Imprint House, South Sillitholina, Terraversa
-
As the ETTC's footprint grew, the trading company's investors thought it wise to take extra steps to ensure proper labeling on the goods they sold. Located in South Sillitholina on the island of Terraversa, the Imprint House was positioned at the gateway to the Brick Seas. The office operated as a printing, embossing, and branding workshop where goods could be packaged and labeled for optimal brand exposure. If consumers saw the regal 'ETTC' seal everywhere they looked, investor stocks were sure to soar! ------------------ Here's my final micro medium property earned as a prize during Challenge IV: Rebuilding Terraversa. To be licensed as a commercial building in South Sillitholina by ETTC.

Have any pics with it as white? Would love to see

Lovely interior and story. Awesome job. I especially like the chairs and doorway. While the window frames are obviously a little thick, the arched shape and lattice are stellar. The coatrack design is good, though perhaps a shorter bar would look more natural with minifig height (a 4L?) - it's very tall! Nice bright colors overall, too!

[COR-FB] Increased Patrols, Wullham
evancelt replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks all! This one started as trying to make a "hills of purple heather" build, but those 75 deg green slopes are crazy silly steep and the dimensions didn't look good. So added the tree! I may try the purple heather again for Spudkirk. Perhaps having a single hill strata of the 75 deg slopes (I have 16) would work to add some height all the way across a 32x base I'll keep this in mind! Thanks Haha indeed! I'm hoping to exploit the Panarium island sheep bonus as much as possible and also establish that there are military patrols all over the island. My hope is that if land combat happens on the island at some point in the future I've established I have troops crawling everywhere- 17 replies

Shepard Willoughsby watches as a company of 26th foot march through his flock. With the Lotii on the rampage in the New Haven Sea, Willoughsby takes comfort in the fact that patrols from Fort Stockton seem to have increased in frequency. ------------ OOC: Wanted to try out using ziplines on a tree. [COR-PROJECT] The University of Tiberia's new Budget Plan
evancelt replied to Mesabi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice work @Mesabi! This build looks more substantial to me than some of your previous ones because of the depth (inset door) and by virtue of not being able to see the background through the windows! Nice veg in front of the building I especially like that shot with the horse rearing up. If you have access to another light, positioning it at another angle to the build from your first light would remove a bunch of the shadows on the deep inset door. There is some editing you can do post-photo too to reduce shadows in Photoshop (check out Camera Raw filter - it's awesome!) Dodged a bullet!- 5 replies

[COR/OL Treaty Talks] Pine Island Monastery, Sil River
evancelt replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Captain Brickleton ever so slowly squeezed his hand into a fist and then released the clench. He pondered to himself: What were the Oleonese waiting for? This seemed like a win-win treaty for both sides, but the bluecoats continued posturing. Yes, the murder had certainly heightened tensions for both sides, but this agreement would have Corrington acknowledge Oleon's claim to El Oleonda. Without it, there was no acknowledgement of their claim. If Oleon didn't change tact soon, perhaps he would take Colonel Allcock aside and suggest they leave Pine Island to attend the tentative meeting with Carno that they had proposed the week earlier. Seawatch wasn't an ideal base of operations on El Oleonda, but it would do. -
I must add that while many claim dust is the bane of a LEGO build, I think it adds texture in this build!

[SR - OKT - Micro] - Hellion's Stallion coffee factory
evancelt replied to omnihash_cz's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Looks great! If anything it maybe looks a little more modern than 1700s-1800s, but the shape of the building is instantly recognizable as a factory. I love the smoke effect. Great job with the SNOT-ed water -

[COR/OL Treaty Talks] Pine Island Monastery, Sil River
evancelt replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Captain Brickleton was a man of action. Even before hearing about the assassin he had been sizing up objects in the room he could use if it came to fight. He had settled on a brass candlestick situated on a nearby endtable. As Lord Spud began speaking, Brickleton had watched the Oleonese delegation listen attentively about the Lotii assassin. He chuckled quietly to himself as they missed his joke about inquisition methodology. Lost in translation, eh? However, as Lord Spud continued on about Spudkirk and Corlander settlements, Brickleton saw Emile's eyes begin to glaze over CRAAAAASH!!! The brass candle holder made a terrible clang as it collided with the ground. Stepping forward, Brickleton began: Apologies, Gentlemen. My arm appears to have clumsily knocked the candlestick. If I may, let us dispense with flowery language and be frank. Corrington has no designs on the Lotii settlements on El Oleonda. We simply wish that they stop harassing our settlements and shipping. To that end, I restate in plainspeak what we are after: a partnership to rid El Oleonda of the Lotii. We will help you remove their threat from the island and in return you may do what you wish with their settlements once we leave. We think this promise of additional holdings on the island is ample incentive for you to agree to work alongside us. We will help with the fighting and you will reap the immediate rewards. Corrington just wants safety for our settlements elsewhere in the New Haven sea. And of course the spheres of influence mentioned earlier would help solidify this position. As our partnership would be very targeted at the island of El Oleonda, we think it makes the most sense to discuss allowing Corlander temporary quarter in Oleonese settlements on the island. And, if it aids in your logistical operations, we are prepared to offer you access to our harbors in the New Haven sea so that you might better move troops and supplies to El Oleonda. What say you, Oleonese delegation? @KotZ @CapOnBOBS @Ross Fisher -
[SR - OKT Micro Prize] Townhall & Temple, Hellion
evancelt replied to NOD's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice work @NOD! I love that bridge! The only suggestion I'd make it maybe using some of the 1x1 quarter round green tiles for the pieces that border the stream. The 1x1 square tiles definitely work, but that section of the MOC looks the blockiest. Cool usage of the decorated brick on the side of the temple -
These are great! Nice work

[COR - ChIV - Micro Prize] Sheep Farm, Wullham
evancelt replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks @Justsomebrix! Yeah the sheep were the core of the build, and the rest built up around them. The optimal spacing for the wand was 1.5 studs apart, so I used jumper plates to space them out a bit. Thanks! Got the idea to use the sprues after breaking off some dark brown wands to use in the sheep as their heads. Tried a bunch of other stuff for the heads too, but everything else was too big. Tried making a little person, too, but ended up using that micro person instead. Thanks @NOD! Gotta keep trying new stuff Thanks @Professor Thaum! I saw some micro timber frame elsewhere but didn't have the pieces to recreate what they did, so tried this! Thanks @Spud The Viking! I have a ton of 1x2 plates in ~25 colors so while it takes a lot of pieces, I like the flexibility of throwing in new colors as I go - can make part of the field muddy! Thanks @Kai NRG! You should try out the sheep and build a micro for Wullham All sheep builds welcome in Wullham -

[COR - ChIV - Micro Prize] Sheep Farm, Wullham
evancelt posted a topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Forest Bineford loved the location he had chosen for his sheep farm. The rolling hills provided ample grazing land for his flock of sheep, and the hillside behind his home allowed him to sit under a small grove of trees to watch his sheep among the pastures. Now with winter closing in, the leaves on the small stand of trees had fallen and he looked forward to seeing folks about town sport clothing made from his wool! ---------------- Here's my micro medium property earned as a prize during Challenge IV: Rebuilding Terraversa (bonus upgrade).
