  1. I would like to take part in this. Also, perhaps 36 hours would make it fair so everyone can get "a day".
  2. Or just put motors in it from the get-go...
  3. Probably quite a while since that axle isnt really experiencing anything that could make it break, unless you accidentally run one of the motors the wrong way around. Theres other weak points that would break first like the diffs or cv joints.
  4. Looks awesome. I'm a huge fan of the greyhound, and it looks like you've done it again! Im excited to perhaps build it, it looks really sturdy.
  5. I'll be waiting to buy just the tires and potentially the rim covers. Its a shame TLG didnt add anything more unique to this, and IMO this set is meant for collectors and displayers more than builders. The tires almost make it tempting, but then everything else is fairly uninteresting. A daytona diff in the rear might have helped it sell more as a parts pack.
  6. Well, it doesnt need 4 motors... but the bodywork was pretty heavy and I wanted to see what I could get away with. As for the internal pillars, I usually always have those so that I can pick the model up by the roof, so yes, they're structurally vital. The external pillars are completely optional and can be removed. Thank you everybody for your praise!
  7. Thank you! Thanks! And yeahh it melted the axle between the diffs driving gear and the U joint this evening. Finally an excuse to take it apart, I've been waiting all day!

  9. We'll have to wait and see how different it is from the Porsche orange. It could be
  10. Really cool! Those stickers rock.
  11. Inspired primarily by the Opel Manta 400, I've made my own RWD rally car. It features independent front suspension, and a rear live axle using the big ball joint and a metal U-Joint. Its propelled by 4 buwizz motors and steered by one C+ L motor. Some late WIP photos Earlier WIP photos Problems Because of the narrow wheelbase and relatively high center of mass due to high up buwizz units, the model easily rolls when driving at high speed and cornering. I was lazy with the design of the suspension; the front is too soft and the steering is inaccurate because I am using Instead of the newer parts with longer arms for steering links. This allowed me to fit the wheels inside the body, though. The rear suspension is too hard primarily because I got lazy and wanted it done, after about 8 hours on the model I was getting bored. The bodywork has some parts that could be white if I had the parts in white, but those parts are quite small. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. As of right now I still have the model assembled. Thank you for reading.
  12. Looks cool! Nice work! The 3 seats thing is interesting, I think I've seen it in some real cars.
  13. In my experiences, those wheels are a struggle to turn without gearing with 4 buggy motors. I built a 4 buwizz motor vehicle using the same diameter wheels and the slow outputs and ran into issues with torque because of the weight and wheel size. Looks fun though :)
  14. Im messing around with a 6x6 for fun, and I have the choice of batteries over the front axle for a better max climbing angle or batteries evenly distributed, giving better rear wheel traction but probably worse max climbing angle. Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome and appreciated!
  15. Something I just noticed, the buwizz units may come loose as you drive, since nothing is stopping them moving. Looking forward to seeing it in action!
  16. Ive had similar issues but it helps me to be in areas with low interference and keep the phone and the controller close together. Could just be that, for you.
  17. You could probably use buwizz 2.0 instead since its lighter, if you have it. Each one of those is capable of powering a buggy motor. Though if you only have buwizz 3, thats a good solution. I like it a lot :) Did you do any top speed tests?
  18. Why the bigger wheel hubs? Otherwise everything looks pretty solid.
  19. Interesting, I would have expected higher. I guess the MK 4 port unit doesnt give enough power to each motor, and the smaller wheels are probably limiting you.
  20. I'm not 100% sure about this, im just guessing, but there probably is generic controller support. They have just tested those specific controllers and verified that they work, so they can be sure saying that those controllers work with the app, but not a generic controller. In some videos zerobricks uses a generic controller with a phone mount on top (I think its not main branded, anyway).
  21. Looks really good. Im curious where you got the instructions, when I looked i couldnt find them... though that could be due to geolocked content or my inability to understand Russian. Thanks for sharing the photos
  22. Glad to hear it all worked out :) Also, could you show some photos of that trophy truck? Im curious about it..
  23. I was looking back on this thread and saw this, did you see gooberreboot's model of this vehicle? https://youtu.be/XteYm7UqNvg https://youtu.be/_tIindMXeAI (not embedded to keep the post size down) Nice work making it so quickly. How does it drive in reality?
  24. I don't think one is better than the other, they both seemed to perform quite good. Good job making a fair test though!
