  1. EB user @Klaus-Dieter had described these sets in the same way, but he said they at least would include some "special" elements that would of interest to MOCers. Do you know of any specifics regarding this particular detail?
  2. Essentially, a minifigure based playset theme open to nearly everything and anything genre-wise. I like that. Despite its set limitations and formula (e.g. only usage of preexisting minifigure prints and non-specialized construction parts), that's what I like about the Creator theme. We definitely could use more evergreen themes that don't box themselves in with a particular time period, setting, or premise. Such a theme could also support one-off sets based upon a genre that otherwise could not that be built off of for an entire theme itself, much like the Collectable Minifigure line.
  3. OK, thanks! You know, it would be great if we actually saw some official CMFs based upon various alternate historical genres, especially Steampunk, being the more well known of the various AH Sci-Fi genres. It is rather strange we haven't seen much of it represented.
  4. Oh, really?! I mean, that was just wishful thinking for the most part; but hey, that's really cool to know, now I can't wait to see the entire series! And that's not including the "Steampunk" archetype?
  5. Well, for the latter two, I would guess those would be a philosopher and a cow suit guy respectively. As for the tinkerer, I really can't plausibly guess who that would be, but it would be really cool if it were some sort of Steampunk archetype. Speaking of that, are there any more Sci-Fi archetypes coming in this final series, or are those three the only ones you know about for now?
  6. I sure hope that the figure will have another new alternate expression. Perhaps someone here who's on Instagram could ask the original poster about that? I also wonder if there is something new in store for the Batman figure in the same Juniors set. Its from the "Smilex" commercial in Tim Burton's Batman.
  7. While browsing around Pinterest the other day, I came across this one amazing microscale city skyline creation by Instagram user Jeff Friesen (a.k.a. jeff_works), who has build a few other micro cityscape MOCs which are all just as extraordinary. Instagram seems like the only place he has posted his work, and, since I've never browsed around Instagram for MOCs before, I started searching around the site via some the hashtags attached to his posts. Unfortunately, I really couldn't find anything at all, since many of the posts under the hashtags mostly consisted of minifigure photography. So, does anyone here know of some great and/or noteworthy fan builders who only post their work on Instagram?
  8. Two reasons I can see the project being rejected is because, one, the franchise might be considered too similar to the Voltron franchise; and two, the franchise somewhat resembles Lego's Ninjago in a way. But, I do remember when the project passed the 10K milestone, Sabin's Global Consumer Product Director did say the franchise's license with Mega Construx was non-exclusive, according to this article from The Brick Fan.
  9. Unfortunately, those sets will only be brick packs according to Klaus in a post seen here below:
  10. While I've looked over the initial preliminaries of these sets before, not until seeing this image of Axl's tank have I noticed it features at least two of part no. 27262 in Trans. Neon Orange. That's great, since now we have at least two different transparent recolors of that part for 2018! I never did save the preliminaries, but does anyone know if any of the other sets in next year's wave feature that part recolor?
  11. Quite the subpar selection Random.org has given us here. Oh well, I ended up going with the S7 Swimmer, since the figure does have a nice goggled face print that could roughly be repurposed for a female aviator.
  12. Same can be said for zoos, but perhaps to a lesser degree since many zoos currently act as educational conservation institutions, whereas circuses are purely for entertainment. If we ever do see circus subtheme of some sort in the future, minus the animals, I know @Roebuck would be most upset. Well, I do think that a "Fun at the Circus" people pack for the City theme would suffice, though such set would probably not be able to contain larger animals such as elephants.
  13. Well, how about "Fun at the Dog Park" instead? Such a set would not only feature all new recolors of existing dog molds, but potentially new ones also. But, I guess such a set may seem too similar to 2016's "Fun at the Park".
  14. I'm pretty sure Lego is going to maintain the individuality of each set within the Ideas portfolio, as not to approve of a set that would be considered a successor or part of a series to a previous set. But, I do think Lego will be considering more nautical themed sets in the future for other themes in response to the popularity of these projects.
  15. This was the post on the topic that was the source of the rumor. The user is only a Vassal, and he said to just take the rumor with a "grain of salt".
  16. Even aesthetically, the set could be updated with newer parts. One particular part of the locomotive that could be updated would be the engine's front smoke guards, where the lower six cheese slopes could be replaced by three double-wide cheese slopes, and the two upper rear cheese slopes and 1×2 tile would be replaced by a single double wide version of the 1×2 "baby bow". That's just one particular new part update of the set I could think of, does anyone have any other ideas?
  17. Probably as a City set, preferably as a trackless, Power Function-less, thirty dollar "great vehicle" City set. I know something like that has never been done for City, but it would be cool to see Lego do smaller, more affordable locomotive sets for the theme. The same can be said for Creator, but not the Expert subtheme. When it comes to shorter based shunter diesels and tank engines, why can't Lego do a $50-$70 three in one locomotive Creator set, featuring no track nor Power Functions? Well, if not just a simple rehash of 2014's offerings, I could see Lego doing either an electric, intercity express type train, or a diesel shutter train set like @LegoMonorailFan had just mentioned.
  18. Reliable rumor source Sir von Lego has already confirmed that City's train subtheme will be retuning for Summer next year, just like everyone else has speculated. I'll check back on the modular rumor/discussion topic every now and then, and so far, I haven't seen that rumor debunked yet; but at the same time, I haven't seen any additional confirmation of it. We should though see a press release for the next modular any time now this month. I'm not sure myself about any particular pattern for Expert series train sets, but if the rumors about next year's modular being a train station are true, then I'd definitely expect a complementary Expert series train set for a potential modular station in the same year.
  19. That's a US calendar seen there, right? Unless its a British one, wouldn't the presence of a year three Nexo Knights set on a US calendar confirm that this upcoming wave will be a global release? Has that limited release rumor/speculation been debunked yet?
  20. Well, speaking of architecture, has anyone ever seen this guy's work? While browsing around Pinterest this morning, I found this one Instagram user with some seriously awesome microscale cityscape creations! I've never checked around Instagram before for Lego creations, but perhaps now I should more often. Bottom line is, wouldn't it be freaking awesome to see Lego do some Retro Futuristic, Decopunk micro cityscapes like these for the Creator theme?
  21. For the first group, I went with the S10 Roman Commander; while for the second group, it was the S13 Female Samurai.
  22. The Emerald Night? Definitely! But as I mentioned in another topic, it would be cool to see the set recolored from Earth Green to either Earth Blue or Dark Red, with wheels that match the color scheme of the locomotive. As for the Santa Fe, that's a train set I think should be completely remade with all new pieces to better achieve its streamlined look.
  23. Dang, thirty-one of these mechs all translated from concept art? That is seriously impressive! I mean, the guy's sketches have such a angular, eighties Transformers aesthetic, that it's like they were just begging to be "transformed" into Lego bricks. Amazing work!
  24. I like your usage of the Mystery Machine's windshield part in Trans-purple, which works nicely with its angles. As always, your render work is incredibly realistic and stunning!
