Yeah but I feel like TLG seems to think the concentration and Brainpower of the average adult equals to that of a 5yo. Honestly, if you are 18+ and not able to assemble a mid scale system car without colorcoding then LEGO might just not be for you. I think it is good to make the build and instructions easy to reach a big audience. But I also think the most stupid (or should I say unmotivated?) should be left behind.

Lego Pneumatic Engine
Gray Gear replied to LegoEmbodiment's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@2GodBDGlory there are these small preassurized co2 capsules, like this: -
Very nice! I am not a fan of studs visible outside, but I like the colorsceme, and the exhaust piping at the bottom of the car

Lego Pneumatic Engine
Gray Gear replied to LegoEmbodiment's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Very cool! I just wish there was a way to not have a pneumatic hoze coming out of the car... -
I am not talking about what LEPIN was doing. They got smacked with the death stick, and rightfully so. I am talking about CADA for example, they offer original products, pay MOCers for their designs and have good brick quality. They are what you call competition, in the same sense that VW is competition for Mercedes even though they didn't invent the car.

Other Brands are readily taking advantage of the fact that LEGO sets are getting more and more expensive, while the part count and model complexity decreases. They cater to the rapidly growing adult audience with sets that are actually for adults, or offer affordable sets to familys that are not able to afford the increasing prices. TLG now has competition, and sooner or later they will have to adapt in ways that don't involve lawyers. It might not be that apparent now, but big changes are happening, and I am happy, because TLG will be forced to improve to stay competitive. I hope for a Golden Age of bricks, caused by competition of Brands. And we customers are happy, because there is no longer a monopoly we can now choose what Brand to buy. LEGO, or maybe something else...

@LvdH Thanks for your feedback and your nice words To be honest I can see why you like the NSX's transmission best. Someone who has built so many technic cars already will look for the most unique, and the NSX transmission definatelly ticks that box. But I myself feel like the R32's AWD transmission is my best so far, even though it has a more convetional layout. Hehe yeah one of my goals for the R32 was to surpass the body rigidity of the average 1:8 supercar by a mile And thx for pointing out the mistake in the instructions, I'll do a bandaid fix when I have the time.

@LoMaC Yeah the rear is instantly better with the Exhaust on your Instagram. Thats a GT-R. -

I like the R32 and the R33 better, but the R34 is still very cool. I like the colorsceme, but I feel like the wheels should have been a different color. I like the way the headlights were made and covered with these flag pieces, very nice But I really dislike the exhaust system... What is this? A 3 pipe center exhaust on a GT-R? Thats blasphemy right here! It makes the rear look more like a corvette... (I know the corvette has 4) Thx for sharing! -
@johncarpenter I have to agree. But back when I was a kid (I am 22yo now so that wasn't that long ago lol) I was never able to build any B-Models because my parents didn't want me to have a computer or a smartphone until I was 15yo . Printed B-Model instructions would have helped promote B-model popularity I am sure! When I finally got my own and smartphone I had long passed the point where building official models was challenging or a lot of fun, I was always more of the MOC builder. So I basically didn't build any of the b-models @TeamThrifty Imagine you were to buy a new sportscar for 500.000$, and as soon as you brought it home from the stealership you realize the alignment is off, and there is a whole lot of breaking fluid leaking onto your garage floor. Some gearhead might be like "I dont really care, I wanted to put on some aftermarket wheels and upgrade to metal break lines anyways". That is you in in your comment above. But most people rightfully expect the car to just work. The ordinary person doesn't know how to fix the issues, and does not want to have to fix issues themselves when they paid a goddamn premium already.

@aniking I just took it apart in big pieces and changed the color. The center "core" was left untouched.- 87 replies

[MOC] 90's Honda NSX
Gray Gear replied to Gray Gear's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Sorry m8, the red colored bodywork contains a good ammount of Non-LEGO bricks, and there is no parts list for the rebuild. I even had to do some small modifications to complete the rebuild in red, and there are no instructions for them. I am afraid I cannot help you- 87 replies

Most importantly I need a source of inspiration. For example footage like this finally pushed me to start building the Nissan 180SX Type X. I never build digital, I hate it. I only do it to make instructions, otherwhise I like the Bricks in my Hands. Additionally I need: - My desk (there is is always a mess of bricks on top) -Sariel's Model scaler and a nice blueprint - Videos of the real car, closeup pics of the engine bay and other reference material - A ton of Anime and YT Videos to keep me company, and Harry Potter/Lotr Audiobooks for when I need to do building instructions.

Ooh, that seems more likely. Then I'd be intrested in knowing the overall weight of the Truck. -

Wow, looks great! I like the colorsceme. But 1.27 kg seems way too low, did you mean 12.7 kg?
