  1. Fair enough, I haven't purchased a single LEGO set from this year. Aye, I shall wait intently.
  2. The overall layout reminds me of the research base in general. This almost makes me want to buy and turn that tree house into a new research base... Let us hope Murdoch can do it.
  3. Aye, one could try gluing a knife to the musket. Alas, that would be stuck forever, double clip is a much better solution, even if it is not from LEGO.
  4. A strange technique, not entirely sure how it works but this be the first picture I found on the internet.
  5. Looks good! Ye captured the essence of a small Pirates set. Well done!
  6. I had not heard about CMFs, thank ye for the infomation!
  7. Well, take it with grain of salt, as I heard such a fact quite a few years ago, would have to investigate this matter further.
  8. A good idea, but from what I heard, those chess sets were produced in a different factory using cheaper plastic, but I be not fully sure if that is true. Looks impressive! I do believe that for pirates it would be too much. I have heard of the lengths some people are ready to go to for such armies.
  9. Sounds exciting, hope it is true.
  10. I be glad to see that ye imrpoved yer MOC even more. This version is astounding! Ye have done an extraordinary job!
  11. These are humorous! Would love to see more of it, especially the more serious ones.
  12. The vessel looks very good with those prefab hulls. Yer rigging is astounding, really love it. Good job! I have not heard of it before, what be it about?
  13. A beautiful MOC, as always! I could not imagine the struggle of ordering all those gold parts. Good job!
  14. Aye, yer example first came to mind. Strangely enough, i have never before considered buying custom prints.
  15. Due to the new colours available for epaulettes, I would like to see Imperial factions in different colours (orange, green (not Armada), white, purple and so on). Though it would be lovely to receive different types of pirate factions (think the Brethren Court from POTC 3), not to mention all the types of civilians we could receive.
  16. That is difficult to answer. So many spectacular minifigures to choose from. I think that Captain Jack Sparrow might just be my favourite out of all. I have always been astounded by his design, customisability. Classic Indiana Jones and Henry Jones Sr. certainly come in as close seconds.
  17. As far as I know, there have not been any custom prints. This particular torso is a recolour of Gibbs' minifigure torso: It can also be seen in dark blue at the very end of the game. However, I think there were some people few years back creating custom minifigures from the game (Ragetti, Sao Feng). Hope this helps ye somewhat. EDIT: I seem to have found one company creating these customs in USA, I can send ye the Instagram profile link privately, if ye wish.
  18. Impressive colours! I love how much detail ye put on this vessel. Good job!
  19. Not in terms of shape, I believe. In terms of material, most likely. I think that LOTR Pirate ship had plastic sails, perhaps Imperial Flagship too? It is possible that I am confusing some things. One thing I know for certain is that few pirate flags were made from plastic around 2009 - 2011.
  20. I prefer plain cloth and printed cloth sails, though plastic sails also were an interesting idea (correct me if I be wrong - plastic sails were released for a short period during early 2010s, correct?). As for the hulls, I like the prefab hulls but brick built hulls offer many other possibilites when it comes to the general shape of the vessel.
  21. Looks really good! A very brave decision to create the Death Star all by yerself, this post reminds me that I too regret not buying one of those sets back when they were available, oh well. Either way, this seems like an exciting project. I be looking forward to more updates in the future.
  22. This is a tough one. All things considered, Pirates of Barracuda Bay should be the best Pirates set, yet I chose Imperial Trading Post. Even though it be not much of a pirate type set, it captures age of sail best out of all the sets released under 'Pirates' name. That be my reason. But I think that Pirates of Barracuda Bay is the best pirate type set, so i would have voted it had it not been for Imperial Trading post (hope me gibberish makes some sense ).
  23. I have expressed before that Sabre Island would be a lovely GWP. If LEGO wishes to focus on early Pirates years then this one would be perfect!
  24. That looks lovely. Would look good together with other islands. What be this MOC? I am not familiar with it.
