[MOC] Koenigsegg Jesko
Gray Gear replied to Pvdb's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow, very smooth bodywork! I like the overall look, classic black&white, but these small green accents really throw me off, thats not for me. I also like the way you mounted these small winglets on the front bumper at an ange, using plate modified. Nice. Can we get a video of the doors opening and the shifting mechanism? and maybe a pic of the transmission without the car (digital mabe)? -
And you'll be able to pick up this MOC without it bending that bad. That's what I think is the worst part: It seems like TLG doesn't care that the model is way too unstable, especially for technic standards. It may look ok or even good from the outside, but the inside was stripped of every last reinforcement to lower production cost. That's just sad imo. TLG should be very happy that people make B-models like this one!

Its not as bad as the flexari is what I meant to say Imo this is easily better that the A-model. But well, the A-model didn't raise the bar very high.

That's not a very nice thing to say?! Try >>>THIS<<< if you want to disassemble a wheel hub without damaging the bricks

First of all: I love the height adjustable suspension. A massive luxury car like this looks 5x as cool when slammed on the ground The front and rear look pretty nice as well, but the sides are too cluttered imo. I like the black and gray color combo, looks good, but the yellow interior just looks terrible, I really hate that. But that's just taste. But what isn't taste is that a 11 studs wide center tunnel is not nice. I respect that you did a 6 speed manual instead of the sequential gearboxes that are so common nowadays, but please, don't try to squeeze it in the center tunnel when there obviously isn't enough space. I don't want to sound like an arrogant a**hole here but you can check out my Nissan Skyline GT-R MOC to see a different way of doing a 6-speed manual transmission with AWD. Having all wheel drive is nice, but kind of incomplete without a center differential. Overall a very nice creation, but with a good amount of unused potential. Thx for sharing.

Very nice creation, I like the red dish pieces behind the wheels to make the drum brakes. I am not really into these kinds of cars, but I have to respect the drivers that raced them, always with their lives on the line. The only thing that really bothers me is that the fifth wheel has a different tire on it than the rest -
Yeah I thought so. But it shouldn't be hard to improve if it bothers someone with a few extra parts.

That's a pretty nice looking B-Model! I like the wheelarch behind the engine, flows really well. Just the exhaust manifolds look a bit pathetic for a V8

Thank you for putting the [WIP] in the title, and for updating this thread instead of making a new one. That's how it is supposed to be done What you are trying to do here is pretty tough, especially in 1:10 scale. I know I could do a quattro with 4wd and a 6-speed manual in 1:8 scale, but in 1:10? Thats a whole different story. I would use these suspension arms, and mount the shocks vertically on the lower one. If you then move the steering rack behind the front diff, you should be able to move back the engine another~2-3 studs I think. Mounting the engine beside or above the front diff is impossible in this scale I expect. For the model scaler: after feeding the scaler a blueprint/image you need to give it a reference how to calculate all the rest. Just measure how many studs hight your wheel is irl, type it in the scaler, draw a line on the wheel on the blueprint and hit "calculate". I hope this helps a little

The User who made this MOC last visited this forum >3 years ago, so I doubt you'll get an answer. Please use the PM feature next time instead of reviving an old thread. Thx.

This thing must be huge, I have a car in the same scale as your RS200 next to me and on your pic it looks quite small compared to the massive gray monster...And it will be a lot bigger if the wings are completed. I think it might not fit into your building shed I would have gone with system pieces for the turbines for sure, I always choose the piece that fits best. I like to combine system and technic. but that is a matter of preference and style I guess.

Nah bud I am just sick of threads that are basically empty. At least put something like "idea" in the title, to make clear there is nothing brickbuilt there. Don't talk about what you are going to do, show what you have actually done a good while later. Most times these 2 are very different... And seing results is actually intresting. -

No, it's just a problem that is getting bigger -
Yeah well uploading the pictures to the server instead of using a picture hosting service, even though you are NOT supposed to upload the pics here does indeed "harm" the server, in using up space needlessly. In a community some things are just done a certain way. One of these things is that it is bad manners to revive an old thread (like this one ) even though you don't really have anything new or important to show or tell. Please keep that in mind for the future.

@gyenesvi That's pretty nice! I like the rear suspension. Side profile looks pretty good as well, but the front really isn't for me... I think I would have used the round clear pieces as headlights. -

From tracked to 4-wheeled vehicle with the same parts, that's intresting! -

Great...Why open this thread now then, if you have don't even have the intention of building it now? This is a LEGO forum, so I'd like to at least see some brickbuilt progress, if not a finished MOC. Dont just dump an idea in here that you may or may not continue later if you feel like it. Open the thread once you actually have made some progress that is intresting to look at. I dont get it. -
I recommend using this to get your proportions right: http://scaler.sariel.pl/ I use it too and its such a great help The engine is way to far in front, like I know the S1 was pretty front-heavy, but the engine was still placed between the front wheels and not in front of them I don't want to discourage you, but your building techniques suggest that you haven't built a lot of big technic models and still lack experience. I am not saying I am perfect, I still have a lot to learn as well. But it does not matter, because LEGO does not choose any Technic models on LEGO Ideas

@aniking Thank you the picture does not work for me tho... It would be very grateful if you would also upload the pic in the pictures section of the MOC on Rebrickable, so others can see it is possible to build
