Aye, he showed up in a set last year. Lovely chap, used his torso on a mansion grounds watchman (or something along the lines ).

An astounding model! Good job! May we see her from few more angles?

Even if ye don't make as many ship models as back in the day, they still are some of the most detailed and beautiful ones out there. Personally, I adore yer models.- 315 replies

I voted for the 2009 design because, to me it has most uses for factions of different countries. For colour, I chose green, would be lovely to create some 18th century Russian Empire soldiers for historical scenes in Latvia and elsewhere.

This is more or less how that gift with purchase Sabre Island would look like. A fair update which looks like an offical set, good job!

What location/scene come to your mind when thinking about Pirates...
Jack Sassy replied to zinnn's topic in LEGO Pirates
A pirate pub is always a welcome build. Some time ago I had a discussion on this forum about Pirates in winter, particularly Canada or anywhere up north in North America. I think that sets featuring this climate would be interesting. Another thing I can think of are fortress ruins (camps, duels), such location could provide good play features. -
Beautiful models! The shape is recognisable right away, good job!

I chose the newest version of Black Seas Barracuda, however, I would say that it be a tie 'twixt this fine vessel and 10210 Imperial Flagship.
-
We just had one with the Eldorado Fortress, haha. Just a joke, I do wish they would do a remake of some sort of a vessel. Perhaps Imperial Flagship from 2010?
-
Voted for brown docks and Barracuda Bay. While I do love the new Eldorado Fortress, I found the Barracuda Bay more fun to build and interact with. Brown docks have always seemed more appealing to me but I can appreciate the aesthetic of black docks.

I have had a similar experience in the past, though not as extreme as yours. You see, here in modern Latvia, people tend to look at LEGO merely as a childrens' toy and nothing more. Most people move on from it around early teens (like with many other toys). So here be I - a shy teenager who loves all things LEGO (I became interested in LEGO around the said time, in 2005). Clearly, people around me (schoolmates, family, friends) found my hobby weird and often laughed about it, sometimes even shaming me for buying a childrens' toy at such age. Fast forward some 13 or 14 years later - some people still cannot accept my hobby (mostly family) while others are fascinated by it. I meself see LEGO as a potential tool for artistic creations. I have got used to people looking at me strangely on the street with a LEGO set, or perhaps insulting me because of the hobby. I believe it is largely a regional issue - many people in our country still live by old fashioned (in a bad way) values.

Aye, that is a good plan. That torso could mostly work in a museum scene with all the characters (before they set off on an adventure).

No worries, it is possible to erase printing on one side of the head, though you will have to bid farewell to one of these expressions.

A beautifully colourful build, fabulous!

Another great MOD! I like what ye did with this one, though I imagine sleeping on the first floor near the biggest window could be tad uncomfortable.

The study itself could work well for an 18th century inventor. (I like this new Emoticon.) -
Aye, eyebrows are always important. To me it looks as if the hat is too small for him. Those hairpieces look excellent with the tricorne, good job!

My favourite faction has to be pirates, just couldn't resist, mate. Though quite lately I have been slightly more interested in civilians and high society...

Ah, the sequel. Great ideas, though I feel that the short tousled hair modification on far right looks a bit out of place in this situation. Others are excellent. Thank ye for sharing!

The final build is magnificent, love all of the detail ye had patience to include in this. An astounding work of art, @evancelt!
