  1. https://www.amazon.com/Pirate-Lego-Little-Golden-Book/dp/0593381807
  2. Preordered on Amazon! Though they said the release date was July 5, 2022 there
  3. Thanks! Yes, the same flag trick as the Naval Intelligence Office rears its head again Thanks! Yes I love 4th wall breaks! Thanks!
  4. Indeed! If you have any questions before posting your introduction, you can ask them here or send a PM to @Ayrlego & @Bregir!
  5. As they crossed over a small stream, the lead scout pointed out a bluff just up ahead to the officer in charge of the company. The gang of horse rustlers was camped a small distance up a wash that they would enter from the base of the bluff. ----------------- Roughly based on @Ayrlego's Onondaga Scouts, in another time period
  6. That's an impressively large hillside! The city looks great all together, and it does look like it would push the limits of stud.io!
  7. Looks like they are having a good time! Agreed!
  8. Looks great! Good work
  9. @kurigan - Cool! There are some bumpy seas in the middle of the video, but cool effect! Ship looks great
  10. Agreed - would love to see this in BoBS! Great build
  11. I like seeing those wooden window frames used as doors - it works well! At first glance the build seems a little bland because it's all stone-colored, but it's plausible!
  12. Lots of detail for a pretty small build! I especially like the gap in the middle of the boat that looks like an open storage hatch or something
  13. Lovely take on the boat prow house! I like that without the base the door is nice and low - really fits the primitive celtic result! Nice trees and landscaping too - the medium green is pretty unique!
  14. Haha definitely steered clear of the old greys and most true classic parts due to price. These newer light/dark bley versions are relatively cheap in bulk on BrickLink. Would have loved if the newer bley panels / windows came with the stone print available on the classic versions. Great points! Both boys I am aiming to give this to have a bunch of vegetation and accessory-type items already from their massive collections of Pirate sets. Looking to give them a set of new (to them) Castle-y things that can help them reuse their existing non-Castle LEGO bins to make sweet castles.
  15. Yeah that'd be fun! Good idea.
  16. I'm starting to pull together some light/dark bley classic castle parts to make a DIY castle set to give my kids for xmas. Am I missing anything obvious that would be super awesome? Also have some gate doors and minifigs set aside to include
  17. I love the railing design so much - great work setting the scroll back a stud to include it in an upright
  18. This looks awesome! I think I have all those pieces so gonna have to give this one a try
  19. Nice rockwork and the wings around the tower are super fun!
  20. Gloriously huge! So impressive
  21. I loved both Playmobil and LEGO as a kid so when it came time to get post-DUPLO toys for my kids (three kids 7 and under) I tried out some cheap Playmobil sets and broke out some of my classic LEGOs. They were so much more creative with the LEGO bricks! Playmobil was great for roleplaying, but didn't give them the freedom to totally design the world.
  22. Love the sand green chicken ornamentation
