What next vintage set could be recreated by TLG ?
Lion King replied to Khargeust's topic in General LEGO Discussion
But we have City, Creator 3-in-1 and Icons sub-theme, Modular Buildings Collection, so I don’t feel like TLG would do classic town. Hwver, I prefer normal road baseplates rather than new plate ones. It wll be easy for Modular Buildings. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Lion King replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I had built Police Station in April, Botique Hotel in June, Jazz Club in August. Currently, I’m working on Bookshop and Downtown Diner. I will move on to Corner Garage after two diner and bookshop. I don’t want to go for the older sets since they are super expensive in secondary market…. I managed to snag Downtown Diner and Corner Garage at a (kinda) decent price I could find. So…. Yeah I’m a new collector and i am catching up with Modular Buildings Collection! But I’m not sure about Assembly Square… I mean, the next modular set has a same price tag and (almost) piece counts as Assembly Square. Assembly Square will be retired by end of this year while the next Modular building will be available on October 27th for pre-order. Since I don’t count on the so-called teaser video, I will wait until we get some leaked info. TLG is very good at shrouding the modular building with veils of mystery. -

Speaking of Year of the Dragon…. I am curious to see a new dragon mask. The existing dragon mask from Series 18 and 23 is basically European rather than Asian. -

Dumbledore Forever, Michael… :( -
I know they tend to release one Modula Building per year but I don’t like waiting for another 12 months after the release. What if they release 32x32 buildin in January and a smaller, cheap 16x32 building in summer? Sure, it is unlikely but I think it’s cool to have a small modular building just like Bookshop set that has two 16x32 baseplates. More fun and easy to arrange around your city! Ideally, it wold be between $70 - $150 for a 16x32 building with two or three floors. Okay, here is my wishlist for 16x32 buildings… 1.) Apartment Building (different archeictures, differnet styles) 2.) Townhouse (same for Apartment above) 3.) Doctor’s Clinic 4.) Psychologist’s Office 5.) Bowling Alley 6.) Park (with sculptures and a small duck pond) 7.) Daycare 8.) Cemetry (Yeah, yeah it’s not likely for Modulars but so what? It’s cool to have cemetry for Hallowe’en with some ghosts!) 9.) Fortune Teller’s Shop 10.) Jewelry Shop 11.) Antique Shop 12.) Townhouse with Alleyway 13.) Pharmacy 14.) Bar (again, yeah yeah, not likely but we have alcohol in both Boutique Hotel and Jazz Club) 15.) Haunted/Rundown House (with ghosts!) 16.) Post Office 19.) Noodle Shop (with apartment above and delivery bike) 20.) Laundmot (we need more laundmot as city is getting bigger with overpopulation LOL) 21.) Travel Agency 22.) Insurance Office WHEW, my brain was so full of ideas….

Meh it looks boring to me. It’s becuase you visited Times Square that often, which it’s incredibly boring to you… Eh, Gateway Arch is pretty impossible to make if it requires stablility. I guess it will not be impossible if it’s a BIG and stble set. I’m okay with getting one set in 2023. :)

What next vintage set could be recreated by TLG ?
Lion King replied to Khargeust's topic in General LEGO Discussion
And I double-seconded that! I love sets that set in time periods (Middle Age for Castle, Pirate Age for pirates, 19th century for Western, etc.). I don’t care if they are not accurate historically tho, I just want minifigure parts and some cool printed pieces!
