New leak says 40912 Sea Serpent will be available from july 7-12 during LEGO Insiders days. Threshold to be defined. Insiders will also feature more promo, sales, and 2X / 4X on select sets. Still no information on the set itself othewise...

I forgot one additional flaw : the original 6057 Se Serpent gave us five minifigs : 3 Black Knights and 2 Black Falcons. There is no way we would have this number from the remake and I'm sad. Maybe two BK ?

To do justice to the original, four new prints would be needed at least : the flag, the two shields, and a new torso for the Black Knights chain mail. And of course, a fabric sail with a print. It's huge ! The only reason this would happen is if a large Black Knights set is planned for release soon, as they would then have the budget for all these new prints. Unfortunately, I fear the cheap option will win out, and we'll end up with a cut-rate remake like 40601 Majisto's Magical Workshop that has one new print, no new molds for feathers and headgear, and several stickers... Although I would like sets featuring the new factions, I also think an update to the set with no Black Knights would be heresy in my opinion. This is a tribute set based on nostalgia. In any case, the Black Knights' comeback is eagerly awaited, and it's hard to see how they couldn't bring them back soon with the reimagining of a black castle!

No interest in this set here ? As a fan of classic themes, this is one of the very few sets I'm looking forward to this year and will spend money on, along with the 3-in-1 pirate ship and the new haunted house (if it's well done) that will come in september.

I hope we get news quickly about the Sea Serpent GWP remake. Stonewars website signals it will launch in july.

Still no leaks for 2026... I can't accept nothing is planned (and the 6057 Sea Serpent remake as GWP does not count).

I have high hopes for the recreation of a Black Knights castle to follow up the soon-to-be-disappeared LKC. The Sea Serpent remake, likely coming out next year, would make a perfect GWP! Black Knights are the only classic faction that hasn't been remade yet, despite a redefined crest in the set's instruction booklet (the only one of all that has not yet had a reboot by the way). For Pirates we definitely need a new version of an imperial ship or a remake of the Skull's Eye Schooner. Or the comeback of the islanders ? But it may be too niche. About Space, I would take it all ; as long as it's done well, focused on play features and without stickers !

"Upscaled" ? Does it mean that it would not be in the same style as the red and white classic spacemen from the 10497 Galaxy Explorer ?

Any ideas for 2026 ?

It will be cheaper soon in the distributors. I can already see some selling it for 65€ here in France. And it's true, too much licenced and display stuff. It's less and less the LEGO I knew and loved : original, playable and creative. I'm only buying the classic lego inspired themes. This year I got 2x 10355, 1x 21358 and 1x 21343 (and wolfpack beastmaster from cmf of january). I will get multiple 31167 and 31168 with good deals in good time and it will be "all" for me in 2025.

Almost the same selection for me, but I put 10320 Eldorado Fortress instead of the Blacktron Cruiser. It has stickers and it is forgettable with the Renegade around in my opinion. And if I had to consider a GWP in this vote I would have take 40567 Forest Hideout. Also I went full classic era revival themes because it is what I love the most and what I would like to see more in the future, so I excluded licenced themes otherwise I would have chosen 10316 Rivendell and 21348 D&D : Red Dragon's Tale.

What can we expect from the license? A new CMF? New sets? Or was it just a one-off?
