some of those awesome unrelased (Classic?) Space sets that's been shown here from time to time. I think it's quite a neat minifig and I've made a nice spaceship + base for him .. pics in due time You can handle it, I know

    But you forgot very light bluish grey Seriously, one thing is how the actual studio models look under real lightning and how they look in the movies. How the actual models look is not important as we're not suppose to see them anyway. It only maters how they look in the movies. Which would be easy to resolved if there wasn't so darn many versions of said movies Plus so many versions of said vehicles in those movies to boot ... Oh, Lucas what have you done! Cheers, Ole

    Hmm, not sure what you mean by that! They may "fit" into a technic hole, yes, but once you've got them braced up and cabled, they do take a bit more space. Proper motors works much better, imho And oddly enough, I got 30 mms for sale at BL So how about it "9v system", what is the actual state of your mm? Cheers, Ole

    Funny, this also how I fix my computer, tv, food, car, gf, my life and the entire world Stuck gears with these motors happen if you DON'T use the pulley (which has a build in clutch mechanisem), so if it's stuck do the "allanp", it might do the trick! Do that before you open it up, because once you've opened it up, it'll take a proper ninja to put it back together Cheers, Ole

    Or very light tan .. studio models don't match the (very different) movie versions so we can argue until the cows come home (and this is not a new debate as I've pointed out, it's been going on in the model making community for +30 years with no resolution so far) LIGHT BLUISH GREY mixed with dark red/dark bluish grey/bits of tan is the proper way for TLG to do an MF until that elusive VERY light bluish grey becomes a common colour This is the way the MF has looked in all the movies we'we seen so far. It _may_ have been pristine white way before ANH (or even THP) but we do not know .. Unless someone has a sale brochure from CEC featuring the YT-1300 from way back then Cheers, Ole

    They're very difficult to work on, but I have fixed a few. Mostly just for the sport of it as the time it takes is definitely not worth it As long as you never stall them WITHOUT the pulley or overvoltage them, the do not seem to go bad, despite what you can read online.     That's an urban myth. Some of the pieces in those sets only appeared in those sets TC/TT is more like ideas from IDEA books turned into actual sets ..

    That "guy" is Anio, a wellknown member here (and a LEGO ambassador to boot) .. I'm sure if had pics he would not share them TLG has kept a very tight lid on leaks this time (inbcluding their server, haha) and this is how they're gonna roll in the future as far as I know.     There's not much point in wiring those in parallel as that 9V battery hasn't got much juice (amps) at all and they have quite different dischargerates which means they voltage might not equalize and you will be feeding voltage into the 9V battery. Not good! It's a good idea only to put batteries in parallel that is of the same make/size and perhaps use balancing resistors as well If you just want to increase running time with two battery boxes there's no need to put them in parallel, just swap the cable when one is flat
