I simply have no more room for display, all my display space has become storage space. Which doesn't really matter as I live alone and have no visitors, ever. I have become a hermit hoarder, lol.

Sure was a pleasure to put it together though. Give it about a week and it becomes parts again and since all my horizontal planes are brimming over with LEGO, my particular 42125 will never have the pleasure of achieving shelf Queen status, so sad, because it is such a great set, one I think that will achieve GOAT status, when viewed historically. Now how's that for unpopular.

For what it's worth, the manager at my local store told me they only got 102 Forest Hideout sets and that they were supposed to only go with the castle, unfortunately they forgot to tell anybody that part. Not sure if that is just a cop out or what he imagine happened, or if there's some truth to it.

Lol, no need to take it so personal.

The color itself bothers me much less than the way it is implemented, just doesn't look right. I do like that many sets this year have many sets with many different parts in the new color, it seems like usually we get a couple of panels and connectors in a new color, not really enough to use, then it is many months, or even years before we get more parts in the new color. Just tore into bags three, finally all the new parts and I have to say this could possibly be my favorite set of all time, this chopper is leaps and bounds above the last big one, the Heavy Lift helicopter. I am thoroughly enjoying the build process and have a lot of ideas for modding and mocing. Would love to get a second set even, for B models. Of course as with any set there are things I am not happy with, the front landing gear really should pivot. Sadly with the way prices seem to be constantly spiraling upward, it becomes more difficult to separate me from my money so I am very glad I bit the bullet and bought this set and highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys a challenging Technic build with lots of working features, so many gears, axles and very useful parts. Back to the build, amazing set, Technic the way it should be, now if we could just get return of the B model, even if it doesn't come with printed instruction book.

Yeah because machines are infallible. C'mon give us humans some credit, There are many things a human can do far better than any machine, and more economical as well, like I said in my first post. It will be a very, very long time before any machine reaches human capabilities, possibly never.

For what it's worth, the six I have in bag one, all line up perfectly. So maybe it depends what factory they come from.- 5,509 replies

Deservedly so too, first impressions looks fantastic and the more I read the more I like it. Superb build, very impressed, thanks for taking the time to do a write up. That sprocket and tread design are particularly interesting, might have to check out the instructions, when they are done.

That is something good to know, actually going to put that in my LEGO journal. Hopefully it is true, lol.- 5,509 replies

It could just be more economical, a human is less expensive to hire than building a machine to duplicate the requirements of the job at hand, or maybe has something to do with quality control. I can't say for sure but would be interesting to find out.

Very good start, man the base section alone is a work of art, lol. Very intricate way of doing it, I am impressed.

I have had that happen a couple of times myself, one part missing but a extra of some other part, most recently with the Fiat 500, set 10271. Unfortunately the missing part is usually more rare than the extra part, lol.

And while it may be inexcusable, fortunately the problem can be easily remedied, by simply using a secondary connection, like pins, or axles. I have also have noticed you can pair them up with others, to not be as noticeable, or you can stagger them in such a way to make the problem far more noticeable. Anyway, funnily I was just reading the description on the LEGO site, for the Airbus and it says, six AA batteries (included). I am sure that is a typo as it clearly says on the box, batteries not included. Going to be a few disgruntled customers, lol.

What I remember most about that console, the totally non-ergonomic controllers. Those sharp corners would really do a number on your palms and after extended play your hands would hurt so bad you couldn't play for a day or two. I am surprised there are no lawsuits to be honest, lol. The crippler, is what I called that console.

Review: Temple of the Crystal Skull (Set 7627)
Johnny1360 replied to klokriecher's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well by LEGO's modern build techniques and style, this set would be more at home with the Minecraft theme, maybe that's it. Pretty cool seeing a review of a set from deep in my dark age, still I would love to have this set, I imagine the new upgraded one will look much better, have less pieces and cost more. Regardless I am looking forward to the relaunch and will likely buy most of the sets. Thanks for taking the time to review this set, enjoyed checking out what I missed out on. -
To be honest, if I shared that opinion, I would never again purchase any LEGO branded product and never post anything more about LEGO, complete boycott. Then I would move on and find something more worthwhile to participate in, life is too short for all that sort of aggravation and disappointment. Just not worth it.

Whatever you do it will be fun, that's the beauty of LEGO, one of my favorite things is there is no wrong way to "play" with it, so your experience will be different than others have. Personally I steer away from overpriced retired sets, there's plenty more coming and more currently available than I will ever be able to afford, so that makes it a bit easier to avoid them. In fact many sets I only buy on sale, like 95%. Some sets though you have to just grab them if you see them though, lol.

Muuhaha, good luck my friend. Sounds like a good plan only stuff with wheels on it. Like to know later if this works. Seriously though I have a monthly budget, if a set I want is over my monthly budget and many are, I actually don't buy anything until I have enough budget money saved up. Having said that though, I would not hesitate to go over budget for a very good deal, that is short lived, or unexpected.
