  1. 2,4GHz does not need conventional antennas
  2. That license would probably be free. I doubt Krupp will see a signicant rise in 288 sales just because of a toy. It's not something you accidently buy while being drunk late night on the internet Some trust fund kid might buy a Porsche that way though
  3. TLG should make a superpack with one of the small creator machines This might fit the buckets :
  4. Too bad TLG has stopped using rigid hoses (even if they still produce them). It looks so messy! Well, at least they're not using the blue ones on the arm Looks like a new pump
  5. TLG messed up, it shoudln't have been a dumper but a dozer instead
  6. Black car with black chassis and black interior is very Batman. Not very exiting. A classic coulor would be silver metallic but that is hopefully not gonna happen It be hilarious if TLG misunderstood that razzle dazzle camouflage and thought it was some kinda hip new thing that Porche is using on their cars now
  7. What I like about these sets is that they seem to have a bunch of "system parts" (what I call normal LEGO) to enhance the realism of them. That is nice as there's only so much panels/flexaxles can do Cheers, Ole
  8. There are many mining trucks, not all have to be 797's ;) Since the cabin uses a bunch of system parts maybe the 4202 would be better? It would be cool if TLG included a minifig with this set But yes, no need to actually include a mining truck if it's just the yellow one in white. Just give hints in the instructions that this particular model fits = more profit
  9. No, beacause of black helicoptors and such .. Really, I don't know anything more. Only that it is a 'special project' for TLG I might just let go of my liftarm dislike and buy this darn thing Yeah, if they got that license for that particular model, it has to be faithfull, so no 4WD or V8 or popping headlights. Might be some flickfire misslies though
  10. No, the dishes are pushed way back on the tractor, not possible with the Porsche's wheels
  11. No orange on the actual Volvo. Why did Volvo okay this? It's just a few parts, not actual working/important parts. TLG, if you ran out of black parts, I'll send them for free
  12. But it's more fun to build the 8865 than the 8070! (144 peices one page with the 8865) Off course that means you can't have a beer while doing it. Hmm, maybe I prefer the dummies version also ..
  13. OMG, look at all those 3062b!!!! It's gonna be a treasure trove just for that I wonder if those new rack arches could be used with the normal racks to make a Technic/PF based monorail? Cheers, Ole
  14. Well, that's because you have to model it/GIF it for technicopedia
  15. I actually expect this to come with a ring-bound instruction with loads of actual pics of the Porsche (like SW and Architecture) (But yes, one page for every freaking pin inserted, sigh) This IS the UCS that you've all been asking for!
  16. Since TLG got the Porsche license they can make this : A win-win situation for GroundskeeperWillie (I actually own this as an RC vehicle from Tamiya, hehe)
  17. I've been told from my Billund source that this will contain a lot of new parts never seen before. I also think the "Porsche" license is not cheap (I know this from the RC world) so that ads up to the price. Volvo is probably thrilled about the TLG sets and I don't think that cost much, if anything. It's a win-win for both parties. Porsche is in a different league This is a 100% AFOL set. support it and you might see more. If not, the beancounters at TLG puts down the hammer Cheers, Ole
  18. So, don't say TLG does not read EB - or listens to AFOLs These are ALL pretty much directed to grown ups (with a kid inside, sure), especially the Porsche which will be quite special, just wait and see .. What did you want? Something not seen before, supercars, +4k parts, large turntable, bigger pneumatic actuators, sets close to their original counterparts, license etc ... you got it now So, if there's much rejoicing and little "that SUCKS!" TLG might continue down this very path in the future Now, if they would just do the same with trains, sigh .. Cheers, Ole
  19. Waste of time. TLG will not do this and this comes straight from one of their designers ;) But I can see you've found the light, I mean efferman Cheers, Ole
  20. No regular City trains this year, sorry
  21. This seem like a halfbaked idea. Please read this thread, there are several important issues being discussed : http://www.bricklink...e.asp?ID=965813 Pics are not showing as EB is not a file hosting site. Use flickr etc Let's look at some numbers then : The average price sold on BL is in the last six months is 22EUR and 250 was sold in six months, about 40 each month. That is not a lot. There's ebay too but I reckon most spare tracks are bought at BL Even if you can sell them at 5EUR each and you'd reach every monorail buying person on the planet (and they'd be willing to use non-LEGO parts) it will still take many years to see a dime This does not sound like a good plan Much better to 3D it and make a file you can use at shapeways etc. Might still be pricy but it will get cheaper in the future Then you can also do new interesting tracks, like the never released cross track :) Cheers, Ole
  22. I wonder what size Unkar Plutt will be? He's clearly bigger than minfig size, but still smaller than bigfigs like the LOTR/Castle monsters ... might he use parts from the new NEXO line? Cheers, Ole
  23. Quoting you again, sorry .. So, you say the driver can ask the engineering team to alter the toe angle? And that angle is probably way to small to notice on a telly, right? Hmm. okay .. I did knew they could do that Back to that 8440 review then Still, it's a darn nice car, While not up to Technic standards, it's a proper Model Team for sure Cheers, Ole
