  1. Kurkar, Master of Stone Held in high regard by the villagers he protects, Kurkar is an incredibly presumptuous Toa, who holds a lot of self-pride. Kurkar’s unique swords can be used both traditionally, or thrown in a fashion which traps an enemy against a wall. Kurkar’s Mask of Illumination allows him to dazzle his foes during battle, and also illuminate dark places. Front Front, 3/4 Angle Back Skeleton, Front Skeleton, Back Shoulder plating structure Foot filling Casual Apologies for the lacklustre photography, I rushed taking this pictures.
  2. (Ok first off I'm terrible with naming characters, these guys sound like pokemon! ) Anyway this is a project I've wanted to do for a while, but because of exams I couldn't even start on it until yesterday! Essentially I wanted to make a toa of magnetism, but then one of my friends suggested I make 2 of them to account for the opposite poles. And so Charpai and Toraros were born! Charpai controls the attraction forces of magnetism and Toraros controls the repulsion. But then I had the idea of taking these guys a step further by giving them a new form... Polarus! A shot showing the two components, and how they are connected Tahu for size... Thanks for looking . Does Polarus stack up? Comments and Criticisms welcome!
  3. Good evening fellowe action figure guys, here's the latest Bionicle creations of mine, Toa Nautilda: Toa Nautilda is a toa of water and protector of Ruki-Koro, a fishing village at the south-west coast of the island of Bio-Klaani. She used to work with Toa Ursanga, who later left the village to move north. Nautilda is tall and strong all-out attacker, in opposite to "agile martial arts master" toa of water trope. She has a heavy trident, sharpened flippers, seashell helmet for serious head-butting and a array of knives that also work as a rudders when swimming. There are more photos and talk on Cyclopic Bricks.
  4. Thanks to some Bricklink orders that arrived today I can now show off my mods for the 2015 Toa One thing to mention with all of them except Onua. I built a custom torso since I didn't like the exposed ball joints on Tahu, Pohatu, Gali and Lewa. I didn't with Onua cause of his large chest piece. I won't show how its built until LDD updates. Till then feel free to guess how I built it. Also they all have silver armor save for Tahu and Kopaka's chest plates. I hope in later waves we get Silver Red or White printed chests for Tahu and Kopaka. Gallery when public http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=554632 Tahu I shortened his legs and change his feet from silver to red. Swapped out chest armor for Breakout version. I might change his eyes to orange once I get the summer sets. 5. Hello folks! Many people feel disappointed seeing newest incarnation of ToaTahu. Well, I can agree that some details could be made in better way (like arms) but overall I think he's a good set. Not perfect but good. Anyway I decided to give new Bionicle a chance and I bought Tahu. When I finally built him I felt that something is wrong with design - and I slowly began to improve him. And you know what? I really ejnoy this moment! So, here it is. My newest Tahu remake. Brickshelf (no collages) | DeviantArt| Flickr | Blog Don't worry if you feel that pictures are too small. If you go to my flickr/DA gallery (depending on what's your favourite) you should be able to see larger images. If you don't like collages - don't worry, you can still go to my Brickshelf gallery. I'm going to make a short video-presentation but I don't know when I'll finish it. Some details: As you can see his legs are now armoured not only from front but from behind too. I'm not sure about the side-panels but I'm afraid I don't have enough HF red parts. I decided to change his original hands into something a bit different. I came up with some new patents but finally I decided to use something simillar to MrBoltTron's concept because it looks much better. And yeah, he can hold his swords in hands! Last thing in this photo which I mention is armour which covers his gears. Don't worry, you can still rotate them (and arms) but more armour means reduced mobility. Fortunately on acceptable level :) Tahu can hold his swords on his back. The only disadvatage is that he's leaning little backwards but hey - these swords are little heavy! Anyway, for me it's still ok. Original model has a golden mask which makes Tahu more powerful. I made a collage with it: Still looks ok but I'm not sure if red one is better. You see, this construction has many golden parts (probably too much) and it needs some reds for contrast. And - what do you think about using this golden mask for Jaller remake creation? ;) Some extras: "Meet my new pet": Some of you may be wondering - what's happen to Tahu's surfing board? Well, I had so many pictures to process that I totally forgot about this :/ Anyway I hope you enjoyed my creation. And if you like you can ask me about it - I'll try my best to answer all your questions :) Best regards, ~ QQS EDIT Lava Board update:

Vahi, the Protector of Time, who used to guard the legendary Mask of Time found a suit of armor from a past time which granted him immense power. He dubbed it, "Tengen Toppa Goruden Toa" which means "Heaven-Piercing Golden Warrior" in the ancient Okotese language. He has since left the Mask of Time in the hands of other Protectors and left Okoto to pierce his fate and save a universe trapped in an endless cycle of violence. His last words to the Protector of Fire, who questioned his decision were, "Of course I must leave! Who the Karzahni do you think I am? Mine are the spear, flamethrower and blaster that will pierce the heavens and fined the mythical being Mata Nui. Farewell, brother. Do not believe in the Vahi that believes in you, or the you that believes in Vahi, but the you that believes in you." After that, the other Protectors never saw Vahi again, though they can sometimes hear the sound his finishing move, Giga Spear Slash.
  7. Deep in the tunnels of Mata Nui is Gro Wahi, the domain of the 8th Toa, Toa Nuvi Groosi, Toa of Trash. He wears the Kinko, the mask of finding. 8. "When Kopaka, Gali, and Lewa unite their powers and forms, they become the mighty Wairuha! With the strength and wisdom of three Toa, Wairuha is ready to protect Okoto from whatever threats it may face!" After building my own Toa Kaita Wairuha with the 2015 Toa last year, I was eager to give it another crack with the 2016 versions. Surprisingly, this year's Wairuha turned out even better, even considering difficult-to-use parts like the new torso armor! Of course, I doubt Akamai will work out nearly as well... but then, he didn't last year, either. This model uses only the parts from the three component Toa (not including their respective creatures). I'd love to try and build a Creature Kaita to go with this, but so far the even more limited parts selection has made that challenging. Pose 2 Pose 3 Front View Back View Weapons EDIT: Finished "Creature Kaita"! "Uxar, Akida, and Melum combine their forms and powers to form Haikara, the Great Creature of Wisdom! With the strength and wisdom of three elemental creatures, Haikara is ready to assist Wairuha in the battle against evil!" I finally succeeded at creating a "Creature Kaita" to go with Wairuha! This model not only manages to make good use of the parts from the three creatures, but also packs in some impressive functionality and augments Wairuha well when united. Back View United, Back View EDIT 2: Instructions for Wairuha are complete! Instructions for Haikara are coming soon! EDIT 3: Instructions for Haikara are finished as well!
  9. Rixec by ArtieStroke by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Rixec is an OC Toa of Psionics that belongs to a Tumblr user ArtieStroke. I have made this MOC by their request. Here's their drawing of Rixec that I was using as a reference: http://i.imgur.com/Az4cU2N.png

  11. / Imgur gallery Flickr gallery Once a defender of good, Chro felt disillusioned with his cause, and defected to the shadows, realizing his errors too late. Chro has fallen a long way, and he knows it - the Toa sometimes feels uncomfortable with his choice, but hides this beneath a façade of arrogance. His old cunning nature still remains, if tempered by his experiences. A tactical combatant, Chro would rather fight than run, but knows the right time to do either. He attacks with swift and sure strikes, occasionally faltering only when trying to contain the power of his own dark side. My first newly-built MOC for the BFGM, and a fresh version of my self-MOC/character, Chro. I know that the backstory and appearance of the MOC are highly generic. That was intentional. I feel as though "the biggest, baddest villain" is a theme that lends itself more to somewhat generically-themed villains rather than exceptionally unique ones. Feedback is appreciated
  12. To call Salvus a Toa would be to call makuta your best friend. He has long since forsaken the Toa code, abandoning his Toa powers and relying solely on his weapons, he sees the Toa and even Mata Nui himself(!) as flawed, as they have allowed corruption to taint the universe. The solution? Salvus. He will do whatever is required to achieve his goal: the destruction of all who he sees as a threat to universal harmony. Salvus dosn't care for the havoc he recks on his "missions". A few dozen Matoran caught in the crossfire? Irrelevant. A village reduced to a smoldering ruin? They can rebuild it. So long as it gets him one step closer to his goal, Salvus dosnt make a fuss over the details. Apologies for the low res image, every high res one I took was too big

  15. Do we have images of the prototypes of the Toa Mistika that were supposedly closer to the 2002 Toa Nuva?
  16. CLICK IMAGE ABOVE TO VIEW FLICKR GALLERY This Toa of Fire hails from a primitive and peaceful tribe of Matoran living in the wilderness. His bone-adorned armor and fang-fingered gauntlets may appear sinister, but Baruka is actually a naive and valiant warrior with a pure heart. The custom-painted Kakama was made by MrCod of Modalt Masks. Feedback is appreciated.
  17. Mata Nui left his children to fend for themselves in a new and dangerous world. The plot is set hundreds of years in the future. The Toa mata are now the only remaining guardians of the matoran. The mysterious Skull Krata horde from bota magna has driven all living creatures back behind the great wall while killing most of the other characters. The Toa, now masters of their elements have fashioned an army of Protectors that help them keep the matoran safe, The circular wall is split into six elemental sections, each one guarded by a Toa. Legend tells of a Mask of Creation, the Toa realize that they have a chance to create a world safe for the matoran to live in. They venture forth to find the Mask, their conquest takes them out into the wild unknown of spherus magna. The quest for each Toa's golden konohi would help lead them to the location of the Mask of Creation. Upon completing their individual quests the Toa reunite and combine their golden mask powers to find the location of the Temple of Creation. The masters each gather their army of Protectors and march for a final confrontation with the Skull Krata at the Temple of Creation that will decide the worlds fate. In the final battle against the Skull Krata horde, the Toa truly show their heroic nature, fighting for the fate of spherus magna. Their armies are exhausted and the heroes begin to fall one by one. As each Toa falls their final act brings their brothers closer to their goal. Gali falls defending Tahu from a fatal blow, then Onua perishes lifting the gate to the Temple of Creation. Tahu rushes forward in blind wrath, leaving his team behind. Pohatu falls trying to reach Tahu and talk reason into him. Kopaka is moved at the death of his friend but the ice Toa resolutely sets himself to the final task. Tahu has battled far ahead towards the the Temple’s center with his power of shielding, burning his way toward his goal. There are several masks of Creation on pedestals. Only one leads to life while the rest to death. Tahu cannot tell which is the real one. Kopaka uses his Akaku to spot the fakes. Lewa and Kopaka are surrounded and begin to take hits from all sides. Before they are overrun, Lewa uses his power of air and levitation to send Kopaka hurtling towards Tahu. Kopaka lands and uses the fury of his ice storm to clear a path for Tahu, telling his leader which mask to grab. Kopaka dies nobly battling back the horde as Tahu rushes up the final steps to the Mask. Tahu reaches the Mask of Creation and dons it, becoming the most powerful being in the universe. He rids spherus magna of the Skull Krata threat then sets his fallen brothers and sister in the stars as the new guardians of the matoran. He explains to the chronicler (Whatever matoran character that is the main this season), that the Toa Mata will forever guard the matoran and grant the power of the Toa to 6 new worthy matoran to continue on their legacy. Tahu turns and joins his friends in the stars forming a new constellation. Their constellation is in the shape of the unity duty destiny symbol. Thus the Toa Mata’s mission is complete from a certain point of view as they collectively become a new Mata Nui for all of creation. The season ends as the great spirits reappear in their respective villages before 6 young matoran, beginning a new saga of Bionicle. This is how I would write the Bionicle plot if I could. I hope you guys like it. Alex South
  18. So, it's been mentioned that originally, the heroes for 2008's storyline were going to be the Toa Mahri in new bodies. Do you think the Toa sets would've been any different if they had been designing them with the Mahri in mind, or maybe that the Phantoka/Mistika are more suited to be the Mahri?

  23. Hi guys ! Here's my latest MOC ! It's a Toa of Gravity, called Kokama. Nothing too fancy for the design, I tried to keep things simple, my main goal was to build something with my recently bought purple parts. Brickshelf / MOCPage What do you think ? C&C are greatly appreciated !

  25. - Last year I became re-fanatic with the early lines of BIONICLES 2001–2003. I reread and looked at all the magazines, comics, books (especially Makuta’s guide to the universe) that I had about them. I went up online to scour YouTube for reviews of several sets from those lines—I was especially fond of the Rahi ones. I planned to set on a mission to collect all sets from those lines—a mission I have yet to start. I then came across a website where I can replay all web games and videos, that a while ago, were once on Lego.com—good times… It has always been 2001 through 2003 for me—those will forever be my favorite lines… - 2015, now we have, what I jokingly term, “HERONICLES,” because personally they are HERO FACTORY literally masked with BIONICLES. Personally, they are respectable—especially since Lego brought the whole theme back, because prior to any release of confidential information about the return, I question why would they discontinue a beloved thing in the first place (not to put blame on their later lines *cough* “Stars”—but it did introduce the new Hau mold). The products though, are not what I anticipated. I remember when my brother told me images of the new sets were surfacing on the internet, when I found some decent images of them, I was hoping they were prototypes, fan made, or something! Where’s the sophistication? Where’s the skeletal-esque figure under all that excessive clad of armor plates? - I wasn’t not at all too fond of the new color scheme, well because I was looking for something more of the original Toa Mata (you know, orange, light/dark gray, tan, lime, etc.). It kinda reminds me of the Knights’ Kingdom figures when they attained new, shiny, armor—more armor is not always best option to make things look more invigorating! Then the masks, I will just say I like Pohatu & Kopaka’s most, but then again, for all of them, I wish they went with some of the earlier designs from their concept art, which resembles more of their originals. The gear feature is an enjoyable feature, but that reminiscence of that mechanical incarnation that the earliest years of BIONICLES simulated is quite loss under the clad of armor and the simplistic part alternatives. - But oh well! I did not come here to bring up a rememberable past or to gripe about change… umm… or have I already? Besides, isn’t it why most of us or even a reason why EB is here today, because we’re not completely satisfied with the entirety of Lego’s products? Well, somewhere down the line of rediscovering old things and discovering new things, I was tinkering with a red and medium blue Matoran torsos. I flipped the torsos sideways, in a clockwise manner, held them together in the form of a new torso, and pondered, “Hey this resembles the torso of a spartan soldier from the Halo series!” - Well I haven’t made any Spartans yet, but I had this astonishing idea to re-imagine Toa Mata Tahu with greater sophistication and stature, but minus the swivel arm action. In addition In tribute to the pristine era of Bionicles, I remain genuine to the original color scheme our favorite red, hotheaded Toa dons, but to also, the certain colors axles and pins were available at the time. Indeed, that is dedication. In most cases you will find deliberate uses of black Technic axles, light grey & black pins(w)axles, light grey Technic bushes, light grey gears, original Technic ball joints, etc. - On Tahu, I happen to use a few System elements for the hand and sword, as well a couple of minifigure arms & hands for thumbs—but that is all! Additionally, something that not so pure, is that I modified a Technic pin connector by which connects the ball joint on the chest. I as well permeated the axle connector of the head with super, so I could lodge mask(s) in a fixed position, since the head cannot actually accommodate the small mask. - To top it off, I wanted to come up with a term in BIONICLES that meant revamped. I had somewhat of a list for possible names to choose from, then I finally settled on the one that sounded and looked BIONICLE-ish enough: "Owihou." It is completely my fiction and I guarantee you will be "without" any chance of finding anything related to it on the internet. Enjoy!
