[OFFICIAL] LEGO Icons 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship
Jack Sassy replied to CloneCommando99's topic in LEGO Pirates
Dunno, she certainly stood out in the first film and many people were disappointed that she did not appear in the next two films. She would be a good LEGO character, albeit rather plain. -
Aye, those torsos could work well for a more colourful bunch of pirates onboard of a ship.

A few years back I was very hooked on an idea of creating Donald Duck's famous car, yet never did get to the building part, nor the designing part, for that matter. This is a beautiful, well crafted model. I do appreciate that it has enough space for another minifigure, and the tires look splendid too. Good job!

Usually I just copy that part of the link, so I have not noticed such an issue in the past. I had no idea about the BBCode situation. I must complement yer MOC, as its scale is impressive, as well as the interior. The idea of a boxing match within a factory or a saloon has always fascinated me and this rendition does the job very well. Good job!

Try typing just the site address part, that way the pictures should show up like always: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54383518326_46870cce79_c.jpg

Action and Adventure Themes Discussion
Jack Sassy replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
So, the new Jurassic World theme has been announced and the flagship set looks promising for Adventurers: The temple seems sufficient enough, though it could be a good start for a bigger temple build.- 226 replies

This is an impressive model! It goes far beyond just an improval of the original set, this is essentially the absolute perfect version of the Sanctum Sanctorum. So many details that are present, absolutely beautiful. An astounding job ye have done! This must be frontpaged.

Glad to see ye back, @Count Vroskri! This be a fine vessel, even if a faulty design. I believe the essence of a MOC is that one piece that barely holds everything together, so yer design is acceptable to me. I like the shape of the hull too, it has been achieved perfectly. Good job!

An impressive display well worth the effort ye put into it. The Black Pearl looks really good next to the bustling town under siege. The trees are constructed well too. Good job! That be a fairly new piece used for Spider-Man's webs:

What a pleasant surprise! I was considering the purchase of this set back in 2021, but in the end it felt too expensive. I had the same idea as ye, it seems. This set was begging for an Islander modification, and ye have done it well. Good job!

[OFFICIAL] LEGO Icons 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship
Jack Sassy replied to CloneCommando99's topic in LEGO Pirates
The model is absolutely beautiful, though the decks are too low for minifigures. Minifigure compatibility seems to be a common problem if one wishes to also achieve an accurate exterior design. Regarding the rumour: if the leaked piece count is the same as for the MOCYourBricks model, how true can it be? Perhaps it be a mere coincidence? -
Brickshelf is shutting down. Let's try to save it.
Jack Sassy replied to Trekkie99's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Sad to hear about the passing of Kevin Loch, Brickshelf is truly a time capsule of another time. I tried to set up an account some five years ago but to no avail, I suppose a lot of good material will be lost. -
Aye, that seems to be a problem for LEGO, not sure why. Quite often they reject the Pirates submissions, truly a shame.
-
This is a perfectly balanced model, I like how the interior space has been used dynamically. Have ye considered this model as an IDEAS submission? Because this looks like it could be a set. Good job!

1936 Opel P4 and 1938 Opel Olympia in 1/32 scale (6w)
Jack Sassy replied to Sven J's topic in Special LEGO Themes
These are beautiful and well crafted models. The first one almost completely blends with the background as a black and white one, except for the obvious splash of brighter colours. Speaking of which, I appreciate the turn sign on the side. Good job on both of these! -
Looking for water/rivers edge help (tutorials)
Jack Sassy replied to natesroom's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I know that @evancelt had such a tutorial few years ago in the Pirates forum: Be this what ye mean? -
I am delighted to see that there will be a new bandana piece, new varities are always welcome! I think that the dark red torso also could be useful, perhaps for some POTC pirates?

[OFFICIAL] LEGO Icons 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship
Jack Sassy replied to CloneCommando99's topic in LEGO Pirates
Funnily enough, some five years ago I had the same thought, a UCS Black Pearl. It sounds wonderful. Only trouble is, I have grown tired of high piece count and price LEGO sets. As detailed and lovely as they are, not all things require such treatment. To me it takes away from creating MOC builds. I would rather this Pearl be closer to the 2020 Black Seas Barracuda. Do we know any information about the price for this rumoured set? Besides another standalone POTC set I would love to see more land based Pirates sets or some vessels for the soldiers. Perhaps a pirate pub? -
Struggling with grey large lego base
Jack Sassy replied to Xyz123's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have to say, minifigure legs and individual studs barely stick onto the surface of all the types of newer baseplates. Could be due to the fact that LEGO changed the baseplate production line a few years ago, or so I have heard. But bricks not sticking to the baseplate truly sounds like a problem with the product's quality. -
Aye, thank ye! I meant the part on the left hand side. I suppose those stairs hold stable. An impressive system of removing different parts of the vessel! I meself am struggling with this at the moment, so I look for good solutions anywhere.
