  1. It lives, lol, nice to see this project still going on, looking forward to seeing some real world brick versions. These smaller truck builds are among my favorites.
  2. Hard to believe they would end the only theme that offers dinosaurs, as eternally popular as they seem to be. It would be equally weird to get the same dino molds in some other theme. I do believe they can and likely will just skip a year or two between waves, unless for some reason the whole theme becomes hugely popular. I just feel like there will always be a dino set on the shelf.
  3. Just finished the Dodge Charger and I would say overall it ranks as one of my least favorite SC cars ever, since they went to 8 wide anyway, still have to build the DB5. Really surprised though how much this set disappointed me, I usually love the Speed Champions builds, regardless of whether I like the car or not.
  4. Agree, a set with a bridge under construction, using the new road plates, would be great, buy two and have a complete bridge.
  5. Coming along nicely, you definitely captured the classic look, reminds me of a older International Harvester style truck.
  6. Although that fake list had me going with the fire bulldozer as I used to be a forest fire fighter, from way back, I enjoy collecting that stuff and always look forward to more forest oriented sets.
  7. I certainly hope not, since they contain no useful information, it would be nice if it started with an actual list or other release information, aside from wishful speculation.
  8. The only way this could happen is if you put one of the differential modules on backwards, easy mistake to make, check steps 170-172. Pay special attention to the two small bevel gears location.
  9. Looks fantastic, I really do like these post apocalyptic builds always so cool. More importantly it looks like it was a lot of fun to build. Thanks for showing it off, great work.
  10. Can't say where the mistake was made but obviously something is amiss, as mine works perfectly, even after all this time. Great set too, by the way, sometimes wish I would have picked up a second copy.
  11. And after a fair bit more messing around, it turns out I misread where the half bush goes, got it right now, lol and I will be utilizing this fix for now, as it does make a difference in how the rotor head moves.
  12. That's what I call overkill to the highest degree, lol. It looks very well engineered and solid. Thanks
  13. After messing around a bit more, I can say all this does is prevent the rotor blades from tilting as far down in the front and in no way changes the operation of the linkage, so not worth the effort, I don't even think it is an error. Also I thought I was posting in the mods and fixes thread, sorry, wish I could move my posts there. 😜
  14. Turns out it was easier to try than I thought, it does seem to make a noticeable difference, like it compensates for the slack it the linkage.
  15. Has anyone tried this, I am considering trying it but it will require a fair amount of disassembly for me at this point.
  16. It's funny just picked up the Noodle shop and considering how prices have really shot up, I would have thought this set would be much more popular. I really like it and it seems like a good value to me, unfortunately it appears like I am the only one, no accounting for some people's taste I suppose, lol.
  17. It is a cool idea, I am always looking for some way to utilize LEGO with some sort of board type game, so I may be a bit biased. Likewise, I absolutely detest clips, lol, and avoid them at all costs, when making my on stuff, even though sometimes it can be the best alternative. It will be interesting to see how this works out and I may even try my hand at making a few modules. Good luck and keep us updated.
  18. Lol, what a great way to start the day, thanks man.
  19. Yes, I like very much how you have changed the upper parts, especially the front angle above the cabin, looks much better.
  20. Would really like to see that, I am currently reworking the tail section, so it doesn't sag so much, which isn't so easy as it is only 3m wide. Also even though I haven't yet completed the set, I am tinkering with some other stuff as well.
  21. Interesting how you change the upper connection point on the links, I suppose there isn't enough force to push those pins out, under normal operating conditions. Do the controls seem to work just as well with these changes?
  22. Something I do not know, yet, as I only just heard about this from a friend, I will have to research it a little more. Maybe someone else knows and will clarify how it will actually work. I do know he read it on brickset a couple of days ago.
  23. So now Target will be awarding VIP points for LEGO purchases, 1 point for $1 spent. Makes me wonder if other retailers will be following suit, also makes me wonder if this is some way for TLG to control sale prices and discounts at Target, as I often get very good deals there. It will only be in effect through the holiday shopping season, so hopefully it takes off.
  24. I sometimes wonder if some color coding is done just for the sake the robots, putting all the parts in the bag.
  25. Agree and even though I never planned on selling my LEGO, I can see now, I need to do exactly that and I am currently looking at the best way for me to do that. Anyway back to unpopular opinions.
