  1. This is most certainly not "another trophy truck". I'm tempted to say it has the best suspension setup of any Lego trophy truck I've ever seen. Great performance and looks. Maybe you could add custom stickers to give it a slightly more trophy truck look?
  2. Reminds me of a hotwheels car I had as a kid that was built around a golden toilet. Maybe you could make one of those to go with the bathtub dragster. And a sink and mirror to complete the series!
  3. I'm not going to pretend to have a comprehensive knowledge on this. If the website says something and the physical product says another thing, I think there's something wrong. However, I have never personally had an issue with the battery not lasting long enough, so I'm not really mad.
  4. I just opened a buwizz 3.0 that I received under a month ago, and inside it is an 800mah battery that is identical to the one in Sariel's video. Sorry for the vertical photo, apparently my phone didn't correct the rotation.
  5. I mean, all the cool supercars have carbon tub chassis.. right? So a bathtub isnt so far off!
  6. is that... built around a single bathtub piece... ? i love it.
  7. On this, you could add a 5m half liftarm with cross axle ends to go behind the back of the cv joint so that that half bush also helps hold it in.
  8. Whats going on with the angle of the front steering links on flat baja 2? Also, Ruslan baja-truck looks really cool.
  9. I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned, but why 2 PF connector points and only 2 studs? That would mean you could only use 2 motors, right? I would think you would need 2 studs per PF connector...
  10. I actually agree with supporting non TLG companies, since they have been increasing their quality recently, and Lego actually having competition would be and has proven a good thing - look at the space sets.
  11. Good solution to your problem. However, have you heard of brickcontroller 2? it allows you to use a gamepad as a remote. From my experience the stepper motor function doesnt work in it, so maybe it wont be great for the gearbox thing, but everything else works fine, especially the steering calibration, you can add an offset to account for imperfections. Also, if you're having problems with the center steer module in the Buwizz app, try remaking the profile. As for the gearbox module, it assumes steps of 90 degrees for the wave selector, and it requires physical limits to work as intended. As in, you need to stop the axle that controls gearbox shifting from rotating continuously. Hope this helps
  12. isnt it just weirder tatra suspension? cool build nonetheless. it seems to perform well in the jumps which was a bit of a surprise to me
  13. that looks awesome. if you build it for real, will you use metal U joints? and where does the buwizz unit go?
  14. another thing, add some tape around the steering ball on the hubs. i found it really helps stop the links popping off, if you have trouble with that.
  15. theres probably avoidable play in the steering from the 8t gears. also, did you encounter any issues with the 16t gears at the back skipping? otherwise nice build, very compact
  16. upon looking on their website, cada no longer sells metal U joints for US$1. this is a shame. does anyone know somewhere that still sells them?
  17. wow, thats an awesome build. great attention to detail. can we expect a video?
  18. something i had thought about, maybe we wont see a 1:8 supercar this year. they no longer offer anything that regular 1:10 and 1:12 cars dont in terms of functions, unless you count the big gearbox that has no functional use. and as for looks, the smaller scales seem to do just as well, with a wider market because of the lower price. thats just my thinking though.
  19. nice work. i particularly like the front grill. did you preserve the suspension?
  20. could it be your controller is old? or latency between controller and phone and phone to model? sometimes i get high latency for short periods of time, though i am using buwizz 3 usually, i think its just due to whats involved with connecting 3 devices. you could try a controller tester to see if the controller is outputting signals when it ought not to be
  21. Jernej and I were discussing that part. we thought it might be used for the wheel bearing or something structural. otherwise theres no need for a new element, its an easy shape to make from existing pieces, unless for strength, or to use all pin holes.
  22. buwizz 3.0 doesnt actually use slow normal high or ludicrous mode. its always in the equivalent of ludicrous
  23. weirdly tempts me to make some tiny drift car with pink tires. anyone else?
  24. the suspension on the big crew ship isnt so simple. as for too childish functions, perhaps, but we grow old because we stop playing, not the other way round :)
